Riki at 03:52 was a high school student (about 10 years before) and I saw the show at that time. The host didn’t stop asking him like “Are you really Japanese?” because his sister was speaking Japanese fluently as a native speaker. I still remember that the host nagged about his way to speak and that I felt uncomfortable about it. Anyway, he has been always that way.
I feel like that too, it makes me uncomfortable. for many people who watch it may be a funny entertainment to laugh at. but not for rikimaru, it must be an emotional stress in itself, especially at such an early age. although it's entertaining but I'm worried about rikimaru's psychology, not being able to speak your mother's language is not something to be laughed at. I'm afraid he's going to get even more insecure :(
I just wanted to say that we should consider that the cause could be something sensitive to him and that settling wrong assumption among fans could make him hurt.
