Something I realize is that the combination of Bekka and Specimen 6 was not so good beacuse they are more like support enemies, that if you go against another enemy they become more dangerous.
specimen 6 + bekka is easy to deal with, just axe spec 6 once you enter each room and move on. its only when other specimens decide to join in that it becomes a problem, though Lisa + Bekka is far more of a threat in that case since axing Lisa doesn't do anything.
Each specimen is always alone when first encountered. RNG has to pick the same specimen in time out of all specimens currently in the chase pool before the original goes away to have 2 (or more) of the same specimen chasing you at once, so yes it is possible and in fact guaranteed that you can get chased by only one. It's actually more uncommon to encounter copies this late in Endless mode since nearly everything is in the chase pool.

9 cannot chase you and 1 is the jumpscare cutouts which are always present and don't really count as a specimen that chases you.
