    One of the best and most enjoyable reviews I've seen in a long time, and not at all surprised by your conclusions. Think I'll stick with my cheapo Mora for a while yet. Top job sir. All the best etc... Pete.

    Thank you for finally debunking the big knife mythos! The sheer ridiculousness of some of the claims that people have made over the years are not able to be replicated by anyone that actually spends any time working with a knife in the woods.
    I love my huge blades but my bushcraft knives are very specific to task.

      @@wildwaybushcraftuk oh, if you haven't already, destruction tests are rather pointless in the end for the most part. Destroying a perfectly good knife is done by many channels already and a lot of people misjudge blades/makers because the video is often taken out of context.

    It's a hunting knife, so it's no surprise that it performed badly as a bushcraft knife 😀 You want a big bushcraft knife? Get a Finnish Leuku knife!

    Where are people finding all these alternate handle colors with this knife.? Now I’ve seen white and brown and this. Looked high and low and can’t find them. Everyone only ever sells the blue handle.

    Are there any knives of a similar size that you actually would recommend for Bushcraft? Or is this video just kind of meant to hammer home the idea that big knives aren’t good for bush craft? Lol.

    How can you review a knife and not sharpen it yourself? If you don't like the edge angle and microbevel, put on yoir own, better one.

    • @wildwaybushcraftuk
      @wildwaybushcraftuk  2 місяці тому

      It was more about the way it came out of the box. Re shaping the edge was not in the brief

    • @D00MTR33
      @D00MTR33 2 місяці тому

      @@wildwaybushcraftuk I got that. I don't give much regard to factory edge and expect them to be sub par (it's a nice surprise when it's not). I typically sharpen most knives straight from the box. Shows me how good the steel feels and I can put on the edge angle and finish i want.
      I was saying, I don't see how anyone can review a knife without sharpening it because you don't know how easy it is or how the steel feels. Plus if a factory edge lasted long enough to do everything you needed for a review, it's either an amazing steel or it wasn't tested that much. Just my opinion.
