My husband was waking up when I was just coming in, pretty much. Fortunately, he waited for me, pretty calmly, three kids later and nearly three decades. When they said No to my daughter getting married at 20 years old, my husband said "It is a cult" We were ALL COMPLETELY AWAKE & OUT a couple years after that. My daughter and I tried to hold on to NO AVAIL!!!!! My daughter indirectly SAVE OUR FAMILY AND I THANK HER IN MY HEART AND MIND WITH EVERY BRRATH I TAKE! Never, in a Million Years did I think that I could be Brain Washed by Anyone or Anything - But there you have it. FIRST HAND! And it wasn't easy after over three decades, however now WE ARE ALL FREE. FREE TO THINK, FEEL & BE WHO AND WHAT WE CHOSE WITH NO JUDGEMENT FOR THE REST OF OUR LIVES. I wondered why I always thought I felt so INADEQUATE by them, thinking that I must have deserved it because of things I had done that were NOT GOOD. Thank You for being so candid and courageous. All the Best To You and please know that YOU ARE WORTHY AND YOU ARE LOVED. ❤

I’ve reinvented my life…I would not let him or them subject me to their standards! Couldn’t see myself living like that for the next 20-30 good years left! Well, this is so encouraging!! I too woke up, actually, very early on in my marriage but ended up having 2 children after having been married 5 years in. The religion truly tears down marriage AND families! I served my husband divorce papers after 21 years of marriage with all of his gallavanting, inappropriate behaviors with women he's not married to and willful deceitfulness...ALL WHILE BEING AN ELDER. But, I let him talk me out of divorcing him. Worst mistake EVER! Now, at 33 years and STILL IN NEED OF A DIVORCE! After seeing your comment... I'M AWAKENED AGAIN...THANK YOU!!

I listen to videos like this and while I know how lucky I was to have a mate who has never really been IN the religion any more than I was (We divorced and just drifted away from the organization) hearing stories like this breaks my heart, especially knowing that this "religion" that promises to make a marriage stronger, is actually the reason the marriage is failing now.

I was in this scenario. I married a woman who became a Jws right after we married. It’s wasn’t an easy road. So many obstacles with Jws. They won’t budge or compromise to appease their spouse. I stayed married for 20 years thinking she will see the errors of the WT. In the meantime I would attend church services alone and also go with her to the meetings, conventions and Assemblies. No matter how or what I showed her by my actions it was nothing to her. I did for her what she wouldn’t do for me. It was so unfair and at times miserable. I would be alone when she would go door to door. I was the outcast if you know Jws won’t associate with a “non jw”
Even after all those years of trying to witness to her the blinders never fell off. She had an affair with someone in her KH, she left his wife and she left me. They married soon after and are still married this day. Of course I moved on and remarried to someone who shares my faith. I’m happy for once. But still in the back of my mind I had hoped I be there if she ever would leave the jws. It was truly an strange experience being married to her. It’s like I said so unfair I felt I didn’t matter to her. Her religion was more important than I was.
If you’re dating a Jws run it’s not worth the hassle and problems associated with them.

Thank you for talking about this sensitive subject. This is the second one you have made that has directly broached something I was wrestling with. The first was overcoming fear of Armageddon (I was terrified still).
Now this, I left my marriage of 24 years, I stayed because I thought it unthinkable to ‘displease Jehovah’. I am newly living alone, just over a month now. It felt strange at first, but Im living now without fear, finally free in thought, in spirit, at peace.
It is difficult at first, but it gets easier, better as we become stronger, as we trust our own mind, intuition becoming our authentic selves. I do believe this is the gift we were given, free will and to follow the love woven into the very fabric of our beings.
Living the law of love written in OUR heart ♥️

Also, a great way for people to get to know how bad this organization is. People are eager to listen to our stories cause they don’t get to meet an exJW everyday and they usually think that JWs are just people who just love Christ and knocking on doors.

I “ woke up” about a month after my divorce, but I know for a fact that my marriage wouldn’t have lasted if I woke up prior. Now I’m (POMO)coparenting with someone (POMI)who views me as an enemy of god and a constant threat to our children’s mental and emotional health. Even though I am no longer married to this man, I am still receiving the same treatment I would have if we were still married. Except instead of using the elders to “ put me in my place” he now uses the court system. (Unsuccessfully of course). Still, I’m very grateful for my mental freedom. Life is good and I wouldn’t have it any other way. Awesome video Matt! Everything you said was 100% accurate and relatable.

I woke up while dating a Jehovah witness. I got into the religion late in life . I had gone through a rough separation , I struggled for years as a single mom, luckily I had a good job as I had been educated and am an engineer.
Anyway, the man I dated was a good guy ! I truly believe that we would have been a good and happy couple even if we didn’t have the religion. I also knew he had cognitive dissonants and doubts about the religion. But the moment I truly expressed how I felt about the religion and that I no longer believed in it , he turned on me completely. He shut down and walked away. In a way I thank him today! What a mistake I would have made. It goes to show who they really are! I am in my mid 40 still searching for my life partner and sometimes I prefer just giving up hope. It’s hard to date these days! What’s even more sad is that he is miserable and has been alone most of his life , not had children and spent a good part of his life in bethel before getting the boot out of there when they let go of bethlelites. He is now 60 and has a very lonely boring life , just working, barely getting by and giving the rest of his time to this organization .

Very painful video. But, VERY NECESSARY AND INFORMATIVE. I woke up because my husband who was an Elder for many years had a voracious appetite for women he wasn't married to. As was MANY of the Elders and MS in this cult. The flirting, inappropriate conduct, etc was NOT that of an "only TRUE RELIGION". I just wasn't falling for the BS. If this is the spiritual lead....whoreish behavior...I can do without.
Also, as a woman, you won't be believed when you present the egregious behaviors you've dealt with. Especially, from other wives, sisters in the cult. My marriage has been destroyed. I don't trust my husband as far as I can spit! And, I don't spit! A sister told me, "Well, our husband's may be flirts but according to the Bible we still need to respect them and their positions". I told her that my Bible...the same one you read says NOTHING like that. I was pissed at her. But, it shows the COGNITIVE DISSONANCE of women. Even to their own detriment.

This is the first time I ever give away any kind of information about my life as an Jehovas Witness because my situation was 'different ' from the general who leave the organization and I was in a very unsafe situation, or how to say. I decided to never speak about it ;my silence,to make sure they leave me alone!
I leave the organization about 25 years ago. My father was an Elder and a pedophile and abuser to many...,my mother was a pioneer like all in my family and I come from a generation of deeply involved Witnesses.
I was baptized very young and deeply dedicated, send to bible school training as pioneer as young and active in every possibly event's ...and seemed as 'very spiritual' according to the elders; I was on my way to be married with a man and start my life with missionary work in a different country then Scandinavian...
Also he totally dedicated to the organization.
    In same time...
nobody knew that I had start to process to wake up,see things as they are, observing, study facts ,compare...
I had information/books/texts that only Elders have,or if one was one of the 144 000... but...in my heart and mind I started to questioning EVERYTHING I did see, experience and known was deceptions and lies, hiding of serious facts specific when it came to how the organization protected my fathers behavior within the organization to other younger teenagers.
But mostly I questioning historical facts. Such as 1914,1919 and the whole concept of 144 000 many many other things within the belivesystem.
I knew that if I wanted to really leave the organization because of how deeply involved I was as an 'god very spiritual example ' ...,
I had to do my resarch, prepare my self psychological and mentally for some years, not talk about my thoughts with anyone within the organization nor the family nor my fiancee, nor my best friends.
I didn't say a word, just one day ghosted them all and move away 165miles with no word.
Noone understood anything because none had seen it coming.
My friends, family's and my fiancee which I just leave 3 weeks before planned marriage and 4 months before starting the missionary project as pioneers;within the Scandinavian version of watchtower.
It was a shock for them all.
I never have speak with anyone of them since.
I did write a letter some months after I had move far away ; to the elders ,and with no further explanation more then I didn't consider my self as an Jehovas Witnesses.
I never really have looking back ,nor following anything ongoing within Jehovas Witnesses during all this years but still after all this year they do still 'following me up' telling me that Jehova still waiting for me to return, but I never reply.
Your video did come as a recommendation to my UA-cam channel otherwise I wouldn't have look at all since I don't want to dwell in my past. I just want to forget!
However I react upon your channel titel 'The Falling Tower' like a call to write this.
I truly hope it will come a time where this organization will be fully EXPOSED for the public eye.

@@shainamadai Well my friend🌻Maybe I am experiencing and see the world differently and not precive the world in the duality where darkness is equal with 'evil ' and Light is equal with 'good guys'.
You see there is ' angels of lights filled with shit' as well as there is humans which hide behind a mask of love, light and empathy but in reality these humans haven't open their own closet of shadow's, darkness and shit. There is other which actually dare to see all aspects in the soul within the self and take responsibility for it.
If every human being took responsibility for their own negativity, fear, shadows and darkness instead of blaming everyone around them...this world would be a better place.
Maybe you precive me as 'devilish' because you still feel fear for everything that within Jehovas Witnesses is considered as 'evil' as they have teaching in the cult. I guess you base your opinion on my public music list.
It don't bother me. It is the normal reaction from someone who just left the cult or thinking of do so. Everything is still black and white and will be so until one dare to think outside 'the box' they have put you in.
I wish you the best and to find freedom from the Jehovas Witnesses mindset and not fear.

They would remind the person that the world is passing away and so is it’s desire, but they’ve been saying that for ,is it 109 years now ? Or if you’re there and there’s hope, then it could get better and it’s worth holding on. I’ve been there and it’s a miserable spot to be in for sure. Almost daily I get hit with how different my life is now (in a better way) but there will always be some sadness that that relationship and part of your life is over and ended so abruptly despite your best efforts. Do what’s best for you and life your life in a way that you’ll be proud of when you’ve reached the end, can look back on your life, and have no regrets about wasting it.

This hit me hard too because I’m out now, for 17 years, and now I’ve been abandoned by my SECOND husband. The love of my life, after leaving the cult. He joined the military, and then I lost him to PTSD and alcohol. But I’m stuck now because now I’m older. I have three kids now, with him. And NO EDUCATION. I’m not dumb. I speak languages, and I’m probably more educated than most, but I have no letters after my name, and I’ve been a good submissive wife all these years (again!), so it’s been almost two decades since I even have any work experience.
I’m stuck again. Not sure how to move forward safely, making sure we can eat and keep a roof over our heads…
And a huge chunk of that “stuck”-ness comes from being raised in the cult, without college.

I came to realize I had been misled about a lot of things and never knew how many logical fallacies I was relying on to maintain my faith in an interventionist deity. I found that there are much more compelling arguments for non belief than belief in a god that interacts with the world. In the end I’m just much more comfortable now saying “I don’t know” but open to finding out more as new evidence presents itself.

Beware of those that claim to have all the answers but don’t want you to look beyond their preferred authority this is classic information control. The big questions will always be up for debate and it’s good to remember there are genuine truth seekers that will change their position if they find themselves to be wrong and there are sophists who will seek to defend their position whatever the cost for various reasons. Never stop asking questions or ignoring those feelings of doubt.

JW's teach there is no hell but the following proves differently.
Jesus Himself Speaks About Hell And How Not To Go There:
In Luke 16:19-31 Jesus describes a rich man that lived lavishly and a poor beggar man named Lazarus. It came to pass that Lazarus died and was carried by the angels into Abraham’s bosom. The rich man died, was buried, then went to hell. 23 And in hell he lifted up his eyes, being in TORMENT, saw Abraham afar off and Lazarus in his bosom. 24 And he cried and said, Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue, for I am tormented IN THIS FLAME. 25 But Abraham said, Son, remember that you in your lifetime received good things, and likewise Lazarus received evil things, but now he is comforted and you are tormented. 26 And besides all this, between us and you there is a great gulf fixed, so that they which would pass from hence to you can not, neither can they pass to us, and would come from thence. 27 Then he said, I pray you therefore father, that you would send him to my father’s house. 28 For I have 5 brothers that he may testify unto them, lest also come into this place of torment. 29 Abraham said unto him, They have Moses and the prophets, let them hear them. 30 And he said, Nay father Abraham, but if one went unto them from the dead, they will repent. 31 And he said unto him, If they hear not Moses and the prophets, neither will they be persuaded, though one rose from the dead.”
LOCATION OF HELL: Jesus said in Matthew 12:40, ”For as Jonas was three days and three nights in the whale’s belly, so shall the Son of man be three days and three nights in the HEART OF THE EARTH.” Paul said in Ephesians 4:9, ”Now that he ascended, was it but that he also DESCENDED into the LOWER PARTS OF THE EARTH.”
HELL IS A PLACE OF FIRE: Jesus said in Luke 16:24,”….Father Abraham have mercy on me, and send Lazarus, that he may dip the tip of his finger in water, and cool my tongue for I am TORMENTED IN THIS FLAME.”
Jesus said in Matthew 13:42,”And shall cast them into a FURNACE OF FIRE, there shall be WAILING AND GNASHING OF TEETH.” Jesus said in Matthew 25:41,”Then shall he also say to them on the left hand, Depart from me, you cursed, INTO EVERLASTING FIRE, prepared for the devil and his angels.”
Jesus said in Revelation 20:15,”And whosoever was not found written in the book of life, was CAST INTO THE LAKE OF FIRE.”
HELL IS A PLACE OF TORMENT: Jesus said in Luke 16:23,”And in hell he lift up his eyes, being in TORMENT….” 24 …..for I am TORMENTED in this flame.” Jesus said in Revelation 14:11,”And the smoke of their TORMENT ascended up FOR EVER AND EVER, and they have no rest day or night….” Jesus said in Mark 9:45-46,”And if thy hand offend thee, cut it off, it is better for you to enter into life maimed, than having two hands to go into hell, into the FIRE THAT NEVER SHALL BE QUENCHED. 46 Where their WORM DIES NOT, and the fire is not quenched.” Note that it doesn’t say “THE Worm”, it says “THEIR WORM” dies not. Jesus said in Revelation 21:8,”But the fearful and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whore mongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burns WITH FIRE AND BRIMSTONE, which is the second death.” Note that Brimstone is Sulfur and burns with a very strong odor of rotten eggs.
The scriptures above prove when a person goes to hell they will constantly see hell, constantly smell hell, constantly feel the heat of hell, will constantly breath hell, will constantly hear the wailing and gnashing of teeth of others in hell, will constantly be aware of their own worms, they will have no rest day or night, there is no way out and it will continue for ever and ever, they can’t die because they are already dead.
The following is how to not go there and it is a SIMPLE AND EASY thing to do:
All of the book of Acts is what Jesus disciples said what we must to be SAVED - meaning not go to hell, which is repentance, water baptism in Jesus NAME, (Not the titles Father, Son, and Holy Ghost) and being baptized with the Holy Ghost. Jesus said in Mark 16:16,"He that believes and is BAPTIZED shall be SAVED, but he that believes not shall be damned."
At about that same time He said in Matthew 28:19,"Go therefore and teach all nations BAPTIZING them in the name (SINGULAR name and not name's) OF the Father, and OF the Son, and OF the Holy Ghost." Father, Son, and Holy Ghost are titles and not names. Jesus disciples never used those words when they baptized anyone in water, nor did they use those words in one sentence regarding any other topic. Every time they invoked Jesus NAME at baptism which is Acts 2:38, Acts 8:14-18, Acts 8:38, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, Acts 16:15, Acts 16:33, Acts 18:7, Acts 18:8, Acts 19:3-5, and Acts 22:16.
Jesus said in John 3:3-7,"Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man BE BORN AGAIN, he can not see the kingdom of God. 5 Verily, verily I say unto you, Except a man be born of water AND of the Spirit, he can not enter into the kingdom of heaven. 7 Marvel not that I say unto you, YOU MUST BE BORN AGAIN." Being born of water is being baptized in water which is for the REMISSION OF SINS - meaning the INITIAL remission of sins and not the confessing of sins later addressed in 1 John 1:9. Being born of the Spirit is being baptized with the Holy Ghost. What being baptized with the Holy Ghost means is addressed in Acts 2:3-4, (Pentecost), Acts 8:17, Acts 9:18, Acts 10:44-48, and Acts 19:3-5 - which is when the Spirit of Christ initially dwells in a person. Nowhere in Scripture does it say it happens any other way than that way. There is not one Scripture that says a person receives the Holy Ghost just because they are a believer. Acts 19:1-5 is a good example.
Paul said in Romans 8:9-11,”But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be that the spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, HE IS NONE OF HIS."
Numbers 23:19, ”God is not a man that he should lie, neither the son of man, that he should repent, has he said and shall he not do it? And shall he not make it good?”
Malachi 3:6,”For I am the Lord, I change not...”
Hebrews 13:8,”Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, and today, and forever.” That means there is no reason to think that Jesus will make an exception and save someone that has not been baptized in water in Jesus NAME, and has not been baptized with the Holy Ghost.
Some say the thief on the cross next to Jesus was not baptized yet Jesus told him he would be in paradise with him that day. Jesus had not given the COMMANDMENT to be baptized in HIS NAME until after he had risen from the dead and before he ascended into heaven. The thief on the cross could not have been baptized because he did not know about it.
if you do what Jesus said above in Mark 16:16, Matthew 28:19, and John 3:3-7, you will be making SURE your name is Written In Lamb's Book Of Life.
If you are convinced you need to get baptized in water in Jesus Name do a search and type in "United Pentecostal Church International", scroll down to just below the red box, type in your zip code, a screen will show a Church near you that will do that.
Jesus said John 10:27, ”My Sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they follow me.”

For me this was never an option 1 Cor 7 is clear ‘if the unbelieving depart, let him depart’ […] ‘let every man abide in the same calling wherein he was called’. It’s not an option to depart for a JW that becomes a Christian and if you have this attitude no matter how rough initially things do get better the choice is with the JW partner in this situation. I know this is a complex and painful subject but I offer this from my own experience and am glad that we stuck it out, what the future holds I leave with my Lord Jesus Christ and God the Father. ‘Or how knowest thou, O man, whether thou shalt save thy wife?’…

compare to other religion, JW teachings are really from the bible... its ok to study the bible with them,, one thing i dont agree with the JW is that they actually lost their hope in getting to heaven because of that ritual on their memorial of Christ Death , where they were told if the holy spirit didnt tell you to part take on the wine and bread eating then that means you dont belong to the 144k people written in the bible that will go to heaven. so they go around telling other people too that they dont have a place in heven and their hopes should be here on earth when it becomes paradise... i told them , i stick with my hopes both paradise and in heaven ... so im hoping i will be drinking that wine and Bread soon, if not...thats ok too, but i wont go around telling other people they dont have a place in heaven...

If you will drink wine you will never get everlasting life Jesus never drink wine but juice ..translated (wine) ...An evening of Pasha you shouldn't drink wine or anything other fermented .JW they do not know this. They drinking wine for own destruction also others do not drink grape juice and do not eat bread to own destruction too. "..if blind teachers they show the way to blind people ? " ..this org is nothing else than DISASTER.

The "New World Translation" is not a genuine translation from the original languages. Every time they came on a passage that showed that their teachings are wrong, they just changed what it says! Believe me, I know.
