Them are some straight pigs from shortys I’m gonna try and make my way down there this year with my buddy we never been there but always see some hogs being caught out there
Do you guys only fish with one pole? Carp guy here and I've catfished in paylakes too. In Indy we always use multiple poles. Is this normal for catfishermen?
Hey I have 80lb suffix on my pole and I use 80lb suffix as a leader aswell, and I’ve noticed that it’s a lot more visible than mono, I used to use 30lb mono as a leader with 80lb suffix as mainline, but I found out I broke off on a lot more fish. Do y’all think I should use 80lbs braid for leader or switch to like 50lb or60lb mono
@@out_law_vinagre82 this can work yes but sometimes if you’re setting the hook on a big fish and you have a bad spot in 20 pound mono then it ain’t holdin. I wouldn’t personally recommend 20 pound main line but to each their own
Y’all in Ohio I just got into pay lake fishing and I know we’re luckys baileys and shortys is at a lot of my buddys love fishing baileys they have been catching tanks rn
dont do it most of these pay lakes juice the fish and it kills them by burning their gills. it makes them bite like crazy but they are starved to death and actively dying from the chemicals they put in the water. ive fished them my whole life but wont ever fish one that juices like these places.
Those are some big fish. Amazing to get those catches with so much competition there. Great job. 👍👍
Nice fish fellers
I live right by shortys
Seen a lot of Bottom Trolling
Paylakes have become a joke
do you have to keep them or catch and release
Nice pigs
which berrypro was that the 11 footer
Did you see Shannon Black around there anywhere? That’s one of his favorite paylakes too, I believe….?
Didn’t see him there that day
@@anglinas2909 - oh? Hmmm? He’s generally there, hope he’s alright
@@hensleyshobbies-doug7761 he’s good! I know him well just hasn’t been to shortys in a while
@@anglinas2909 - oh, good! I thought something may have happened, glad he’s alright!

Yea! We usually run two rods a person. Sometimes we will use one just depends on how packed it is

Definitely switch to a 50 or 60 lb mono leader for big fish bud!
Its all in the drag, run 17-20 pound main line and 80lbs braid leader. Run a loose drag and you'll hit pigs no problem

@@anglinas2909 will do. Hoping it works better than the 30lb mono leader, found I broke off a lot just on hook sets.
@@Braidenisawesome trust me! There’s a difference!
Where do you get your bobbers ?
Im going there on Saturday what's the best bait and depth
