It occurs to me on the seventeenth listen that maybe question asker has an italian accent because they have Italian parents who only spoke heavily accented English at home
Pprettypinkdork Even if that were true, he almost certainly grew up in the US, going to school and interacting with American accents surely almost every day. Children of immigrants don't have their parents' accent, even if they speak the language of their native country. Kevin from Nebraska is a moron lol
Okay but i legitimately don’t know the answer to this question though, because foreign exchange students said they were always putting on their American accent whenever they talked and I didn’t mind it.
as someone who's worked with their own accent when moving to america, i think it's fine in the exchange student case because their "american accents" are used mostly for just trying to get people to understand them better when they communicate, but kevin seems to just be doing it because he thinks it'll be funny.
Non-binary Coding eh, if you’re surrounded by people with accents, you’ll pick them up, whether or not you have the origin behind it. The real question is how he didn’t also pick up any of the Italian if he was surrounded by people from Italy
Were the exchange students speaking English though? They're not talking about speaking italian with an Italian accent, or English with an american accent he's taking about going to italy and speaking English to Italians, with an Italian accent. That's why they were speaking Spanish with an American accent, to show how absurd that is.
This comment is 3 years old but I'll respond anyway for anyone who sees it in the future. It's totally fine for exchange students to try to speak with an American accent because they are speaking English, the language of the country. The person asking the question isn't going to Italy to speak Italian with an authentic accent, they're going to Italy to speak English with an Italian accent which is totally unnecessary. A more direct comparison would be an exchange person coming to America and speaking their country's language with an American accent
"Mi nombre es! J O S E H A M M O N D" knocks me out every single time oh my god
¿Donde esta los thunderlizards? always has me rolling. I know it's coming every time, and it still cracks me up.
¿Ven Conmingo a Jurassic Park?
Griffin's screaming laughter always gets me
Griffin’s laugh always sounds like he’s in physical pain
Justin’s laugh always looks like he’s in physical pain
i constantly say “a nebrAYskan brogue” and i forgot what bit i got it from but i’m so glad i found this again
"I imagine they hate weebs"
'Imagine if a japanese man was walking around like (In a drawl) "Where can I find a tumbleweed?"'
ohhh yes. this is the bit that got me into mbmbam initially
Every day at least one line of this bit passes through my mind unprompted
This video is old BUT. I'm taking a Scottish Gaelic class and there's an old man who talks EXACTLY LIKE THIS when he's speaking Gaelic
Griffin’s laughter here is so so blessed
Is it offensive if I go to Jurassic park and speak like the cartoon DNA?
you're actually legally required to talk like the cartoon dna, it's in the waiver hammond makes you sign on your way in
Dinosaurs, mi amigo
This is it, this is my favourite mbmbam clip
T R I C E R A T O P S
I knew about Griffin and Justin from Polygon, but one of my friends played this bit for me and I've been hooked into the MBMBAM-verse.
You should try The adventure zone as well it’s top notch as well
I always come back to this.

@@blueskybelyr I live in quebec have a friend with a british mom, and they grew up with a british accent despite living in canada from birth.
@@Spottedleaf14 I am British, I would be very interested to hear their "British" accent.
@@CraigMetalHead it's not very present now since we're in our 20s, but it comes out every now and then
@@Spottedleaf14 ... I would be curious what accent it would be. It would be shocking if they had a Manc accent in Canada.

I imagine the op probably has an American Italian accent, which is an even funnier mental image imo

Glass shark energy
they know that's Spanish not Italian right
Olga Svenselts yea, they were making an analogy.
It's frustrating that they assume that this person is bad, instead of perhaps growing up with Italian-speaking/accented parents.
The poster likely would have mentioned that.
Shut up, Kevin
Griffin sounds like idubbbz Imao
