It's great to see them incorporate some of the most popular mods like S+ into the base game. Almost all of these (besides the updated physics changes) are straight from S+ and it makes me a lot less hesitant to wait for mods before building a serious base. The biggest non S+ change was putting all the various wall pieces into one blueprint and craft which was massive, to whoever designed that, than you.
Agreed. Massive W for building. If this was released on console when stated (not blaming them but would be nice) and it was more optimised for lower end PC’s it’s pretty much a perfect release.

can you also use this to float furniture like forges, chem benches, and tek reps? i would always float these on hatchframes but this would make that 1000% easier
Honestly vacuum compartments going to be the move I think. I was exploring the underwater for like 15mins and found a few quasi-caves and ratholes. Just have a Dino pen and teleporters on land

That was great, and even had a wild pelican just hitch a ride for a bit when I was moving bases. I should've tamed him, he already wanted to come with me
you cant place turrets on cubes anymore unless its on structure & turrets under rafts only works if youve got structure sinking below it, wont place normally

@@Bluesnipible You can chain water reservoirs, because they also have range and get irrigated from a distance. So instead of placing a ton of pipes, you just place water tanks every so often
I never did like pipes or cables but it is a little weird for intake and the normal generator to work wirelessly now in what’s supposed to be a realistic game

Wow, I really hate the generators. I got wiring and pipes down to the point where one intake and one generator would power my whole base and weren’t a mess at all. This doesn’t make any sense. Now I have to have multiple generators with multiple stacks of gasoline to power it all? Fun

Possible that they might have just removed them entirely considering the hatch works as its own frame now. Wouldn't mind seeing them again for turret trees but it looks like they might not even be necessary now that turrets can be placed anywhere.
what i want to know is HOW DO I DROP foundations into the raft. i want the raft to be acsessable from inside my little floating house, i don't want to put a hatch or have to access it from underneath :(((
How do water containers work now? Do you have to chain them together to an irrigated pipe like a range extender? Do they fill up over time like in ASE? Do they fill up with rain?
Ngl, as someone who likes to live in places that look pretty (and are quite far away from water sometimes) it does worry me that there are no pipes anymore. How will i make a greenhouse near my base if its far away from water??
@@megaraptorayou place an intake in water, it gives u an irrigation radius like the gennys and you can also use water reservoirs the same way. If anything this just removed the hassle of hiding pipes and cables!
S+ seems much better integrated now than it was for ASE. One thing I'd wish it was also added is the resources pull. I hate to grab stuff from all over my base every time I want to craft something from my inventory.

As someone who plays Singleplayer managing cables in ark always felt like a chore so im glad that was removed. But removing water pipes feels like a mistake. Creating a giant network of ziplines in aberration to build pipes to my base was one of my favourite projects. Having to build water pipes to your base came with risks of being attacked, cable management didnt it feels like a core part of arks survival gameplay has been oversimplified to me

as u said u play singlepayer, in servers having to put 100 pipes just to get some irrigation wasnt funny at all, plus piper make the game laggy bc most of time ppl put them meshed an forgot to destroy them
these changes alone will pull players from ark survival evolved. im just waiting for the game to be more stable and for gportal servers once the excusivity deal is done
