I seriously need that “music box”
I saw the Broadway one for my birthday and they were selling 'replicas' of the music box for $160 ($250 on Amazon). It has Anastasia and Dimitri as the figures and and the background is the bridge from that one song. The faces are kinda messed up tho.
Good news is this music box is on Amazon for 90 bucks

Even though I've heard somewhere that she didn't actually survive, this is still a good story. I loved the cartoon musical when I was a kid and I still enjoy it. Don Bluth, not Disney, right?

They where actually killed in a quit horrible way in a cellar where they where hiding.
They were killed while in the exile in Ekaterinburg.At that point Nicholas the Second stepped down,but he still acted as a symbol of power,so the bolshevis decided to kill them.The girls had diamonds in their dresses ,tha
t acted as a bulletproof jacket,so the bolsheviks have burnt them alive.The remnants of Anastasia's have not been found,which sparked the idea that she might have survived...I am Russian,and this is the part of our history that still makes our hearts bleed.

Gisteren naar toe geweest en het was echt waanzinnig mooi! Echt heel erg genoten. Vooral van Tessa als Anya en Milan als Dimitri. En Ad en Ellen als Vlad en Lily waren echt hilarisch. Topshow. Zeker een aanrader.

Wow, ik krijg al kippenvel als ik alleen al naar deze trailer luister. Ik ben naar de musical geweest en vond het echt prachtig, oprecht een van de mooiste musicals waar ik ooit naartoe ben geweest. Het verhaal en de muziek zijn prachtig en iedereen zong en speelde heel goed😍

De musical was echt zo mooi, heb de hele tijd met een grote glimlach op mijn gezicht gezeten!!! De Nederlandse cast brengt het verhaal echt veel beter dan de Amerikaanse . Kan niet wachten tot ik de cd krijg thuisgestuurd.... want die hadden ze nog niet klaar haha

Op spotify is deze te luisteren, als je zoekt op Anastasia Dutch Cast vindt je hem! De fysieke cd kan je bestellen bij de balie in het theater, dan sturen ze hem toe als hij uitkomt.

I didn't know there was another version of this musical besides Christy Altomare???
There have been many productions of Anastasia besides Broadway and it's Pre-Broadway try-out production in Hartford! They had 2 tours throughout the US and productions in Germany, The Netherlands, Spain, Mexico, Brazil and Japan. All were replicas of the Broadway production but they were performed in their countries' native languages

This is the German version (I think)
There was one on Broadway and it didn't have Rasputin. The antagonist is now a Bolshevik officer named Gleb
There is no Rasputin. They looked a little more on the actual events of the october revolution and made their characters suitable for that kind of story

Ik wilde hier zo graag heen, maar het is te duur voor mijn ouders om de kaartjes te kopen.
k j Mijn tip is geld sparen en doordeweeks te gaan als er scholen zijn. Je hoeft niet first row voor een geweldige ervaring, ik zat aan de zijkant en je kon alsnog het meeste goed zien. Als het nogsteeds te duur is, sparen, sparen, sparen. T is het zeker waard.
Bankgiroloterij heeft nu een actie voor 2 gratis vrijkaarten als je lid wordt. Lidmaatschap kun je na een maand weer opzeggen. Misschien idee?

Dat is nou wat ze eenmaal doen. Ze vertalen de hele musical en vertalen hem terug in het engels. Het moet ook passen bij de Broadway musical. Dus ja.

Elsjepelsje Jawel. De Amerikaanse schrijvers moeten het goedkeuren. Dus het word eerst vertaald van het Engels naar het Nederlands, en dan weer van het Nederlands naar het Engels. Dit is altijd het proces van het vertalen van een musical.

Even as a Dutch person I always watched the movie in English. I love the movie and I love musicals, but even listening to this I can't just get over the Dutch lyrics and that is holding me back to go there :(

Dat kan je inderdaad baseren op een trailer. En op voorgaande optredens. Als je Anya al niet in de juiste toonhoogte/toonkleur kan zingen, dan moet je het gewoonweg niet willen.
We wachten wel op de alternate!
Je kan ook gewoon open staan voor de Nederlandse versie ik ben dol op Christy altomare maar hoe Tessa de rol neer zet is gewoon fantastisch en kan je pas een oordeel over geven als je de show hebt gezien
