First of all Naruto was being dense he was in love with Sakura but when Naruto was on a rampage it showed proof of Naruto loving Hinata because she almost died for him don't you see Naruto might have a crush on Hinata. Like after the war because in the manga it showed Naruto and Hinata hanging out together that's the sign of a close bond becoming one into romantic relationship and then the Naruto movie the Last came by and there have his love confession because if it wasn't for Hinata, everybody in the village would have lost the 4th great shinobi war and the kissing scene from the Naruto movie the Last Have a great day. 🎉🎉
He had very little to no idea of what love was. He thought that it was only a temporary thing, like eating a bowl of his favorite ramen. He had no friends for a very long time. He was dense but he was not at fault since he had no example of a positive relationship to follow for the longest time.
