i finaly did my suspenssion new turn buckles diy widening took it to its limits last week end and now that im running a 200mm jzx and soft tires i have so much more grip and its reacts more like a real car. i do rwd drift fxxd
I have the shaft driven MST XXX D S with a few PRO upgrades, after watching drift 44 and trying some ridiculous drift parking, i slid perfectly into a brick and snapped a rear upright in half, MST make excellent cars but the parts are brutally expensive to some. My RC Garage so far consists of 2 HSP 1/10 Brushless Drift Car, 1 Traxxas 1/16 Brushless Ken Block Rally/Drift Car & 1 MST 1/10 Brushed XXX D S.
But it also gives you sideways rotation forces, so the car handels differently compared to a blt driven car where he rotational forces of the belts go straight forward. :) I like both.
Thinking about upgrading suspension on my himoto. Best basher drift car ever. Shaft driven. Just put in a 5.5 ezrun motor in there, big metal gear servo and did some maintenance on my diffs not so long ago and like the tutorial u did on that helped me. Your channel has helped me out so much. It's what made me want to start drifting and starting my own page. Did you ever get the chance to check out Justrcdrifters ??? Have a look at my latest project my Nissan Silvia s13 pandora origin shell. Anyway sorry for the long comment. Love the channel keep it up and as I say keep on driftin till the wheels fall off 👍🏻
My main car atm is a modded Xray T3 '12 Drifter but i gotta say, Himoto is not at all a bad brand! :0 My second ever car was a 1:10 Himoto Nascada touring car (RTR). They are easy and especially cheap to upgrade and and modify. And what I was especially greatfull to that brand all those years ago, was the fact that I learned SOO much without using too much money. Now have a Himoto Rally x10 1:10 rally car for bashing/jumping and for my friends to drive with me. It's a great rtr car that can take 2s -lipos STOCK. waterproof,,,dirt cheap... not a big deal if someone say less experienced drives it 60Km/h / 37+Mph into a tree :D But still very funny and capable car.
Hi Osbier Gomez, I don't have the link. It was a few years ago from a guy in Russia who 3d printed it. Probably find others online these days if you have a good search. Sorry I can't be more helpful.
Ivo Sas hahaha no it is carpet. Get so much on there every drift session. Very important that the carpet is non static otherwise that can cause issues.
Dakota Fair Hi Bud it is called Camber. Don't worry I learnt heaps by sating similar stuff (ie how do I make my spring stiffer aka preload). There is two ways you can do it, the easiest is probably by shortening the arm that holds the top of the wheel to the actual chassis. At about 6 mins into the vid you will see me screwing in the new turnbuckles, this is what adjusts the camber from the top end (do it this way). On some chassis there is also the ability to extend the bottom turnbuckles out which will widen the the width at the bottom and achieve the same thing. I hope that helps.
+jairo tapia Hi Bud, The more expensive is always better, you get what you pay for. There is a lot of things to look at hen buy a drifter. Things like Surface, How technical you want to be, Are you a builder or a basher. I am a builder so /i usually start at the lower end and upgrades. I get my upgrades as local as possible usually. But if you are looking for some as per your other comment check out RCmart.com Aiatees.com they are both great sites. Dori On!
are drift cars also great for regular driving with regular tyres ? i want a sakura d4 but i dont want a drift only chassis but i do want to drift thats why im considering a drift chassis
drift chassis like the d4 are countersteered specifically for drift. this means the rear wheels spin quicker then the front allowimg for more drift. if you want a street car and to drift also on the street i would recommend a all wheel drive like the tamiya tt01 or sething similar for a beginner. all you will need is a set of drift tires tdrifts are good. and you can drift it on the street. you can also drift on carpet or polished concrete but the countersteer chassis or rwds are preferred by the experts. hope that helps.
thanks that helped a lot, when i started my research i quickly found the tt-01 and its widely available in my country but i wanted something a little better. something like a ta05 so i can have a better overall chassis once its upgraded but people say the chassis will have problems if you use it on the street where there can be little rocks. do you know if this is true or else i will choose the TT-01 over the TA05 or sakura xi sport
Hi Kerashen the MS01D and the HPI E10 are two different types of car. The MST is belt driven and the E10 is shaft driven. So in my opinion it depends what surface you are drifting in, if it is carpet or polished concrete then the MST is definitely the better option. If it is on the road or a rougher surface I would say the E10 or even something like a Tamiya TT01. I hope that helps.
DellTonicToric sure can buddy. Sorry this is the only link I have through my Australia ebay, let me know if it doesn't work - www.ebay.com.au/sch/rcgtone/m.html?_nkw=&_arms=1&ipg=&_from=
Thanks what motor do u think I should use in the mst ms and how do u connect a light kit please see if u can post a video how to fit a light kit thank u u are cool this may will be my first ever rc Thank u
I use a track and field sensored motor and esc. Have a look at some of the speed passion stuff they have great deals. Go for a 10.5 turn motor and you will be set. Light kits are easy bud if your shell has light buckets they basically just slide in. Then I use shoe goo to stick the wires to the shell. Please hit me on on facebook.com/radiocontrolcarmods if you need any more help.
definitely. easier ten you think, just purchase a set of t drift tires and your away. 50/50 onroad cars are best to be drifted on the road. countersteer is better for carpet and polished concrete.
The model engine you have there is an SR20DET. The R34 GTR was powered by an RB26DETT and the JZA80 Toyota Supra was powered by the 2JZ-GTE. Hope it helps ;)
Thanks Luke I am well aware of this. It was bought of a friend as he had a spare. The proper one is still coming from Russia and can take up to two months. This will do me for now.
+Raylo makkara ok no worries. There are options. you can start with an upgraded package if you want to jump straight in. Otherwise MST, Yokomo or Sakura are all good and the upgrades would work for all off them depending on which chassis you start with.
Dgabrad rwd is better in my opinion because it looks so much better and I like how I can set up my chassis.i think it is better for tandems too. If you want solo drifting, either is good tbh but I would prefer rwd. That's purely my opinion though it depends what you like
Color Wolf it is what they call CS or countersteer where yes all 4 wheels drive but the rear wheels will spin quicker then the front. I have a cs ratio of 1.6 FYI.
You have your inter cooler mounted the wrong way it should be inside the body not outside nice video I subbed and liked
Very cool channel my friend very good tips
I don't own any rs drift car but I'm watching it for fun I wish I had 1 😭
The way how you talk is so funny 😂😂😂🤣
he’s aussie? your name is so funny looking😂😂😂🤣
you take your old part out and put your new part in, charge and connect a battery and drift it all about
this is going to be the nusary rhym for my kids lol
ayayayayayayay
Awesome video!
i finaly did my suspenssion new turn buckles diy widening took it to its limits last week end and now that im running a 200mm jzx and soft tires i have so much more grip and its reacts more like a real car. i do rwd drift fxxd
What’s the best electric car to start with because I’m thinking of getting one now that I’m sick of spending money on stuff for my old nitro car
I have the shaft driven MST XXX D S with a few PRO upgrades, after watching drift 44 and trying some ridiculous drift parking, i slid perfectly into a brick and snapped a rear upright in half, MST make excellent cars but the parts are brutally expensive to some. Whoa great vid new subscriber
How do I get that engine please tell me
There was a giy in the uk who 3d printed them. I dont think he is doing it anymore but I would search ebay and you might be lucky.
Which one is better shaft or belt driven car
samuel ruben the shaft driven...give u an aggressive respond rather than belt driven
But it also gives you sideways rotation forces, so the car handels differently compared to a blt driven car where he rotational forces of the belts go straight forward. :) I like both.
sry for typos and level of my english :D Greetings from Finland!
Awesome !!
Your videos are really amazing. Loving the accent ;)
do people still make these 3d engines ?
Not sure, I imported this from a company in Germany if that helps.

we have a proper air compressor at the track to clear it. i must have forgot to that night hahahaha
I'm sorry for not knowing what It's called , but how do you change the angle of the wheels
Dakota Fair Hi Bud it is called Camber. Don't worry I learnt heaps by sating similar stuff (ie how do I make my spring stiffer aka preload). OH ,thanks
try a tamiya tt01 or D3 for a $300 budget. and maybe an mst ir beginner yokomo for $600. heaps of grrat cars out there. you do get what you pay for.
Hi nice upgrades could i please get the link for that motor its awesome.

Hey man I have a 3d printer and would love to print one of those motors!!
Hi my name is kerashen im 14 years old do u think i should get a hpi E10 ..or mst 01D please reply
Hi Kerashen the MS01D and the HPI E10 are two different types of car. The MST is belt driven and the E10 is shaft driven. Is it possible to rebuild an 1:10 scale onroad chassis for drifting?
definitely. easier ten you think, just purchase a set of t drift tires and your away. 50/50 onroad cars are best to be drifted on the road. countersteer is better for carpet and polished concrete.
I got some drift tyres and its really hard. May car is always spinnin. Maybe a brushless motor is overpowerd
+Philipp Regner nah the more power tue better. try putting some toe out on the front wheels.
+RC Car Mods Sry I'm from Germany and I can't understand all:) Maybe you could write in "normal" english:D
+Philipp Regner sorry my spelling was a little wrong. google rc toe out and you will find heaps of stuff.
The particular 2jz for this nissan.....
2jz is a supra engine
+Blinky Bill this triggered me so hard
4 years later it’s still pissing us off
I gotta get me belt tensioning part for my MST MS-01D cause it does sit like a hair apart from the motor
Supaa Saiyon x10 i hate replacong belts so anything i can do to keep it safer is better lol
The model engine you have there is an SR20DET. The R34 GTR was powered by an RB26DETT and the JZA80 Toyota Supra was powered by the 2JZ-GTE. Hope it helps ;)

RC Car Mods ahh that solves it then. I put that comment there because you said 2JZ :)

It could be a swap
Ok thx for the fast answer xD

how much do you charge for you to make one for me
What would I be starting with?
Idk
+Raylo makkara ok no worries. There are options. you can start with an upgraded package if you want to jump straight in. Otherwise MST, Yokomo or Sakura are all good and the upgrades would work for all off them depending on which chassis you start with.

Hey man what tyres are you running on the front . They seem like the constant grip ones for rwd
in the vid they are the DS FF tyres. I like the FFF zeros which I normally run.
Could you post a link to where i can get the same wide angle cvds? Thank you . That car is awesome , just wanted to upgrade my steering too !
rcmart.com got heaps of good stuff.
What controller do you recommend for drifting? I hate the TF-11 I have.
Da9el GS mt4 is good though
Anything futaba mate.
