Police pursue a carjacking suspect through South LA, Inglewood, Westchester, Playa Del Rey, near LAX, through Manhattan Beach and Hermosa Beach before cornering him. An armed,hour-long standoff then takes place before the suspect surrenders. Watch as the suspect drives the WRONG WAY on the road, and even drives in reverse at one point.
clearly, the best solution to a low-speed car chase is to send out all available units.

Regional issues have affected police response, as well as feds coming in to tell them what they can and cannot do. And lots of people try to take advantage of that.
Get rid of the 2 commentators and the box, at one stage they're too busy on their phones to even notice a spike strip deployment which was also partially blocked by their overlay box.

At the speed he was going, and judjing by the 15 police vehile there at the end, they could have placed a spike on each of the exit roads, they would have stopped that chase within 20 minutes.

Neglecting to stop this idiot is just as dangerous as engaging to stop it. So many people walking around that could be run over by this suspect and now the public is making this a an opportunity to get on camera. Plenty of opportunities to pit. I think LA enjoys the pursuits. In the southern US this would have ended long ago.

Ive always heard it called a Calif stop in my 74 years in Southern and Northern Calif. Even had a cop call my less than "stop" at a stop sign as he was ticketing me for it. 😅😂😂
