Pilot episode was the best version of the opening. The terrified people and ominous red sky; made it even more hilarious when you think about how the ghost (Mooglie) walking around all innocent and care free in seemingly catastrophic times.

I love Mooglie but letting the reboot Ghostbusters defeating him, that’s crossing the line. I hope they’re happy! They killed the ONE SYMBOL of Ghostbusting!

Most of the earlier Real Ghostbusters stuff was animated by various crews working under the auspices of KKC&D Asia, which I believe Jean Chalopin founded directly to handle outsourcing work for DIC. (A very sore subject, as outsourcing was just starting to become the norm and was costing a lot of American animators their jobs). Whoever crew handled the original intro and those bumpers was better, I think, than whoever did the Season 4-7 intro. The draftsmanship is just better. But I think it was all still various Japanese crews. (They switched to cheaper Korean studios in season 6 --- the quality drop was pretty noticeable.)
Even without having seen Ghostbusters 2016 since its release, the Mooglie transformation is still one of the film's highlights. I am not a huge fan of Ghostbusters, but that was still a really enjoyable moment.
The random black guy is Winston actually lol. Mooglie is voiced by Arsenal Hall in that clip, who also voiced Winston in the show. So basically he went from Slimer ro Winston.
Mooglie as a villain is actually kinda scary if he was their prisoner forced to be their logo for so many years and the reboot of the ghostbusters kinda shows that him getting out of the circle, free and ready to fight back for being imprisoned

The ps2 ghostbusters game had you press a trigger to shoot the beam and i had to hold it for so long it hurt my finger. I still have my ps2, kinda feel like i should go back to that game now...
