CURBSIDE 1989 Toyota Motorhome Restoration - 21 DAYS Timelapse

  • Complete Restoration of my old RV Motorhome. Many projects on this one such as overhead cab bed and adding gas struts, new walls, tearing out rotted wood and replacing, caulking the thing from top to bottom, sealing windows, tinting windows, going over my caulk with eternal bond to make sure the thing never leaks again! Shower/tub surround, new faucet and shower head, painting all the walls and cabinet bases, trim, changing out roof vents and lots more. I spent a total of 21 LONG days during the RV remodel and it was a ton of work all done from the curb in front of my house. I chose a Toyota motorhome because they are good on gas and I have had good experience with the yotas running a really long time. Plus the frame is super solid on this one with no rust so I can always tear down and rebuild a custom motor home in another 10 years! Or maybe turn it into a flatbed with a shed! HA

    This is one of the best RV renovation videos I’ve seen on UA-cam! Fun music, excellent editing and of course a very cool RV! I’d buy this rig in a heartbeat if it was for sale!

      @@JRESHOW Absolutely!, Yes. Excellent subject (researching vehicle i'm going to get & convert or repair, for fulltime or parttime living), the time lapse was extremely cool, the music? mostly I can't stand modern music, but the stuff you had as background music was incredible, loved the vibe of it, upbeat, just cool, and even the stuff sounding like it came from an African village.. just absolutely awesome.. the music added SO MUCH to your video.. I just have to say.. REALLY well done... only thing.. lol.. I'd like to know.. the gas mileage you get.. and whether or not this V6 is giving you the typical Toyota reliability... (Ive currently got a Pontiac Vibe with the Toyota 2.4L 2az-fe in it.. well known oil burner, but despite that, so long as I keep monitoring it & topping it off as needed, this, my first Toyota (basically a Matrix in a Pontiac skin).. had been everything Toyota's are claimed to be.. very reliable..

    Awesome. I've been sitting on a 1992 Toyota/Winnebago Warrior mid-renovation for several years. Seeing somebody actually finish is inspiring. Bonus points for Iowa plates.

    What a beautiful job and I see that it is not necessary to have to take everything out of the RV and throw it away. I see that a lot of what is already there can be done and that is very good, what I did is truly an inspiration.❤❤ There are many people who just take everything out, throw it away and put everything in new and I don't understand why if almost everything can be reused.

I hope your fam has many many wondrous adventures in it. B careful to pad the shower pan if you put cargo in there. They tend to be brittle and crack in the corners if u load them up and it's a pain to fix.

    Hi there! I got a steal of a deal on a 1989 Dolphin with plans to renovate (I have only the slightest idea what I’m doin but I’m handy, so here we are). Your video has been by far the most helpful, inspiring, and totally well edited - a good thing too since it hasn’t gotten old on repeat 😅 anywho I’m like a week into this solo remodel and I’m finding I have some specific questions I haven’t been able to find answers to. I’m wondering if you’d be willing to have an email exchange about some of them, perhaps get some of your fav resources you used for your remodel? Either way, nice video and remodel!! 🙌🏼

    You didn’t list what was used for the shower walls. Also you didn’t explain how you installed the new wood for the cab bed. You said reframe but what’s holding the new wood together what’s it attached to? Is there another video explaining this?

    • @JRESHOW
      @JRESHOW  2 роки тому +2

      I used something called Pollywall from Home Depot for the shower wall, 25 bucks for 4x8. www.homedepot.com/p/PLAS-TEX-1-16-in-x-48-in-x-96-in-White-Polywall-Plastic-Panel-10048615/311314398
      For the overcab I screwed the framing together and also used liquid nails with metal plates. I wasn’t intending to get too technical in explaining quite everything, more showing the process, but i can do my best to help answer any questions

    • @JRESHOW
