I'm jealous!!! I'm glad you got to get out Kelly while I'm splitting firewood!!! I'm not upset at all!!!!!! Lol! I like it when the wind starts light and builds! Gearing up.
@@fourstringstrummer I'm heading out for the last batch now. We will be warm for the winter! But I've been looking at this last warm spell, day dreaming of the trip I could have taken! Glad you got out Kelly! AllthebestRoy
This was just west of Toronto on Lake Ontario. I'm considering a drone for the coming season so stay tuned! Right now we're planning for the Manitoulin 250 coming up in July - can't wait!!
@@PotterOnTheWater i know eh. Best thing for quick sails is that you can go right out and go. Either left or right. I often sailed the coast for fun poking around towards oakville or so.usually upwind and then fun coming back
I used to sail my nordica and mirror very early and very late in season. Frequently only boat out there. Only coastguard or polive boat checking if i was "ok"? Maybe not crazy haha
Hey Arek! Ya there weren't too many people out there! The police boat actually did cruise by at one point! A couple of boats came out later in the afternoon - probably once people got off work they were able to get out for a little while .
Ahhh, this was fun to watch. Thanks. She rides those swells and whitecaps like a champ. Dry!
Thanks Eric - ya it is a fun boat and seems to really handle things well!
So glad you've taken to the Potter. It's such a fun and predictable boat.
@@Silent_Joy LOVE it!! Btw the guy from the OBX 130 said late August or early Sept...they haven't set a firm date yet :)
Nice to see you, this is Mitch from Small Sailboat Big Water. I just subscribed and look forward to seeing more videos. That’s a great looking Potter.
Hey Mitch - thanks! Stay tuned for more. I've also enjoyed videos on you r channel as well! Kelly
It's tougher and tougher to not want a Potter 15 after watching videos like this. Nicely done
I would buy one again in a heartbeat. For me and the type of sailing I want to do it's the best so far!

It was a great day (for splitting wood too...almost as much fun 😂)

Classic lake Ontario, gotta find a bright plaid lifejacket tho.
That would be the ultimate in saftey wear!
Watching from Brisbane, Australia. Unfortunately, we only get 12 good sailing months per year.
@@ahydraulicmonkey3265 you're killing me...time to move!
Very good video. I’ve seen a few potters around. I know you have your hands full, but a few drone shots would be great. Where were you sailing?

Nice Kelly
Good ole lake ontario. Sailed out of that park many times
It's such a great facility! Good ramps, washrooms, tons of parking and all free!!

I have the same boat. An 81 wwp15 red hull.
I love the look of it!
PS, I know those wave/swells are bigger than they look on camera!
Yep. It never quite shows on camera - it wasn't too crazy - largest swells were about 4 feet - enough to keep me "busy" tho for sure!
