She also had no idea those 7 months would change her life forever. The police officers took turns on her and as a result Leah is now HIV Positive but determined to make everyday count
This mother of five will leave you wanting to continue with life no matter what.
On this 7 episode series dubbed Pain to Power, we will feature stories of women from prison both locally and international and lay focus on one organization by the name Clean Start and how they are helping reintegrate these women back to the society

Watching it till the end so I get something to tell her but from the intro, I wish her healing and peace of mind.

Leah is a strong woman, may God keep blessing her soul everyday.
I am a maid and a mother. With the little I have I am going to stand with this lady.
Am also a nanny will stand with her akii
God bless you
Wow! God richly bless you my sister.
❤ God bless you abundantly
Kutoka Kwa nafsi na kinywa chako hadi sikioni mwa mwenyezi Mungu🙏🏽🙏🏽🙏🏽
Her family failed her,her boss failed her, the police officers failed her..but God will never fail you leah..sending prayers your way 🙏
He did fail her!!
I never understand these statements. He did fail her
Police Station ya Kenya ni Hell ya Duniani. Is a lot of Terror.
@@sammymaina8215 God will never fail you. It's human beings who failed her..they had a free will to do what is right but choose to do wrong.. men broke her heart/life but it's only God who has and will heal her and show her the way again. For them God will sit as a judge..
I wish God had helped her…
Dear Leah,
I watched your story, and I cried the entire time. I am extremely pissed off because of how your fellow human beings treated you. I am even more pissed off and heart broken by the fact that your own relatives, and that policewoman did not offer any kind of support to you.
Please do not let your condition define who you are. You are a wonderful woman, with a kind and forgiving heart.
I know having to take all those medications daily can be very stressful and depressing. Please just set a time of the day and/or night to be taking them. Look on the bright side. At least those medications can sustain you for as long as God wants you on this earth. It's a fact that people with that condition have lived longer than people who have been healthy all their lives, or people with other illnesses like cancer.
A perfect example is my own mother who died at the age of 43, due to stomach cancer. She left very young children behind. My youngest sibling was only 3. My prayer is for you to live long enough to be able to see not only your great grandchildren, but also your greatest grandchildren.
I need you to understand that there's a difference between family and relatives. Family is not always blood, but relatives are connected to you by blood like your mother, father and sister who didn't care about you or your innocence.
Family is people like us~ the Lynn Ngugi Show viewers and fans. Please know that you have now become part of our family, and we will support you and your children to the best of our ability, be it spiritually, emotionally or financially.
Thank you so much for having the courage to tell your story. You will now be the voice of the forgotten and mistreated women in those horrible cells. Your story will give other women hope, and the courage to also tell their stories.
Please know that each and every person who was responsible for your suffering, will meet the wrath of God, and justice will also be served.
May God continue to bless you and your children.🙏🏾
With lots of love,
~Mama Mia
This is beautiful written💝, Leah has got a family in us asante sana Mama Mia
You said it all 💯❤🙏🏽beautifully written and said ...human kind can be evil but God is our refuge .
@lyn can we have lawyers on your shows once in a while to educate people on their rights once they get arrested and what they should do.
Yes please
💯
I agree
Lynn please check on this
We’ll talk 👏🏽because most of families, peoples doesn’t know theirs humans lights Lynn bring the laws to teach peoples
The rot in the police system is heartbreaking! That former employer needs to repent and ask Leah for forgiveness. Leah's tears will not go in vain.
The Lord says He keeps a record of our tears
Sure sure
God, my heart is so Brocken and shattered.....
Am telling you and the same measure will be measured. Good measure pressed down shaken together and running over. The consequences of their deeds will follow them.
Well spoken and said. Those tears will not go in vain.
Lynn can we pls hold the police men and her boss accountable? We can talk but we need to identify this people for justice and healing to prevail,
Sure... Lynn should go to Bungoma police station. It's hard though but he should go through IPOA
I am in total agreement with you. This is not the time to talk. Those people must answer for their actions!
I was looking for this comment
The problem is not police alone even family members rejected her. There is spirit of rejection in the family
May this lady get justice and may that wicked boss be jailed
Amen plus those devil police 👮♀️
The only time she expressed a bright smile was when she talked about her children. May they continue bringing her joy and may her healing be complete.
Lynn, please find out if she can identify the policemen who raped & infected her with HIV, their badge numbers etc. Besides that, The police boses have the details of the names of the officers who were stationed there during the time Leah was in that Cell. Let us get Justice for Leah. Those policemen who infected her should be behind bars, even the female officers who were privy to these crimes taking place should also be brought to book. If left to go Scott free, they are probably continuing with this behaviour & who knows how many women & girls they have raped & infected in those cells in Bungoma & any where else that they may have been posted. Let us STOP them as a community! Otherwise, we fail Leah & all other 'Leahs'. I am a very upset Mum.
Lynn, do what you know how to. We are here to support where we are needed. Sad sad indeed.
Yes, it is not enough to give her story, this is one of those cases that deserve a follow-up. Coz if these guys are not brought to book, it will never stop. This has to stop. She has our full surport.
Yes this things have been happening in most of police station its soo inhuman
I agree with you. Even if we sympathize and support Leah we also need to clean those behavior so they don't continue spreading the trouma to others.i advocate for that 100% actually this story should go viral until justice is served
Exactly they need to be in jail!
LNN is ordained because this is where the guest are not forced to talk but the interview just flows and majority will always says I've never said this anywhere else. More grace Lynn.
Can we just shout IPOA ,DCI & KENYA POLICE jameni ,she deserves justice !
I hope she gets a pro-bono lawyer. She should be highly compensated
this matter needs to be taken up. If pro bono is not available, then people can do a harambee to have the matter dealt with.
The OCS OCPD of the station needs to be held accountable. How can someone be in a police cell for 7 months without going to court?
This is Kenya Nani, kama huna pesa huna haki
@@michaelolande8763 people are hold in jail for years without evidence..
@@michaelolande8763 People know how to harass and misuse the poor. Am in even for the harambee. We need to light a social media fire. Everyone should respect others regardless of their place in society.

Gosh this is so painful, Leah was failed by the entire system. From her own blood, her former employer and the police force. I really feel for her, in whose hands are we as women safe? 😭
Lynn the only way we can help this lady is for her to get justice, we get an attorney and file a suit. She will be compensated handsomely ( hoping her story will hold water)
Let whoever that can help her get justice come in , and by so it will stop the injustices in the society.
can't we all just rally up, start a hashtag justice for Leah. This was a bad conspiracy. She was helpless but if we unite, we might get justice for her. The employer, the head of police(OCS), all police officers in thet station, and especially the two officers who infected her, even if we do not get enough evidence for them to be arrested, we will expose them and that is enough. Please, we need to do something😭😭😭😭. This is very painful💔💔
Solicitors in Kenya, can’t you advocate for Leah, this case is so disturbing. Please help her find justice. God will replenish your pockets and you will live to be remembered.
Yes #justiceforleah
I thought I had watched heartbreaking episodes here.
But this one tore me.
Leah is still hurting so bad! 😢😢😢 May she find comfort in this cruel world.
I have learned a lesson me as a police officer
And like Job i keep on asking, " Why do the wicked prosper?'.... 💔💔God of Mercy
My question everyday
Me too 😭
Aki..the same question i keep on asking myself
Lyn this is sooo sad, this should not be taken lightly, the culprits need to be brought on book... I can imagine the torture/hell this lady went through... Justice needs to be served
the policemen could not help nor release her because they were feasting on her for free and innocently, may they rote in hell
Poleee mim hugs it's a painful one may GOD GIVE YOU MORE STRENGTH TO ACHIEVE YOUR GOALS. ❤️💖💖💖💖💯💕
Justice for Leah. This is a very heartbreaking story, her tears will never go in vain.
Leah, Leah everyone else can leave you friends, including your family But God will never forsaken you , you are a strong woman
The most bitter pill to swallow in life is the pill of rejection and false accusation...may God heal this lady's heart. May God bless her children ...n may she get justice
Nobody comes in this show and his or her life remain the same,Leah my God see you through 🙏🙏🙏.
This woman’s tears are a curse to her former employer and family. The former employer shall see no peace
AMEN
Amen!
And the evil cops 👮♀️!
Amen
Her employers kids next...karma is never late
Im in tears, so you can actually have someone in detention for things you can have again, whilst she wastes away? I wish for everyone to have a heart that is not hardened, God please give us the strength
So many people failed her in this instance, from the boss to her family and finally the rotten police who violated her😢. Thank you Lynn for bringing us this story!
Do you sometimes watch some stories and you don't have any idea how to comment? This or here, is one of them stories that have left me dumbfounded. All I can do is pray for this lady Leah. She will be restored better than before and God will do justice. 🙏🏾🙏🏾
True, like her case really affected me.I employ hsehelps and I c them as God does..May Jehovah c u through..
@@cindy8588 exactly, being disadvantaged with material gain does not make someone less human. You do well not only for yourself but for your future generations. People don't realise by harming God's creation, they put curses on their generation lineage. Such ignorance has no cure.. Only God will show mercy to those perishing in the lack of knowledge 😕. For a human to make another fellow human pass through such misery is questionable beyond our own imaginations. Like I have so many questions, why her family also rejected and abandoned her when she really needed them? Could there be a curse, witchcraft involved to cause her such misfortune from even the people closest to her? Poor soul, I pray Leah will overcome and she be restored, including her health as surely, she's been robbed so much and for a long time.
True dear. I had to look for words.
@@violetwaswa5340 🥺💔. She'll need a lot of love. God keep her strong and healthy in Jesus name🙏🏾🙏🏾
Clean Start. Congratulations and thank you very much Teresa Njoroge for the very good work you are doing. However, you need to do something about your staff/team. Last year in September, I wanted to uplift any lady who has done dressmaking/tailoring with a sewing machine, some materials and space to restart their life & pschosocial support. I called your Cyprine and she promised to call me back upto today have not heard from her. Unfortunately, that train left the station.
One request Lynn... please please can you make a follow up to Bungoma police station involve IPOA. It's easier to get these culprits atawatambua before wahamishwa kuenda kusambaza ukimwi elsewhere...and the police woman should be questioned. Our police will only change when our government will recruit other professionals yaani police iwe na customer care attendants who are not police...kuwe na councillors, Doctors, lawyers and human rights activists etc in police compound...then these crooks will treat people justly
There is no professionalism because jobs are given to people with connections. No wonder most of them don't recognise human rights abuses. Where is Hague when you need them?
Just wondering how many more 'Leahs' are out there !!! Hashtag Justice For Leah!
I pray that the family that put her there is watching!! I hope they can live with peace after learning what they subjected this woman to.
I hope they know the curse they put upon their family. They will suffer more than she is suffering. Someone involved in their nights outing was involved in the robbery.
Evil pipp know no peace.
@@xoxomacx2539 exactly, karma is coming their way
This is so sad
Pole sana Leah
Sure they are watching
Those officers will never know peace... shame on them
Wooh these is so painful may God give u hope en future
For sure police officers? No peace for such humanity
😭😭😭😭💔💔💔 When you think you going through Alot then you listen to someone else story you decide to tel God help this one first 🙏 I don't think I can forgive so easily the way she did💔 please God help her heal her wounds in Jesus name
And now am here thinking about the number of people that are getting infected daily in this police station, and the chain as they come out. It is sad, it is painful, it is shameful. Everytime i say or do something to someone i ask myself *How would i feel if the same was done to me*. Leah it is well, Mungu Yuko.
True
I'm just thinkin of the man that sexually assaulted her, going back to their spouses and spreading the virus to them.
Always pray to never get yourself in the hands of police officers, most are very cruel.
I'm always wondering why they are very wicked?I pity women who marry in that profession
Some are mad.
Not all are cruel but there people who are made evil
A question running in my head, "How many people did this police officers infect HIV in that cell ?" Yet it's their role to safeguard lives and properties. To Leah never be ashamed of taking drugs, You have more Years to live and see your children prosper. More strength mommy.
This is so heartbreaking 😭😭,where did humanity go,why are we living in an evil society😭😭,my heart is bleeding for this lady,Lynn may God keep you safe to be forever a voice to the voiceless, and a vessel to restore sanity in our societies
This has hit me hard😭😭😭, I was once accused of armed robbery by malicious co-workers in 2011, I was arrested and spent a whole Easter weekend in a police cell. Thank God my family and friends had my back. Who knows what would have become of me. Leah God is with you, He will never forsake you nor leave you
This story makes me so angry leaves my heart shattered to pieces. Her family, her boss, her sister, those useless officers, the female officers that let this happen will get exactly what they deserves!!
Leah, your tears will not go in vain, God is working on and for you!❤️❤️❤️
You need to identity the perpetrators and sue. That’s what the law is for I’m sure she knows the names of the people who did this to her. Lynn this clean start sounds promising. I’m sure she feels much better after speaking with you.
Yeah something should be done
Exactly
Thanks Lynn for bringing this piece. If am not wrong it's illegal for Police to hold someone captive more than 24 hours without taking them to court. Clearly her rights were violated. The lady needs a shark lawyer who will help her sue the police and the former employer plus claim all her damages.i know forgiveness and moving onl is advised but she might as well secure her kids future from the obvious win
Fatima Ali, Leah should be helped to sue the Poland her former boss
Ukweli kabisaaa
I'm still shocked at her spending 7 months in a cell. Terrible. They should be charged with rape, kidnap, human rights violations, etc. The list is long.
True ...not more than 24 hrs
So sad, its so wrong to defile someone's mother. This is what a family can do such a poor young mother
Those policemen should be charged. Why did they keep her in a cell for such a long time without taking her to court. This is against the law & constitution. IPOA should be informed immediately.
Exactly 💯😏😏
I REPEAT BLOOD IS NOT THICK ANY MORE!!!!After my mom’s death I had to cut off all my siblings due to the toxicity and demonic treatment they showed me.Wenye ndugu nawasalimu🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿.This thing made me to give birth to only 1 child because I don’t want my lovely girl go through sibling horror that I experienced.
Welcome to my world. I went through a very painful hysterectomy procedure. Lost marriage and no kids. I never saw anyone from my family. Had to ask a friend to receive me after theatre.. It's almost two years now and have never heard or seen anyone. I guess they can't stand to be associated with a barren woman. Saw I feel your pain and this lady's pain
Am not alone in this dark world of family hood. May God see us through
Blood is frankly pain. The only Blood I trust is the Blood of Jesus who came in the flesh. True though
I relate dia!...but am with a God who nvr cease to amaze me.
I thot I was alone in this ...
That boss is the genesis of her pain and suffering 💔....you are a Noble woman Leah...you never compromised ,you stood with your truth 💙 and your truth was that you never stole anything.even if you have suffered soo much because of standing with your truth, almighty God is delighted with your good conduct....only be patient, its okay to talk as long as you are telling the truth...dont force yourself to forgive and to love those who opressed you...take your time first.. think about your children and yourself right now and God will vindicate you.
There are wounds that never show on the body that are deeper and more hurtful than anything that bleeds.the wounds people are trying to heal it's only God who knows.
For sure I do agree with you
Sure
Lynn,we should have a topic on sisters and families from hell walahi,, 🤗🤗🤗 hugs mama.. its not the end of life,,stand firm, take your meds and trust God . It is well.. those police officers should be brought to book. This is inhumane, her former employer shall never have it well for causing this woman such trauma. Her tears will never go in vain

So sad. Detention without trial ended a long time ago. That was abuse of power on the side of OCS and his officers.

That's so sad where did humanity go, You mean blood is now not thicker than water? God have mercy, Leah you will stand again, Can IPOA take up this matter and let the OCS and his officers be put to trial this is so gross.

It's so heartbreaking to hear your story. And we thank God for giving you strength to hold up and keeping strong. I can only imagine how everyday feels for you. It's great that you're picking up however gradual it may be, it's happening. I pray that you never give up and continue with your HIV treatment. My mum got HIV over 30years ago and has been on treatment 20years this year and she has been able to even to see her great grandchildren all thanks to HIV treatment, you too can see your children grow up to become parents.
My wish is that this pain you feel everytime you're taking the medication can subsidized. I understand how it feels cause I saw my mum struggle with the medication on a daily basis. Hopefully the support group of people living with HIV in her area are functional and active to keep her encouraged to continue medication, that's the only way that pain will go with time.
