I disagree, MANPAD kit should an alternative to the LAT kit actually. You need the amount of MANPAD to be dense enough so that choppers can't just simply avoid a single area and do their stuff with free reign.@@Freshline_
Anything with a coax is a threat to the Loach, the 1 shot engine is a death sentence even more so on a map like Narva with so many small ponds and buildings.

I hope they update the flight model ingame. It would be so fun to fly helis in squad but I cannot for the life of me get the momentum figured out. it's so sluggish. I've got rs2, dcs, and battlefield helis figured out but I wreck so often in squad. it's like the heli can just make the decision to not respond to collective and spear the ground at 100mph at any given time
There are weird break points where you lose control instead of gradually, and yeah sometimes momentum just takes it. I'm a decent pilot in war thunder, used to crush servers in battlefield, arma, flown thousands of hours in PR and I just don't get how squad works. it's not fun to me.
I've heard that Jensen's Range does not have the same vehicle damage properties as the other layers. That could explain why your copilot thought they nerfed the rockets.
Jensens isn't the problem it is offline/local servers. If you play in an actual server (from the server list) them damage properties will be right but if you click on training from the menu damage values will NOT be right
Sure it is powerfull, but any ifv crew with an autocannon will have a field day killing a loach. Its super fragile and hit in the side once or twice and the pilot is dead or the engine is rendered useless. You dont even have to hit him directly any near miss with a autocannon burst will force any pilot to evade and run away. I do agree that on maps like narva cas is much more powerfull then other maps due to all the buildings and short sightlines, but on any other map I ussually see cas perform poorly if they face any sort of IFV that decides to look up instead of just ahead. The fact only one specialisation of the PMC gets the loach I think they are alright, I just think that they need to give infantry MANPADS so that they protect their own supply trucks and supply lines, that is my only gripe with the cas heli, they can easily intercept any and all logis in the opening stage of the game and throughout the game without being punished cause IFV's are almost always slower then the logi's As for the rocket, they need to be accurate otherwise they would be quite usseles only having 6 he and 6 smokes, and at the distance he is firing them in the video such accuracy is warranted for the risk he takes.
@@Rob-zz7bq I think they should make cockpit Hud with balistic PC for rocket (and give it 7 and 7 hydras ) so you need to mind direction your going. And maybe some LMG/HMG on logi roof (i think some faction got one or it was global escalation?)
@@__Nomad Yea, but they cant make logis to powerfull, I'd understand if they did it for irregular factions like Irregular militia or insurgents where they mount a bunch of machineguns to the roofs of everythjing but for conventional factions I feel like there should just be mobile AA options like Avengers, Pivads or something else and MANPADS that the infantry can use when dismounted. I think mounting HMG's to logis on conventional factions would make them a bit imbalanced. The only reason I condone it for stuff like the PLA transport is cause it is a lightly armored transport that cant also make habs. If anything the loach should be a tool to force the enemy to stick close to their AA/IFV's in the start, the CAS version of the loach only being on the light infantry means that they can only really relly on their mobility and speed to get an edge. If the loach can force enemy logis to slow down to be safe otherwis they take a risk and can get punished. I think in that sense it would be fair. But having MANPADS and other dedicated AA would mean that you can secure your supply routes.

The loach CAS is SUUUPER hard to use if you are not fighting stormtroopers
In the loach, it is great to have a copilot for if you get shot out, the copilot can still fly it back to main.

I use mouse and keyboard to fly and I don't think HOTAS is supported for squad, I could be wrong though.
Hotas is mostly dual device which is not supported but if you have a single joystick it should work. Mouse and keyboard is pretty good though
