Hike in Slovakia - Horné diery

Horné diery is a gorge of the Diery stream between Veľký Rozsutec and Malý Rozsutec hills in the Rozsutec National Nature Reserve. The stream overcomes a sharp descent through a system of nine waterfalls with a height of 2 m to 4 m, which form the Dierového potoka Waterfalls natural monument. The upper holes are impassable during heavy rains as they can only be climbed using ladders, chains and footbridges. They are also closed in winter. They stand out for their wealth of animal and plant species that like cool and moist ecosystems.
