One of my favourite plays is ending on seemingly nothing, e-teleporting into Sharakusai and then using Gizmek Orochi all during the opponents turn using Sharakusai effect and flopping an Amazing dragon on the board bouncing everything back to hand. Feels satisfying.

Anyone who had been playing it since Diameter dropped. Circular reads like a custom card that everyone would critique as "too much" called Mathmech God Mathmech with a picture of Goku on it.
@@geek593 Tbf mathmech did nothing in ocg when circular dropped outside of a few niche tops. But tbf everyone also thought TCG POTE format was going to be a 2 deck format as well. Thankfully that is not the case

We also actually make an attempt to play meta counters in our staple slots unlike the OCG which sticks to the usual Maxx C package and just rolls with whatever deck is mathematically the most consistent for tournaments

Game 3 the spright player should’ve just gone for a zeus play. Just normal swap, special jet, sky cavalry, downered, and Zeus the board (don’t get a card in grave for cheng). That way you at least have a negate when your opponent would only have 2-3 cards in hand left and a gizmek. Of course there was ash and would be gamma, but still better than straight up losing
Adventure Punk is still criminally underrated for this format. I went 5-0 at locals this week beating 2 spright 2 teralelemnts 1 floo. You just have to play around dark ruler by scythe in standby with baronne.
for the game 3 when the ash the halq just know that using chaos ruler and ze-amin to go into the lv10 synchro let you actually chain block the halq using ze-amin effect in grave to boost the rising carp atk by 600. this let you have a way better line of play for calamity actually will having a punk left on board to target a face up card w/ surprise (or go into another synchro 10 if you have the lv 2 tuner as extender)
It is a terrifying coincidence that tomorrow, I'm going to the ATL concert in Portland, but I wanted to get a headstart on the Duelist Cup that started today. Looking to build a new deck, I looked at the cards I pulled from the most recent round of new secret packs, saw that I had most of the PUNK core, went to youtube to find a video on the deck, arrived here, and saw this. It all comes full circle I suppose.
Man I love playing Tear but I also thing Cheng is so cool. I love how he triggers, I love his specific removal, everything about the card is such a house

Love this deck, also love that it has a surprising amount of versatility in the extra deck and feels like if teledad was made in the modern era with DAD in this case being chaos ruler. It's just downright fun. Will say though I have no idea why the opponent didn't ash the karp. Like that's a big reason why you play gamma, since it tributes and clears the field but it's really the best thing to hit, I feel like you have to put people on "better have it". Didn't think of playing abyss or calamity though, interesting
also, to address one of your gripes with the deck- there are lines that play without Amin depending on your opening hand. you can often lead Wa Gon when opening Ogre Dance with another name.
Every time your Wife makes a Cameo I always think "How the Hell did Joseph manage to get a Stunner like her?" Then I look at my wife and realise yeah I'm punchin' above my weight too.
Agreed on the chaos ruler possibly getting axed this ban list. Card is really free advantage for little cost. Obviously RNG can get you but thats the game in general. But at the same time they need to ban Toad and Winda to bring all of these meta decks into check just enough to make the format really fucking fun
@@CripinIo its gotta be either toad or sprights ability to make and abuse it (aka swap or ronin). Omve spright is old enough to have either elf or gigantic hit it can return but they cant be around together and they cant hit the spright engine just yet....
Chaos Ruler by all means is not a broken card. Usually i am for axing the payoff instead of the enabler but in this case i genuinly think they should just Limit E tele and/or Ze Amin as even without Chaos ruler those would still be extremely strong
actually baning Chaos ruler would just get rid of the king calamity line for punk they can play without it like no problem th new punk synchro 8 is just insane (even more in this format this is can add ghost ogre from deck to hand)
Mbt im not going to lie, you are Absolutely correct. I still believe we do have the makings of a tier 0 format decks like plant link, punk, and floow can 100% take games and matches off of the big boys especially when they win the die roll but they definitely will just fall off over the course of a long tournament. Mathmech is the only one I feel actually has the staying power mainly because it has the otk potential that tear and splight really lack as well as a nice turn 1 even under a dark ruler
There's no way this is a tier 0 format when there are at least 2 good decks. Sure either would have been tier zero in the past, but since they came out at the same time, they're stepping on each other's dreams of tier zero.

Now we have 2 top decks, and like 5 under the surface (swoso, plant, punk, exo, and obviously mathmech.) This is a high powered format, but it's miles away from tier zero.

they do come up pretty often. Summoned them a lot during the European Championship. You usually go different routes depending on the matchup what MBT did not do.
The meta has been this way since the extra deck became a thing players actually used. Stardust Cataster, etc we’re played in every synchro deck. Castel and ark on every rank four. Forcing decks to rely on in archetype extra deck deck monsters has never been a thing. Which is good

Stardust, Catastor and such we're use as common support and there where a lot of ways to get rid of them without much issue. Omninegates were not a thing (ar at least extremely rare).
@@RoyFokker93 well yes old school Yu gi oh was break my board style with the only way to interact with your opponents being traps and the occasional quick play. But my point is that stardust and Cataster filled the same role as Baron and savage do for the modern game.
