MORE ABOUT ME
Life took an unexpected turn when I, Amber, lost my job during the pandemic. But instead of letting it define me, I took a leap of faith. I sold everything, packed my bags (and my dreams!), and hit the road in an RV, ready for full-time adventure.
Guided by an open mind and a yearning for a simpler life, I embarked on a journey across America. While the road held its share of challenges, it ultimately led me to the most incredible discovery: a breathtaking piece of land in Tennessee.
This wasn't just any land; it was a blank canvas, a place brimming with potential. And that's where Narrow Bottoms was born. With no prior experience, I'm determined to transform this land into a thriving ranch, a self-sustaining haven nurtured by my own hands.
My vision is to raise animals, cultivate a flourishing garden, and live a life deeply connected to the land. It's a challenging yet thrilling adventure, and I'm inviting you to join me every step of the way. So, buckle up, grab your metaphorical shovel, and get ready to witness the creation of Narrow Bottoms, a dream ranch built from scratch, one lesson learned at a time.
I love these majestic animals. As a Native American they are special to all of us. And should be to everyone 😊
I really do love these guys. They should be respected by all !! ✌🏻♥️
I personally would rather see Bison roaming the land than cattle .
I personally would rather see bison roaming the country than cattle . A tradition long forgotten .🦬👋
Me too we have 4; different tribes in our family and to see and know that they have made the journey back across the Mississippi gives me hope and faith in my fellow man thank you so much for bringing them to Tennessee as a native American Indian and a navy special forces veteran I pray and love you for it and even though I am old now if you need help protecting the Heard reach out I will bring a army of like minded people
There were large herds as far east as N.Carolina, S.Carolina, and Florida back in the early 1700's.
I am 77 years old. When I was a young girl, maybe 9 or 10, my mother took me to some place in Eastern PA. There we visited a nice man with a big field on a gently rolling hill. The man had what he called the last living buffalo. It was beautiful and I was sad. We stayed quite a while, so the memory was preserved in my mind. Perhaps it was the last buffalo east of the Mississippi. I am thrilled to see the herds alive today.
It's not the 100 million bison that roamed these country before they were massacred by the first settlers but it is a start
@@EdA-qh7qr The bison were massacred by the US government in an effort to get rid of the Native Americans. And the cattle ranchers.
They were almost completely wiped out. He may have been at that time.
@@sf55514 The US government did that on purpose to wipe out the Native Americans.
@@EdA-qh7qr No, They were wiped out by the "Last settlers" Those that moved west of the Mississippi. More specifically those that took part in the slaughter after the railroads were built. The slaughter was encouraged to force the Native Americans on to reservations.
I am an Apache & Cherokee, mixed blood. Thank you for bringing the bison back home to Tennessee!
Congratulations on bringing the Bison to the Volunteer ST TENNESSEE
I know several people in the state of TN that have had Buffalo for yrs!
There’s been a small herd at Shelby Farms for since 1989.
I love seeing bison. A tribute to early America, and forever admired for their strength, beauty, and allowing them to roam free.🇺🇸
Thank you for preserving this herd.

In Oklahoma always seeing bison !!!
My grandfather was born in 1886. He told me that when he was young buffalo still migrated through northeastern Louisiana.
That's fascinating! Your grandfather's stories are a remarkable connection to a time when the American landscape was vastly different. It's hard to imagine bison roaming through northeastern Louisiana. Their migration patterns were truly epic. It's a testament to their resilience and abundance that they once roamed so far south. Glad I could bring them back! Thank you for sharing that incredible piece of history.
I CRIED With so Much EMOTION SEEING This Transpire!!! Just Beautiful😍😍😍

Congratulations on acquiring a fine herd. Amazing how easily they came off the trailer and then immediately did a perimeter check! Satisfied, they circled back around to look at you again. Very excited for you and your adventure into bison ranching. I'll be enjoying the ride.

I love these beautiful animals. I live in KY and about 10 years ago a local man raised buffalo. He basically raised buffalo for the meat. Eventually he had to close down his ranch for some unknown reason. So, whatever reason caused his downfall, I am happy that he didn't have to kill any more bison. I am very happy for you. Love to watch channels that feature bison.
Congrats on your new herd of bison!! They are truly beautiful animals. I wish you the best of luck. Thank you for preserving this fine animal.
So excited to see this here in TN!! What a good looking hear. I hope you do regular videos and keep us updated on your ranch! I promise i will be a loyal viewer and watch every minute of every video. Another Great family raising bison is Black Axe Ranch. They have a small herd with a lot of personality. 😂😂
You have a beautiful smile and ranch. I see Dusty Baker mentioned a number of times, he would be a good fellow to get acquainted with. I am sure you have studied and read up on all this before you jumped in this big. Be careful and I will be following you.
I think Bisons, Buffalo, and wolves are spiritual animals. Wild horses are, too.
Did you know wolves are the only animals that I know of that will feed their elderly parents
Also coyotes.
I think all animals are. They haven't sinned like mankind.
Best of luck in your new adventure 😊
Good luck!
I would think that they would really flourish down there
WOW, That was exciting. I just saw your channel on my feed this morning, and I love Bison too. Will be watching you raise these magnificent animals. Congrats and dreams do come true ! !
A long time ago bison lived in Tennessee but they were hunted out of existence here
Beautiful
Wow what a great day that must have been.
Love everything about them majestic beast.
Hard to believe that 250 years ago they roamed free down there, along with the elk, and deer, I can only imagine!! Good luck on your journey! Just as a general question, how much land is needed per animal, for grazing, and will you have to supplement their feed?
It's incredible to think about how the landscape has changed. It's a testament to the resilience of these animals that they've adapted so well. As for land requirements, it varies based on factors like climate, soil quality, and the specific breed. Generally, you'd need a considerable amount of acreage for grazing. Supplementing their diet is often necessary, especially during harsh weather or when forage quality declines. It's a complex balance between land management and animal care. Thank you for the encouraging words and your support!
This will be great for your grazing areas and grasslands!!
Congratulations on your first bunch of fluffy cows. My buddy had two cows and a huge bull for eleven years or so. I purchased a yearling bull from him, and learned a lot. One thing is that they can easily plow or jump a 5’ tall fence. Or plow through a wooden fence easily if it isn’t beefed up with bigger boards. Also if they get hungry they will find food and no fence will stop them. When they are in the rut, they get irritated quite easily, and his large bull gored my yearling . So I had Buffalo steaks several months earlier than planned. One more thing before I go. Is they are wild animals that cannot be tamed or trusted, so be aware when with them at all times. If the tail rises up they are pissed and may charge. Good luck and may God be with you.
Very exciting, I look forward to the updates.
Amazing!
Wow just found your channel congrats ❤ wishing you all the best …subbed can’t wait to see how this story unfolds in the future……
Good luck to you.😅😅😅😅😅
Wow, what beautiful animals, please keep us posted on their progress and the little ones when they arrive!!

Welcome to tennessee I’m in middle tn also I watch dusty baker all the time your bison are beautiful
Amber, you have chosen a difficult but rewarding lifestyle. Your determination and willpower will see you through. Please don't hesitate to utilize tips from those in the business. Someday you will be able to guide others but, until that day comes read, watch, listen, and learn from those who have gone before you. I look forward to following your adventure and expect to see you successful in your new life. Any kind of farming/ranching is hard and has sore muscles and hidden difficulties. Good luck and best wishes to you,
Thanks for sharing your life and your Buffalo, and I have to say though you already know it your beauty Thanks again 'Griz'
Im from the Wichita Mountian's , Cache, Oklahoma, and Buffalo are a way of life, since I could ride a horse a 3 years old, have probably seen and done it all, including breeding, and marketing, Every year I horse backed at the Buffalo roundup, for population control and gor a free calf for the freezer, for the hard work, GOOD KUCK AND BE CAREFUL!!!! dt

Beautiful!!!❤❤❤
Oh wow this video came across my feed, Awesome bisons in TN!!!! I used to live in North Dakota and I saw them all the time, they like to stop in the middle of the roads and no car won’t move 😂🤣😂
Yes, please preserve these majestic animals.
Yeah!!! Dunbar,,,awesome!
I used to live near Antelope Island in Utah and my family and I would drive over the causeway to see the bison that run free there. They were awesome. One year we even bought a stuffed animal bison and gave it to our daughter as an Easter Bison. 😅
I dont know if your intentions are to raise them for meat or not, but I can say, its very good, and lean.
But congratulations on your new herd. 🎉 😁🦬
I'm from Wyoming. We get to see them a lot. They are a beautiful and amazing animal. Congratulations
Awesome, awesome, awesome! Love your dedication! And "our" men who made it happen 💪!! Beautiful job young woman!!
Worked eight years on a ranchin Wyoming with a bison herd ..... good to see they are back again where they once were 👍
Cool stuff
It looks like a paradise for them to roam.
They are beautiful creatures ❤
My very favorite animal
Thought these were Dusty Bakers bison.
We also have a bison ranch here in Blanchard Oklahoma I don’t know his name but my sister has taken my grandchildren out there he’s always shows them the red dogs start showing up!❤
Great video loved it!Looking forward, watching more of them.!
I really love seeing this so near to home. I hope this leads eventually to farmers and many states establishing country-wide corridors across the U.S. for the use of Wild bison. There are many long stretches of fenced in cattle padture in Kentucky that are along rivers. They flood, so you don't see houses and city business there. I wonder if bison trails could follow the big rivers in Tennessee, Kentucky, Southwest Virginia and on west. We got LOTS of empty river banks. Fences would keep them off interstates along rivers???
Thank you !!!!!!!!!!😍😍😍😍
It would be cool to have wild populations of Bison and Elk back in the East. Of course there are issues with the reintroduced Elk but hopefully enough would survive to maintain a population.
Love them❤
Great! Now maybe I don’t have to order online, just drive from NC to your farm. In process of making large batches of Pemmican, and Bison is what I need! They look great, congrats 😊
We have Elk and Bison game reserve at land between the lakes in Kentucky, been serval times pay at gate drive through they are beautiful. Game wardens do patrol
I ran across this video and I was amazed of what's coming to Tennessee. Good luck on your journey!❤🇺🇸🌹
Oh my word this is wonderful!! I’m so glad I found u! I’m n NC at the VA border. Love that ur getting bison!!!
Pretty, pretty exciting!
I once had a friend from Arizona that moved to Idaho. Before he left Arizona in a drawing he drew a hunting permit for buffalo. When he returned to Arizona to hunt his buffalo a ranger took him out to the herd and said shoot that buffalo.😂 he thought he was going on a hunt! I even got to eat part of his buffalo🥰
I grew up on the Onondaga Tribal Reservation, we have had a Bison since I was a child. Beautiful animals.
Magnificent intro
A BEAUTIFUL Sight!!!! 😊😍😇
Small mountain bison used to be wild in southeastern Kentucky. Wiping out bison was stupid.
I've read that the eastern woods bison and elk were actually larger than the plains bison and western elk. Hopefully, a few may escape one day. Escaped elk tend to get shot. Maybe Bubba won't be so quick to shoot a buffalo.
@robertbates6057 I am no expert on bison. I read that mountain bison were smaller. I was reading a history book. It could have been inaccurate. I read that a militia man bragged about shooting the last one on Black Mountain in Harlan County, Ky.
Loved watching. Thank you. I live in Just above Duncansville, PA. I am jabout one eight mile from a neighbor that brought buffalo to his hillside farm in the 1970’s. I love watching them. I saw live buffalo for first time ar age 19 while trining at Fort Sill Oklahoma in 1972. You are so lucky !
That's really cool! It's amazing how close you are to a neighbor with bison. They're such impressive animals. Having seen them at Fort Sill in 1972, you must have been in awe. It's a truly unique experience. I'm glad you enjoyed the video. Would you like to share any stories about seeing your neighbor's bison?
Live it up Amber, so happy to hear you reach for the stars. Looking forward to following you on this amazing adventure. Blessings All!
Flat movin!
DUSTY CAN TELL YOU ALL ABOUT THEM. WATCH HIS CHANNEL. HE CAN GET CLOSE TOO HIS. 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍❤
We’d love to see more. Great idea! TFS! Stay safe.
We have had Bison here on the Tennessee/Kentucky/Virginia border for years now. They are a very interesting creature indeed. Glad to see someone else takes interest in them and caring for the Bison. Thanks Narrow Bottoms!
I follow Dusty Baker
Same here. We love that channel. I’m sure I’ll enjoy this as well. Best of luck to you all.
Ditto, love watching how their herd has grown and Now the Ponderosa and all the work @Cross Timbers Bison.
I also am a long time follower of Dusty @Cross Timbers Bison. I'm so looking forward to watching you grow your herd, learn how to "work" them, etc. Thanks for letting us come along and share in your exciting new adventure!
