To win the Champions League you first have to play the EPL games to secure at least 4th position, then play the best of all the other leagues in the group stages of the Champions League tournament before playing the best of the best at the knockout stages.

Kinda arbitrary tbh, and that’s because like you said, teams have to place 4th or above in the EPL to play the CL, they’re intertwined to both tournaments unfortunately and these comparisons serves no purpose.
Champions League - Difficulty increases as you go up the rounds
EPL - Difficulty increases as game-week progresses, fatigue, injuries. Difficulty may increase if your team is fighting for top spots towards the last 10 games or a low/mid table teams faces a top EPL contender.

English teams are really disadvantaged to win the UCL because the Premier League is the toughest and most exhaustive football league in the world. Unlike the Spanish and other leagues that are “forever” dominated by the “same” 2 teams or 3 at maximum, the chance for an English team to win the premier league is really slim! An English team playing in the UCL has to exhaustively compete against other ferocious local teams in 3 different local competitions while facing European teams in the UCL. Imagine what miracle Man UTD did in 1999 and Man City in 2023 to win the Treble. You just can’t compare the exhaustive achievements of English teams winning the UCL with those easy ones won by other advantaged European clubs like Real Madrid, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, and others.

Once you get out of the group stages, anything can happen in two legs that happen consecutive weeks once every month. The League rewards consistency. You can lose sometimes and make up for it. As long as you win the majority of games then it's not a problem. In the CL one loss can get you out of the tournament. Not just a loss, you even have to be careful about how many goals you concede. Having a stable defense is very important. Once the group stage ends you will progressively see less goals as teams get more and more careful. Uli Hoeneß said it nicely: "the league title is the most honest. In the CL you can be the best team yet still not win because of one bad game or unlucky day". I'm not a player so I can't say for sure. But I think the majority of players, managers etc. would agree with Hoeneß's statement.

As for Henry, he won UCL, but never with Arsenal. He had a drought of UCL in his time with his no-UCL favorite team, but managed to win EPL.
