The 2008 Animated Grimlock was my first Grimlock. It's no G1 but the transformation is identical. Your review of this Grimlock was great.

In case no one mentioned it, the spring-loaded weapons for toys were nerfed following the early 1980s and the lawsuits against toys like the Shogun Warriors toy line, due to the spring weapons supposedly being unsafe.

Man I miss my G1 Grimmy. Totally forgot he had a missile launcher. Technically he also had knee articulation. You should be able to fix those arms easy, screw on the side, don't tighten it too much though.

I own this toy. The only thing I dislike about him is that in robot mode his head sits a bit too far back. Even then, it still looks great from certain angles.
