You sure can catch both Snapper and Calamari closer to Newhaven, in this case we had a south east wind blowing so we found shelter at Ventnor for the squid and as for the Snapper, each year the fish enter the bay and head up into the top end of WP, I believe it’s due to the water being that bit warmer, yes we have caught Snapper much further down the port at this time of year but it is much more consistent up the top, cheers 🤙
Great start to the season can only get better from here boys. Hope to see you get a few monsters I think this seasons going to be one of the hot ones for big fish

@@landarippafishing definitely shaping up to be. They are coming in thicker then normal but time will tell few more weeks they should be biting better
That’s true mate, and there is quite a few of those 1-3kg size fish around too which is a little odd for this time of year
@@landarippafishing might already have moved past the the usual first stops and moved around the bay. Might be worth looking in the north arm now
