I hate to say it but I think because Niall is so drama free and out of the tabloids it hurts his success as a musician. He’s out golfing and playing guitar, not going to wild parties. He’s keeping his relationship private and dating a normal person, not someone famous.
@@ryleecweaver exactly! Like to people outside the fandom, they might think his good natured ways are just boring. They miss out on his kindness, talent, humor, and sass.
I don't think so. As much as i like Niall, i think what truly hurts his success is the fact that his music is too generic and it lacks personality. Don't get me wrong, i'm not hating on him, i like his music, i think it's good, i'm just saying that it doesn't really have anything special about it, he's just another average singer-songwriter, he's like a watered down Ed Sheeran.
Agree, Niall doesn't have "craziness" of most celebrities. I want Niall to start composing for MOVIES!! Every song I've listened to, I can clearly see in a movie. And I want to see Niall really focus on golf business. I just feel like One Direction was just the start, but I can see Niall and Louis going far in the BUSINESS. I just think the usual formula won't work for Niall. Honestly, Harry doesn't have any real drama, he just fits the standard. Harry really minds his business once he's off the stage LOL
@@ryleecweaver Totally agree! The more confident Louis become...he's going to be unstoppable. He doesn't give himself enough credit at all. Sheesh, he already has a successful music festival and a music contract that isn't the standard BS...Louis going to kill the business when he ready
Unpopular opinion (from someone who actually studies singing), I think Niall had the best x-factor audition. It was clean, relaxed and I think he sounded more unique than the others.
really? thats interesting. like even compared to liam? cause i've only heard other singers say liams was "the best" (i hate to put it that way and i hate comparing them) i'm genuinely curious
That's why I've never figured out why the judges were the hardest on him. I thought his audition was so good, but then the judges stop him mid song to tell him how bad he is.
@@bienemaja4007 I think Liam's singing was impersonal and uninteresting to listen to. He just sang loudly with no dynamic changes and I don't think it was really his genre. It wasn't bad, just not interesting to me.
@Tove! I thought the exact same thing! I wasn't going to mention Louis, but since you did now I can too. Lol. Love the dude, but his X factor audition pales in comparison with Naills, but for some reason they went super harsh on Niall. Louis sounded like the nerves got to him and had some pitchy places.
@@r666sie ??? That makes no sense lmao. I can think of a number of artists that deserve much more success than they have, so that argument is flawed in every way imaginable.
@@ElizabethNicoleSchwartz It isn’t because they both came out of 1D at the same time so started on a level playing field, they had a big fan base. Harry immediately got a role in the main cast of a Nolan blockbuster after going through an arduous audition process and was quickly selling out arenas following one album with 10 songs because he’s such a great performer. Then Fine Line became a massive commercial success in a way that Heartbreak weather didn’t because more ppl wanted to listen to FL - it didn’t leave the US top 30 albums for over a year and his success reached a whole new level and a much bigger fan base than 1D fans. I think it may be his youthful looks. He isn't a "sex symbol" in the same way other male pop acts are. Niall is obviously handsome but some people may not find him sexy in the same way that Harry, JB, Zayn, Justin Timberlake, etc. are/were. I do feel like he is an Ed Sheeran type artist, where lyrics should be the main thing he's known for but bc he's a former boyband member, people don't want to give him credit for it. Timing is also a real good reason too. Also, Slow Hands is forever my bop of 2017.
also, I think coming from 1D was really more harmful to Niall, Louis, and Liam than it ever was to Harry and Zayn. Harry and Zayn were considered the main voices and they were expected to do great things. Most people didn't really expect much from the other 3 which makes me so sad.
I agree with EVERYTHING you said. I think if Heartbreak Weather didn’t come out in that week that Covid blew up he would be at that level that we know he could be. Being on the Voice is going to be an amazing step for exposure for him. He deserves all the success and I really hope that this new era brings that for him because he has worked so incredibly hard for it
coming from someone who very passively follows what everyone except liam does i think the 4 aside from niall are such polarizingly different ppl together that niall was genuinely the glue that held them together vocally but also in their dynamic
I was never really into one direction during their hay day but niall always caught my eye. Now 5 years later, I'm a proud Niall girl and Heartbreak Weather's nr 1 fan. ''Everywhere'' and ''Still'' are still onmy spotify rotation. That man is just impossible not to love
I agree niall is very charismatic and humble ... I feel like his first album was more mainstream than Harry's and that maybe it is just timing or the fact that he wasnt really performing his second album so he was kind of left in the shadows for a while
Nah. i gotta disagree with the mainstream fact. Both of their albums weren't mainstream. I think comparing them, Harry was more mainstream. Niall's was very folky, country, and soft-rock which is much less popular than a pop-rock album that was HS1. I mean take slow hands, and this town for example. Niall himself said it so many times that it was a big risk releasing slow hands because something that is so bass-heavy and folk-pop wasn't really popular at that point in time. Even this town wasn't expected to chart so high and do the numbers that it did because it was literally just him on a guitar singing a very stripped-down soft song. The risk really paid off though
Out of all the 1D boys solo music, Niall’s has always been my favourite (ofc the rest of the boys solo music is awesome too). There’s so much authenticity and comfort in his songs, and his songwriting just elevates every album. He def deserves more ❤ Cant wait for ‘The Show!!!’
i was just talking about harry and niall the other day with my bf. as a niall fan from the beginning, going from the days of up all night and take me home where he (and louis) were being shorted solos by sico to today where im hearing 3-4 of *his* songs on the radio station my local grocery store uses.. im just so insanely proud of him and im so glad hes getting the recognition he deserves
heartbreak weather is such a solid album!! sometimes i wish i could listen to it for the first time again i love the order of the tracks and how it tells a story i love it i love it
niall horan is my comfort person. the amount of times i go back to heartbreak weather is insane. he's very talented. i'm so happy niall is going ahead steadily with his career, in his 3rd era already with a distinct sound yet sounding like him and not gimmicky at all. most of the people who were a part of a group earlier don't have a flourishing career and don't even make it to their sophomore album. niall is doing so so well for himself.
honestly i love that him and louis are so underrated. yes, the deserve to be gigantic but for completely selfish reasons i love having my talented little boys that i actually get concert tickets for and gatekeep forever
his music is so underrated and his personality makes him so marketable!! I hope he gains some more attention from judging on the voice I’m still surprised heaven hasn’t blown up on tik tok yet
I always felt like Niall's moment is coming either this year or towards the next few years when it comes to recognition and success as Harry does. And I am certain he's going to be up there very soon!💗 love all the boys and their successes, and right now my bet is on Niall.
I also think people really need to stop comparing him to Harry. The success Harry is getting is rare. Not everyone can become as big as T Swift or Ed Sheeran. I have seen this so many times that people dismiss other 1D members because of Harry. I mean I have experienced it myself so many times. whenever I say something about Niall being underrated, someone ends up saying "Harry stands out, Harry is way better" and it pisses me off. I mean I know they were in the same band but Harry is not the only one in the music industry. I mean Harry is great and yes he is making history, I love him and he deserves all of the success because he works hard but I am not talking about Niall having Harry-level success, I am talking about NIALL being underrated in GENERAL!! Why bring up Harry when talking about Niall when literally no one brings up Niall when talking about Harry.
the songwriting point is so true. No one realized how good of a writer he was until Flicker! and now most consider him to be the best songwriter from the band 💖 and he is literally know for being an amazing 'singer-songwriter'
I recently started getting into Niall’s music (I wasn’t ever a 1D fan even, like idk why I just started listening to him lol) and I’ve been obsessed ever since. His music is so timeless and his writing is amazing. I can’t wait to see what The Show has in store ❤️❤️
He has definitely improved since going solo, he is making songs that suit him better, as he definitely didn’t stand out in 1D , even tho he was may fave, I didn’t really get in to 1D but he was the one I liked the most
Like honestly, heaven is the best example to show, how much Niall can actually so like the dude needed barely a moth to get 30 million streams (I’m not sure about the number it’s either 30 or 10)? Like bro? Woah?
I feel like the Nice to Meet Ya tour would have been so amazing for Lewis Capadli and Niall’s career and friendship, I feel like we would have gotten a collab album from them🥲 I feel like being on the voice will help make up for it!
I love Niall. Black and White and This Town are two of my favorite. I like the storytelling aspect of his writing and am curious toe hear The Show, which he says is a departure. Both Niall and Harry stand out to me solo and in 1D.
S*mon wanted him to contract Syco as a solo artist, but he chose Capital for his label was a very solid move imo. Because of this, Niall is the only member that never performed on X factor since 1D hiatus, of course excluding Zayn.
Became a Niall fan because of The Voice. Since then I’ve fallen into a bottomless rabbit hole of Niall Horan & One Direction content. It never ends. I won’t give my impressions on his time with the band, because I’m afraid I would be reading into things. It just seems to be no coincidence that he has found his confidence since going solo. I agree, I heard HIS music first. I’m impressed. All the covers, the collaborations and these 3 albums (as a solo artist; 8 with the albums with 1D) are quite the achievement. He’s classic, won’t be a flash in the pan, will have a career of longevity. At least, I’ve seen that progression so far of getting better and better with everything he does.
I've been a Niall Horan fan since I first discovered 1D when what makes you beautiful was released on UA-cam he's so talented and I hope he gets more success like he was so underrated in 1D and still kind of is
i agree with literally everything. he's so painfully underrated in the mainstream scene and i do wish people see him the same way they do with harry. i really want to figure out why he isn't as big as he could be given all his potential.
I love this. You actually said all I was thinking about Niall. He was also the most versatile, he can sings lots of cover songs of different genres, plays various musical instruments & writes good songs. Defo underrated, my opinion, he should be popular as Harry if not more. Real talent with no gimmicks 👌💯❤️
It's interesting that he picked r and b songs. I've never seen any of their auditions but Niall sounded pretty good to me. Considering he was a 16 year old kid that didn't have any training, I thought he sounded good - not great, but definitely not horrible.
I think that after Liam, Niall's audition was the best. but the judges were so harsh on him😢Niall was probably just nervous and was telling them that he wanted to become as big as them JB and Simon literally snapped at him and told him to stop mocking them
Ive never cared about one direction but your specific view point is so interesting about each of them youre like an archive gallery of 1d history lol its fascinating
Honestly, thank you for pointing out how Niall was at some point the most popular member, like it reminds me of people getting surprised Zayn has the most followers on UA-cam, IG and Facebook out of the band even now, like they know hes popular, but dont realise hes no1, well its because he was very popular in the band too, he just wasnt promoted as much because he has anxiety, I remember they tried to half way X factor and the first album, 2nd album it was very obvious he had majority and it was centred on him, Niall was also super popular but they didnt think he was a good enough vocalist, which isnt true
out of all of them (if we re talking pure mainstream fame) STRICKLY MY LIL OPINION -zayn doesnt want that performing lifestyle thats ok queen -louis music doesnt feel that mainstream : i could see some of his songs getting really famous becoming classics in their own neishe but not pop star -liam idk babe -harry honestly i wouldnt have expected it in a way (for some reason i never thought his music would suit the mainstream idk why) but absolute icon pop star and such a natural born performer -nialllll niall feels like he could be ed sheeran ya know always there pumping out bangers and consistent and lovable
Interesting that the two most underrated members of 1D, Niall and Louis, are the two who were asked to judge and mentor others---and whose people won!!!
Does anyone think Niall encapsulating the group and a boyband with his cute easy going personality, go lucky and braces self also made it harder for him to break out solo away from the group I think it would be good if he maybe collaborated with people in his label like Sam Smith/Disclosure/NF gain exposure to a different audience which can appreciate him, I think The Voice is a good platform to cement his place
as a directioner and a niall fan I think part of why he's not as famous as he could be is the fact that he's not too original in his genre and persona (not saying that in a negative way, I do love him)
imma be honest i dont know anything about one direction and i didn't even know who niall horan is. but your voice is really nice to listen to and you make your discussion very interesting !! i'm really glad i clicked,, your video is very relaxing and engaging !! also i love your setup it looks very cozy
I remember reading in a magazine that his pet peeve was rabbits cause they didnt do anything... I never forgot that. did he know what a pet peeve was? or did he just give the most clever answer in the world? 🐰🐰🐰🐰
I agree with everything you said except for the "Fool Gold". Niall did not right Fool Gold. The songwriters, Julian, Jamie and someone else wrote it. Julian said Harry came in one day and heard them trying to do the song and it was Harry that help rewrite some of the lyrics and help to arrange the song.
Hi, I think 💭 that maybe Camila Cabello helped, Niall get recognised, she was the one that knew his music 🎶 and Voice performance by contestants were doing some Niall songs, so my take on it was it Alerted Blake Shelton peaked his own interest, then he mentions it, and I then guess from there. The Voice people have their people contact his people and wallah! 👏💕Thank you for the video Jasmine.
im probably gonna get attacked for this cause there's a lot of ot5s in these comments but i just need to say it. the reason niall is not super mainstream yet is cause the ot5s (most not all) don't take niall seriously not cause the public doesn't. the gp will listen to one niall song and know he is a MUSICIAN and not just an ex boybander, but its the ot5s that can't comprehend nialls talent. they are stuck in 1d era and they think niall's entire personality is being irish. like its crazy to me how his musical talent is never mentioned in talks among ot5s. and they act shocked everytime he does high notes. like literally for heaven ppl think the backgroud highnotes are liam?? like my mans been showing his vocal talent for years and they dont believe its him. and the constant harry comparison of his music even though its NOTHING alike. its so frustrating cause they are fans but not once do they help in promoting niall to gp. harry has a very large solo fanbase and that helps him with more gp attention but since nialls solo fanbase is small its harder cause the ot5s are seen niall fans to gp cause they're more in number and all they do is talk about how he laughs a lot. thats what the gp sees then instead of his music. its the reason its seems like his personality is being more promoted that his music. all being said i truly hope this era is good for niall and the voice airing and the festivals he's doing help him gain more gp attention cause he absolutely deserves to be a main mainstream artist.
I love Niall. I do. His music, not so much. I like maybe 5-6 songs enough to buy them, most from Flicker. I love Louis' music, rarely a skip. Most emotional, more personal, more original. Too many of Niall's songs sound the same. Un-popular opinion, I know.
Im a Niall girl and i agree unfortunately. The songs just dont say much. He is good and creative at instrumental arrangements. If only he could push out of his comfort zone try more difficult vocals techniques or dig deeper into his lyrics. But watching his live concerts is so fun he has great energy on stage :D all the songs instantly become better :D
They're all living their lives and and doing what they want and while Harry and louis are touring and performing the others are more laid back they all very different people with their own talents and they don't have to be singers I could see niall being some kind of TV presenter so I think any comparisons are pointless they will never be each other only themselves and they are the masters of their own careers.

YES!! Niall has a lot of potential. Can't agree more with everything you said in your video.
I've been a Niall Horan fan since I first discovered 1D when what makes you beautiful was released on UA-cam he's so talented and I hope he gets more success like he was so underrated in 1D and still kind of is
As a Horan Dog, I would like to say thank you for this amazing video! I can't wait for "The Show". Heavan was such an amazing songgggg!
i agree with literally everything. he's so painfully underrated in the mainstream scene and i do wish people see him the same way they do with harry. i really want to figure out why he isn't as big as he could be given all his potential.
and now he’s on tour!!😎😎
I love this. You actually said all I was thinking about Niall. He was also the most versatile, he can sings lots of cover songs of different genres, plays various musical instruments & writes good songs. Defo underrated, my opinion, he should be popular as Harry if not more. Real talent with no gimmicks 👌💯❤️
Haven’t seen the vid and I already agree with everything you have to say💅🏾
niall is really so underrated 🫶
I AM A NIALL GIRL THIS IS SOOOO
It's interesting that he picked r and b songs. I've never seen any of their auditions but Niall sounded pretty good to me. Considering he was a 16 year old kid that didn't have any training, I thought he sounded good - not great, but definitely not horrible.
I think that after Liam, Niall's audition was the best. but the judges were so harsh on him😢Niall was probably just nervous and was telling them that he wanted to become as big as them JB and Simon literally snapped at him and told him to stop mocking them
Immediately from the beginning "lets do this poo" something inside me was awakened 🙏🏻
i'm so pumped for the album
Love your video!
Small correction though: The Voice was originated in the Netherlands, not by any English speaking country.
Was looking for this comment
Ive never cared about one direction but your specific view point is so interesting about each of them youre like an archive gallery of 1d history lol its fascinating
“It’s easy to be a Niall fan.” -Louis
Oh this is hey angel but better
Honestly, thank you for pointing out how Niall was at some point the most popular member, like it reminds me of people getting surprised Zayn has the most followers on UA-cam, IG and Facebook out of the band even now, like they know hes popular, but dont realise hes no1, well its because he was very popular in the band too, he just wasnt promoted as much because he has anxiety, I remember they tried to half way X factor and the first album, 2nd album it was very obvious he had majority and it was centred on him, Niall was also super popular but they didnt think he was a good enough vocalist, which isnt true
I was listening to his music today and he has an amazing and unique voice. His music is great. He deserves so much more success
niall is the only male i’d turn straight for he’s so perfeccct
Loved him playing at the White House on St Patrick’s day
out of all of them (if we re talking pure mainstream fame) STRICKLY MY LIL OPINION
-zayn doesnt want that performing lifestyle thats ok queen
-louis music doesnt feel that mainstream : i could see some of his songs getting really famous becoming classics in their own neishe but not pop star
-liam idk babe
-harry honestly i wouldnt have expected it in a way (for some reason i never thought his music would suit the mainstream idk why) but absolute icon pop star and such a natural born performer
-nialllll niall feels like he could be ed sheeran ya know always there pumping out bangers and consistent and lovable
Interesting that the two most underrated members of 1D, Niall and Louis, are the two who were asked to judge and mentor others---and whose people won!!!
Does anyone think Niall encapsulating the group and a boyband with his cute easy going personality, go lucky and braces self also made it harder for him to break out solo away from the group
I think it would be good if he maybe collaborated with people in his label like Sam Smith/Disclosure/NF gain exposure to a different audience which can appreciate him, I think The Voice is a good platform to cement his place
so true, also we love you supporting your boyfriend ❤
haven't even seen the video yet and i've already liked it
THIS IS WHAT I’VE BEEN WAITING FOR😎😎
as a directioner and a niall fan I think part of why he's not as famous as he could be is the fact that he's not too original in his genre and persona (not saying that in a negative way, I do love him)
I was hypnotised by your cute dimples! 💜 great video 🫶🏻
When you said Lloyd, I was thinking of Lloyd Daniel's.
Niall's soooooooooo creative. There are people that learn their to be talented and other that are natural by birth, and that's him 100%
2:19 Hes so cute here omg, I swear Niall, harry and Zayn just looked like fetuses back in X factor, the baby fat on them
so excited to watch it
omg "let's do this poop" love it. love this, thank you for spreading awareness of how underrated niall is - niall girl since 2011
imma be honest i dont know anything about one direction and i didn't even know who niall horan is. but your voice is really nice to listen to and you make your discussion very interesting !! i'm really glad i clicked,, your video is very relaxing and engaging !!
also i love your setup it looks very cozy
these comments passed the vibe check
Stream Heaven for clear skin everyone
niall is my boy forever and always like
this video is so wholesome 💕
The discussion I never knew I needed in my life, God bless U Jasmine
I remember reading in a magazine that his pet peeve was rabbits cause they didnt do anything... I never forgot that. did he know what a pet peeve was? or did he just give the most clever answer in the world? 🐰🐰🐰🐰
Niall 🥰💕💕💕💕
YES JAS ILY
i love your videos so much
let niall sing!
ONCE A NIALL GIRL, ALWAYS A NIALL GIRL!
We need to give Katy Perry her dues for literally making 1d happen
Girl you are so funny I love you 🤣
I have not watched any of the video yet but I agree with everything you said
Ahh I love your videos!! ❤ Spot on as always 😊
this is an amazing video!!!!
im probably gonna get attacked for this cause there's a lot of ot5s in these comments but i just need to say it. the reason niall is not super mainstream yet is cause the ot5s (most not all) don't take niall seriously not cause the public doesn't. the gp will listen to one niall song and know he is a MUSICIAN and not just an ex boybander, but its the ot5s that can't comprehend nialls talent. they are stuck in 1d era and they think niall's entire personality is being irish. like its crazy to me how his musical talent is never mentioned in talks among ot5s. and they act shocked everytime he does high notes. like literally for heaven ppl think the backgroud highnotes are liam?? like my mans been showing his vocal talent for years and they dont believe its him. and the constant harry comparison of his music even though its NOTHING alike. its so frustrating cause they are fans but not once do they help in promoting niall to gp. harry has a very large solo fanbase and that helps him with more gp attention but since nialls solo fanbase is small its harder cause the ot5s are seen niall fans to gp cause they're more in number and all they do is talk about how he laughs a lot. thats what the gp sees then instead of his music. its the reason its seems like his personality is being more promoted that his music.
all being said i truly hope this era is good for niall and the voice airing and the festivals he's doing help him gain more gp attention cause he absolutely deserves to be a main mainstream artist.
yesss
FACTS
OMG
I love Niall. I do. His music, not so much. I like maybe 5-6 songs enough to buy them, most from Flicker. I love Louis' music, rarely a skip. Most emotional, more personal, more original. Too many of Niall's songs sound the same. Un-popular opinion, I know.
Im a Niall girl and i agree unfortunately. The songs just dont say much. He is good and creative at instrumental arrangements. If only he could push out of his comfort zone try more difficult vocals techniques or dig deeper into his lyrics. But watching his live concerts is so fun he has great energy on stage :D all the songs instantly become better :D
pls make a vid on olivia rodrigo it factor
Can you please do a Louis version? :)
