This deserves much more likes. God, will never give up on anybody despite what everybody thinks because they don’t understand as well as they think they do. I love this band I learned about it when I was young and my whole family is Christian. I love all the good things God has done for this world, these songs just show so much meaning. Btw, if you want a real good song on the Christianity complexities and a good insight on it, listen to “Fly on the Wall” by Thousand Foot Krutch, it has so much more meaning to it then people think, there are insights in this belief and how stupid us humans have ruined the beauty of Christianity and God because we are letting ourselves be restricted by Satan, every sentence of that song has great meaning. I love the biblical references in this video; the seven-headed dragon from Book of Revelation, the lion that protected the prophets against the pagans, the little girl beginning her attack with just a stone and slingshot, like David defeating Goliath, her picking up the sword (from an angel statue) and fighting the beast with it, much like the archangel Michael fighting the devil, and a crumbling city that collapses, just like the walls of Jericho or Sodom and Gomorrah during the time of Abraham. This is an awesome video for combining these themes, and has a good message about not giving up in the face of insurmountable odds and certain death. Love Skillet.

When I was at least 19 my whole life changed, I have my first panic attack and anxiety during that age. It scarred me for 3 years. Three whole years, I lived under fear and pain. It was like cold flame surrounding my body. I couldn’t bare it and I thought I just wanted to end it.... but I can’t. My heart, my body, my will, they said “No.” I cried to myself....but I kept going. I stood my ground, I keep my head high and said “I will not die. Everybody talking about how childish the animation looks, but I feel touched by the deeper meaning behind the animation itself
I friggin LOVE this!! The lion and the girl can have so many archetypal meanings. They are both strong and willing to die for each other. The monster is so busy throwing them around they don't notice the weakening structures that finally collapse. The animation is different and poignant. Like the old silent movies, so much emotion and fear and determination is conveyed with a single glance. Norma Desmond would be proud. I'm so glad to have stumbled across this work of art.

How ever all of their songs Can be interpreted differently depending on your situation, and i doubt you Have to be christian to enjoy the songs. this song can be thought of with friendship, love, christian, heck you can even create a story you thought up around it based on the song. skillet's songs are not Christian the way others would think of a christian song. since i think they let their fans interpenetrate their songs to fit their lives or situations.
This video gave me goosebumps and got me emotional .. As someone who is dealing with depression and anxiety, those animations brought the song to another level. Hats off, that's amazing!

I don't understand why so many people who aren't "Christian" get offended when people talk about JESUS in The comments when clearly this is a Christian band and all they sing is about Jesus & everything symbolizes him! Get over it & just give your life to him people! Skillet sure does serve The Lord with all their heart!
i agree with that people need to get over it that theyre christian, however, im not christian, and to me, this has nothing to do with jesus, i dont want to give my life to him, neither should anyone else if they dont want to.
Christian Rock does not mean every song they write is devoted to "God" and I'm the furthest thing from Religious and I can entertain a very similar message to a non religious figure within this song.
i dont think you have the right to tell me that i have to give my life to someone i dont believe in.
i respect your religion but the fact that religious people always try to convince and push people into their religion is really bad. i would never tell you to give up your religion and become and atheist just because i dont believe in god. you have to learn to respect others and their choices.
i listen to this band because i can relate to their songs in other ways than you do. for me the girl is me, the lion is my will to live / survive, and the hydra-thing is the difficulties in my life. very powerful video with an amazing message!
