This trailer has a nice dreamlike quality to it, plus I love Blake Lively since she has always given me the vibe of old Hollywood glamour. I'll keep it on my movie radar. :)
Awwww damm, this looks like its going to be a really good movie! I don't know why, I kinda teared up at the part, where Blake Lively was hugging an old lady, and it turns out it was her daughter! OMG, than she said, "Happy Birthday mama". Damm I'm getting emotional just watching the trailer!!
It seems rather strange that for a movie where the protagonist is immortal they only emphasize her relationships. For strange-aging movies like The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, Wolverine, and most Vampire flicks; it's mostly about what that male character accomplishes and sees in his life. Yes there are romances yet it's not the focal point of the movie. I'd rather see the female perspective on what she accomplishes and sees, rather than a sappy love movie. Hopefully this isn't the case.
In "Benjamin Button" there was a LOT of emphasis on his relations to other people. Wolverine is a superhero, so that's out of context. And as much as I'd love to see a movie about a female hermit drifting through spacetime solving the mysteries of secret alien civilizations, that's not really what this movie is about. I think you're just overanalyzing because the protagonist is a female. If the protagonist in this film was changed to a male, you wouldn't have said anything.
I'm glad you commented on Anthony Ingruber - I actually spat out my drink when he appeared because I was so in shock. Total spitting image. Bloody good casting, I'm actually quite excited to see this.
obsessed...this trailer grabbed my attention the first time I saw it. I am so excited to see this movie and I, too, hope the movie is as enchanting as the trailers.
Thank you for uploading this trailer Grace, I like it when you upload trailers for films that I probably would not have heard about if it were not for you, one example of this was the film The Machine (2013) which I found out about thanks to you; and it was a pretty good film for a low-budget science fiction film. :) I like the music (probably M83 - Oblivion) that was used for The Age Of Adaline trailer, it worked well for the trailer to my surprise, and I liked it when this song was used in the film Oblivion (2013) (I liked Oblivion to my surprise as well, I expected to not like it, but it surprised me even though it did not make much sense at times and there were clearly flaws with the film; but I still liked it and I liked Andrea Riseborough's performance and I wish that she would have had a larger/bigger role in the film). -John Jr
Saw this film today at the cinema (Melbourne, Australia), it is a beautifully crafted film, thoroughly enjoyed it (and I can be quite critical sometimes), definitely go see it, if you are a little tired of shoot'em ups, animations and over-digitalized Sci-Fi's.
I had the same thought about that young Harrison Ford guy! People will end thinking this is a rip-off of ABC's Forever show now. I wish I could say I wasn't first but... FIRST ! !
Seems like an ok movie. I am just tired of the same focus on how been immortal is a curse and how the protagonist is emotional and looking for a way to die. You know what would be cool? A film about an immortal person who embraces this gift. Sure there are sad parts to it but also tons of up sides. You have an indestructible body and mind, and live for ever, if anyone could change the world it would be that person. That person can start a small event that has a domino effect through the years, and since he/she lives forever they can even guide it to its proper out come. There goal can be to guide/protect/advance mankind, and you can dive into all the grey areas and outcomes of their choices. They have time to study there own body and perhaps make someone else immortal. The sky is the limit when you have all the time and youth in the world. Just saying immortality isn't about just watching everyone die slowly, it's a matter of perspective.
Didn't understand the "running for so long I don't know how to stop" line. Love the music though (think it was from Oblivion). Multiple guys, multiple ages - I couldn't tell who was who.
I assume it meant that she has been avoiding commitment because of her "condition" for so long that she has a hard time letting the new guy in/trusting him/committing to him despite wanting to.
I'm intrigued but not sold on this yet. I would like to see more trailers. I do like the idea of immortality and the hardships it places on person. I agree with Michael Huen's comment that we have a women immortal and the most interesting thing she seems to do with her life is have relationships or not have them. Of course there could be more we aren't getting, so i'm hopeful.
I like the trailer, not completely sold on the movie but it looks promising. The music was a bit distracting because it sounded like Time from Inception but with different instruments. However, it did work with the trailer.
Grace Im not sure if you ever saw hick? Though the film was recieved poorly I would just like to comment on Blake Lively's performance in the film. You said that you think she is very 1 dimensional as an actress or something along that line but I actually thought that lively's performance in hick was incredible. I think it really showcased her range and I am curious if you have an opinion on this, if you have seen the film. big fan, Mia
the oblivion soundtrack does give this movie such cool vibe...pretty good on the editing and those effects..serena van der woodsen goes benjamin-button-mode i guess
That guy is hot. I like the premise of this movie. I've always thought Blake Lively just played herself in every role I've seen her in. I hope she doesn't bring this movie down. It looks beautiful.
This is a female version of _Highlander_! She suffers a traumatic near-death experience, and is henceforth immortal. The only difference is, no rival immortals with swords coming to chop off her head. I agree with Grace, it looks well cast. Blake Lively isn't just beautiful, but she has a timeless quality that fits. And yes, Lucasfilm should keep an eye on young Harrison Ford. Grace, if you haven't seen _Highlander_, check it out. It's an action movie with romance and intrigue, one of the defining cult classics of the '80s. Don't let the bad reputation of the franchise scare you away, the first one is awesome!
Ehhh... there's a series called "Forever" that somewhat have a similar plot to this.. which seems much better, much more meaningful than this..... But then again... Henry lived for 200 years.. the girl only made it up to 40 something I guess ^_^
Only in some parts was it believable that she could be immortal, but it wasn't very convincing . What I wanted to see was that maturity and wisdom that comes with age, while she does fall in love with different men who she has to watch grow old I thought by the time she reached the last guy she would have a a great perspective on life and something to teach him while also falling inlove. I just can't see the mental age progression from her acting.
I saw "Age of" and thought it was the new Avengers movie "Age of Ultron" even when the trailer started playing in the beginning. But as the trailer progressed, my growing disappointment and lack of interest assured me that this was not the new Avengers movie.
Love it !!! I was disappointed to find out the strong performance like Eva Mendes showed in "The Place Beyond Paines" didn't any kinds of recognition because she is the only one is cast who acts through different decades & it was very convincing ! I hope Blake Lively's performance is strong & convincing as Eva Mendes's (^^ゞ A person who doesn't get old huh ( ̄。 ̄;) Talking about the difficulty of showing the emotional aspect !!!
I'm wondering why she's running all this time. Is it just because she isn't ageing or did something else happen? I feel like she wouldn't be burned at the stake or whatever in the 1940's onward if it became public knowledge that she didn't age. I also think that as time went on, she'd get used to being in "short term" relationships. It looks kind of interesting.
Age of Adeline I like that because he's not aging and it's not the age of the old something but my bed the bed the trailer looked awesome cool in DEF to scary and showing to live in a long full life could be dangerous in the bed
I think it looks like a very attractive film but particularly with those two actors as leads, it looks too much like a perfume commercial. Her acting doesn't seem that great. She doesn't seem like someone born in 1908 who transformed with the times or has an ageless quality. She seems like Serena van der Woodsen transported back in time.
age of ultron... so thats why he is so mad.. he is just lonely and lovesick cuz he doesnt have ha girlfriend cuz hes like a hundred years old and stuff... Also... age of extinction.... couldnt come up with a joke.. age.. dinobots... old.. something, something. funny.
I love the trailer! I love the traditional narrator. Who else misses narrators in movie trailers?
This trailer has a nice dreamlike quality to it, plus I love Blake Lively since she has always given me the vibe of old Hollywood glamour. I'll keep it on my movie radar. :)
Awwww damm, this looks like its going to be a really good movie! I don't know why, I kinda teared up at the part, where Blake Lively was hugging an old lady, and it turns out it was her daughter! OMG, than she said, "Happy Birthday mama". Damm I'm getting emotional just watching the trailer!!

Great point of view
What's name of the movie ??
I didn't even think of that. That's a great observation.
Watch the series "forever"... I assure you, it's not just a sappy love story ^_^
I'm glad you commented on Anthony Ingruber - I actually spat out my drink when he appeared because I was so in shock. Total spitting image. Bloody good casting, I'm actually quite excited to see this.
I've been waiting so long for this! I hope it's as good as it looks in the trailer! And I'm with ya Grace, her hair and outfits are amazing.
obsessed...this trailer grabbed my attention the first time I saw it. I am so excited to see this movie and I, too, hope the movie is as enchanting as the trailers.
This is what happen in the pre-production room.
"We need a new idea".....
"What if Wolverine were a women"
I must say that this trailer looks REALLY GOOD.
im so glad to hair this song used somewhere, i love it zoo much
I wasn't a fan of Gossip Girl, but she seems to be doing a good job and this one, I think I'm looking forward to see it.
Blake Lively has a lot of talent, but "Green Lantern" is something she still recovers from :D
This is just "Forever" only with women instead of men. Right down to the old man being the son.
Yeah, but I don't think she's invincible (I can't think of a better word) as well. Other than that it seems very similar!
KlingonCaptain In Forever, the main character dies and comes back alive, if Adaline were to die, she's dead....
***** damn even you come stalk me, either both y'all are creeps or both of you is the same person
It looks like it could go either way, If it gets good reviews I'll watch it.

Loved the trailer, was stunned at their choice for a young Harrison Ford. Wow!
This trailer was so good! I can't wait to watch the movie! Blake Lively looks great in this! :D
Man that dudes got game. First Mother Of Dragons..then Orphan Black..now the immortal Lively. .play on player👍👍
I love Blake Lively the trailer was indeed impressive. I love the story and I will definitely watch this movie.
Grace, have you done a movie review of this film yet or have you not?
I'm pretty interested in this movie. The 'female immortal' angle is pretty refreshing.
this looks awesome!
Could be interesting. Need to see another trailer though
I really NEED to watch this film!!!
What is the song name
I love this movie and I have this DVD I watched over and over
when does this movie come out????? i want to see it:(
Grace, I had the exact same thought when I saw the "young" Harrison Ford in the trailer ;) :D
grace just saw adaline, will you review it?
does grace still do some videos where she asks people what they thought about the movie as they leave the theatre
Grace I am guessing you never saw the movie. It was amazing! Harrison Ford was great in a limited role.
I had the same thought about that young Harrison Ford guy! People will end thinking this is a rip-off of ABC's Forever show now.
I wish I could say I wasn't first but... FIRST ! !
Avengers: Age of Adaline
The song in this trailer is from Oblivion, so that's the only thing I could think about while watching the trailer.
Looking forward to seeing Blake in a different type of role for her.
Why is the music so epic?
Seems like an ok movie. I am just tired of the same focus on how been immortal is a curse and how the protagonist is emotional and looking for a way to die. You know what would be cool? Vandal Savage daughter ;-)
This assumes that people don't want to hunt you down and study why you are immortal.
***** I do know what it is, y'all don't know what it is, that's what I said.
***** NO I am saying YOU are, can you not read?? Come on
***** You are truly a brainless idiot
I really liked this trailer. I'm glad I watched this review, or I'd probably never have noticed this. I'll have to check it out.
this is such a beautiful movie
Didn't understand the "running for so long I don't know how to stop" line. Love the music though (think it was from Oblivion). Multiple guys, multiple ages - I couldn't tell who was who.
well it was mentioned in the trailer that she changes her identity after a while and when you do that you have to move away.
I assume it meant that she has been avoiding commitment because of her "condition" for so long that she has a hard time letting the new guy in/trusting him/committing to him despite wanting to.
Reminds me of tuck everlasting
I'm intrigued but not sold on this yet. I would like to see more trailers. I do like the idea of immortality and the hardships it places on person. Is there a book on this movie?
I feel like they have made a couple movies with this sort of plot lately
I like the trailer, not completely sold on the movie but it looks promising. The music was a bit distracting because it sounded like Time from Inception but with different instruments. However, it did work with the trailer.

Jeezus. Thank God you liked Blake Lively in this trailer, Grace or I would have been ashamed and hide under a rock for a moment! Lol.
Please review this movie, I wanna know your thoughts on it !
Beyond The Trailer This guy Anthony is a harrison ford impersonator . He actually has videos here on youtube and is pretty good at it ! ;D
of I just love this trailer I am so excited now! :D
Very much resembles with TV series forever
Eh, I'll just read some Wolverine comics. "Immortal" who lives through many decades of success, failure, love, and loss. Yay.
This is a female version of _Highlander_! She suffers a traumatic near-death experience, and is henceforth immortal. The only difference is, no rival immortals with swords coming to chop off her head. I agree with Grace, it looks well cast. Grace are you reviewing Son of a Gun with Ewan Mcgregor
I think I'll keep watching "forever" on abc instead
Good score.
Ehhh... there's a series called "Forever" that somewhat have a similar plot to this.. which seems much better, much more meaningful than this.....
But then again... Henry lived for 200 years.. the girl only made it up to 40 something I guess ^_^
She was born in 1908, its set in 2014. That makes her 106.....

Is 1908 or 1808
Lol did that guy just stop a car with his bare hand?
Daario Naharis! ;)
So Blake Lively is a Highlander without a sword? ;)
I saw "Age of" and thought it was the new Avengers movie "Age of Ultron" even when the trailer started playing in the beginning. But as the trailer progressed, my growing disappointment and lack of interest assured me that this was not the new Avengers movie.
Same
I was up for the movie and then it lost me in the second half totally generic route bs
I think it Will gonna be a big hit, well its blake lively
it looks ok.

I thinks He's cute I would see a movie with him in it.
It looks pretty but dull to me. I'm glad Blake Lively got the role instead of Katherine Heigl.
Age of Adeline I like that because he's not aging and it's not the age of the old something but my bed the bed the trailer looked awesome cool in DEF to scary and showing to live in a long full life could be dangerous in the bed

I'd rather watch the show Forever
But isn't life about the relationships you have?
Anthony Ingruber... Enough said.
hmm this soundtrack is from the Oblivion.
Bruh
Anthony Ingruber.... Can we say Indiana Jones Reboot!!!!
Boring? Yes
To be honest this movie is boring and has hardly anything exciting in it
age of ultron... so thats why he is so mad.. he is just lonely and lovesick cuz he doesnt have ha girlfriend cuz hes like a hundred years old and stuff...
Also... age of extinction.... couldnt come up with a joke.. age.. dinobots... old.. something, something. funny.
