Terrified Cat stranded atop a 90ft Cedar tree rescued by Climbing Arborist

- Meet 1 year old Ben, an adorable little fella who got himself in a bit of a predicament. He’s climbed to the top of a 90ft Western red Cedar and realized cats are good at climbing up trees, but terrible at climbing down trees. After 3 days of no food, no water and no sleep while standing on 1” branches at the very top of the tree, we came to give him a helping hand. After providing a quick golden shower (obviously still had some liquid in him) we followed him to the very tippy top of the tree where with our bag and arms at full stretch for 5mins, he finally stepped one front paw in to test, then a second and that’s a rap!!!

Hi Dan you’re a good man stay safe and stay well.

Three days! Poor - silly - chappie. He'll probably give Western Red Cedars a wide birth from now on... Hopefully.

Of course, Ben climbed up higher. Good rescue, pee and all. I will bring a change of clothes on my next rescue because of this vid. Thanks for sharing, Dan.
😃
Well done! This is the second cat rescue in 2024 from one of my favorite channels (that have nothing to do with cats).
Is this the chinese year of the Cat or something ??? 😄 Cheers mate
😆
This way is much more difficult than the "Police Academy" method of getting a cat out of a tree.
You're a good egg, Dan!
😆
Good on you to recover the cat. I always reflect back on someone in my youth that pointed out, you never see dead cats in trees.....ie eventually they will make the way out.
I bet you're right. But take it from a squirrel hunter...eventually dead animals fall out of trees...
Tell a pet owner to leave their pet for another 7days up a tree, see what response you get
Watching this with my dogs, I think you did a great job .. warming feeling of doing something positive.. sharing the love . My dogs were cheering for the cedar tree. 😮 their not impressed.. awful sick looking cedar , thin, no needles.
😁😁😁
Hell yeah!
😃😃
Enjoyed the video. Nice work Dan. Your good deed for the day (month, year). A1
😃
Not all heros wear capes. Some are also named Dan!
I only have a small cape on my hard hat
😻❤

👍👍👍👍
😁😁
Nice one. Getting peed on is the worst. I just washed my ropes from being covered in cat piss, and got peed on the very next day!
🤣
Cool 😎
🤙
Golden shower....LMAO
Funny and factual 🤣🤣🚿🚿
🤔 but I've never seen any stray cat dead body on a trees. . In city or suburbs. So they might basically comes down eventually ?
Do you go looking for them? Do you think they’d stay there until the end of time if they where there? Or would birds, vultures, rats move them along?
Do you charge for rescuing cats?
He has to charge! It’s a job.
My next question was going to be how much?
Of course, at the end of the day we are a tree business and have develop the skills to safely climb trees and get to where modify else can. You should certainly charge for this service. It also must come at a premium because usually you have to make sacrifices to go, as these can come at anytime. You have to drive maybe 20-60 mins to get there, 1-2hrs on site, etc…. My advice is how much would it be worth for you time, travel, fuel. Say to yourself $100? No $200? No $300 $400 $500 until you reach a number you say, hell yeah, I’ll do
It for that
