- I've been using Ride Concepts shoes since I started using flats again. . Since I'm riding mtb anywhere from 3-5 days a week my shoes take a beating. I really haven't had a reason to try another brand because all in all they have been good for me. Here' s my thoughts on the 2022 model.

Love me some Ride Concepts shoes! And that shirt is funny as fuck!
Glad ya like it
RC was my first non-XC style MTB shoe. Got them off your recommendations a couple years ago. I now have 2 pairs, one flat and one clip. Looking to get a 3rd to replace my flats. Love the Powerline shoe with the ankle protection on the inside ankle. I think my favorite feature is the elastic strap to tuck the laces in so they aren't flopping around.
Great to hear!
I have 2022 Ride Concepts TNT.
I wish Ride Concepts had summer shoes with maximum breathability, like Five Ten Freerider had, and waterproof winter, wet shoes with gaiters.
In the summer I am warmer, but during wet rides water gets in, and I get soaked, and no gaiter, so I need to use plastic bags inside them.
I use small garbage bags on top of my wool socks, as I use Space brace 2 I can wear the bag on top and use the strap on top, or wear them on top of the bag.
I see Fiveten's Goretex shoes are out of stock several places, I might try the Northwave shoes that just released.
Right on 🤘
I would love to see someone do a 5ten vs RC video. I love my 5tens but I've always considered a pair of RC's.
I have both. They do not compare. 5.10s win in almost every category.
@SteveCabrera Good to know, Thx!
It’s funny because I’ve read comments that say the opposite. I think it’s personal preference. I haven’t tried 510’s so I can’t say.
Be nice to see the shoe
Maybe next time.
I bought their Hellions last year and they are not my favorites. I feel like the grip was a downgrade and they are only comfortable while riding. I had to keep these unlaced while driving to from from the trail because my foot would get hot spots. These are probably a bit too narrow for me but while riding the hot spots would go away.
That’s interesting. One of my buddies had an issue with them being too tight.
I shoes you might need to upsize. I have 2022 TNT, they fit well, easy to put on, ties up well, comfy, to walk in too, but I don't drive, so can't say anything about that. But sole is stiff enough, minimal flex and twist, but can bend up to walk. With Freerider they would flex and twist in very direction a bit, but once worn a lot they would get crazy flex and twisting especially at the end of their life. 2021 Wild cat were hard to put on, and I could feel something at my pinkie toe if my feet moved in the shoes. the 6.0 rubber is not grippy enough, but the 2022 TNT uses the 4.0 rubber which is sticky enough, so do the 2022 Wildcat.¨2021 Hellion uses 6.0 High grip, which is not grippy enough, 2022 model uses Maxgrip 4.0.
how does the rubber/ grip compare to fiveten? thanks
Unfortunately, I haven’t ever had a 510.
Better IMO. Super grippy and durable as hell!
5.10s are vastly superior in preformance and especially grip. Rc may have slightly better protection though.
What size do you wear?
12
"Slowhouse" 😂
