I like how the air blast wave in the Moons atmosphere is blowing things around in the opening :)
To me it feels like a cheap plot twist. The game doesn't have to be hyper realistic, but I find it difficult to empathize with these stories when such incredible things happen.
There is no atmosphere in space or on the moon, so a shock wave is not possible, and an asteroid could simply not hit unnoticed in this scenario.
But beside that, i stil think the game is very nice!
@@michaelbaggerman8513 An asteroid impact would be noticed, there would still be for example seismic waves. But not atmospheric waves, no. But it do look dramatic :)
Love it how Z1 is worried about power but goes and uses 3 pings with the ore scanner which is showing on the right side that each use costs POWER. Had a good laugh. :'-D
Please keep this series going. Again I only have seen the first episode ever played. This looks like an amazing game
The moment the video started, I thought it was space engineers because of the great textured and space ships
I love Z1 gaming❤❤
Looks nice.
Want more.
This game reminds me so much of Frostpunk honestly, and I love it
it is surprising we have not done this since we have found frozen water on the moon and have not tried a mining system on it yet.
Would they tell us if they did ?? Everything is kept secret from us these days it seems.
The Moon is considered international territory. A private company could mine on the moon but they would have to foot the bill for a space program and that is too expensive, plus they would have to find enough resources on the moon to be worth expense to go to the moon.
they plan to send people to the Moon and set up bases on its surface, and potentially under
This looks like a good game I'll play it when released
The lighting and graphics are a lot better now.
8:50 hey bob
i been looking forward to this game Releasing
games looks amazing!
the announcer man in the beginning sounds like an anime otaku im crying
Looks like an interesting game, next episode please
Keeping it crusty. Woot woot.
Your power "problems" aren't because of an actual lack of power, but because your batteries have a limited output. Small batteries can only output 10 power each regardless of how much they have stored. So if you have 10 batteries then you can only cover 100 power draw at once. If your base needs 150, then you will always be short 50 power and it will shut off some buildings. As such, building more solar panels to fully charge doesn't actually help you any. Build more batteries instead to up the output, and only build more panels when your total draw during the night is higher than the total charge during the day. (You may want a little extra charge to store up to cover the ore detectors needs). Note that there was a glitch back when it was in demo where the batteries didn't actually output the amount they said they were supposed to and I have no idea if that was ever fixed.
I love this game and video 😍
Surviving The Moon
It doesn't matter how many batteries you build you need the power generation to match it. Concentrate building solar panels first then add batteries second.
ty💘
At this point I've seen about 8 youtubers enjoying this game over the last few months and I feel I know the story by heart. Wonder if they'll have real voice acting and not just AI voices on release?
Oh! Clearly they're using real voices now, I should have watched more than 15 seconds before commenting :P
Part 2 please
Captain of industry in space?
Maybe later you will research more advance forms of energy generation, perhaps burnable sources like Hydrogen, or Helium-3.
Hey, way at the beginning, the subtitles are absolutely TINY. Is that because it's a YT video or because of your resolution?
New Z1 vid just dropped
9:53 the subtitle says "start the excavation" but the VO says "start the evacuation". I guess they _should_ have evacuated, given what happened moments later, but that was definitely the wrong word.
Yea, the bug is already reported- they are working on getting that line redone (I'm a beta tester of the game)
😂🎉 it realeas on my birthday 🎉....I know what I am getting
WAIT ITS THE CRUST
I'M A BETA TESTER ON THIS GAME I LOVE THIS GAME
how do you get access to these games which aren't even listen for sell?
yea they need to just switch nasa space shuttle to build a space elevator
I hate you for been able to play this one, ahead of everybody else (in a good sense).
Bro talking during cutscenes that are also talking 💀
Why are the subtitles so tiny…?!
Yes sir
Was trying to wipe your mouse off my screen like it was a piece of dust...😅
Soo why would you cut our story video and story dialog when you are doing the tutorial/story mode?
I'm a little mad watching this but it's only jealousy. I played the Demo a while back and have been itching to play this game since. Still got a week to go.
…an underground…
Anyone else think he made a deal with the Mob?
10 minute gang
Live stream this one.
what game is it?
10:00 don't have a seizure buddy, we still need you here 🤣
Oh yea, No more videos needed, Just take my money!
man... not sure if its just because of the youtube video, but them subtitles and text are SMALL.
man I dunno if it's just my old eyes or what, but the text on this is SUPER tiny o.o
Pretty sure it's either always light or always dark on the moon depending on where you are. It doesn't spin on it's axis.
Not true. The Moon has a day/night cycle that takes 28 Earth days or one Lunar orbit to complete. What doesn't change is the side of the moon that faces Earth. This is what is meant by being "tidally locked". The crater you see at the center of the Moon is always in the center of the Moon from our perspective on Earth no matter when you look at it. When you look at a half moon, the part that was lit 7 days ago is now dark. On a new moon, the entire side that was lit 14 days ago is now totally dark. The phrase "The dark side of the Moon" would be more accurate as "the unseen side of the Moon".
Meh twitter, what a waste
Fake thumbnails should be banned from UA-cam. Also, mention THE NAME OF THE GAME on the title, FFS!
IDK maybe because the games' studio's CEO is, allegedly, a huge AI techbro shill?
Before black eyes and bruises, the game name and even a link to the steam store is provided. (edit) ..in the video description.
I hope you don't mind if I mute you and use closed captioning. You have some interesting things to share but I'm 65 and it hurts my brain when people talk like they're teaching kindergarten.
Another video with a thumbnail so AI-like that I'd rather not watch at all
@@D34THxR34P3R because I'm not handicapped, I can write a comment in a couple of seconds, so don't worry, I wasted no effort.
looks like a decent game but i can't watch because you keep smacking your lips into the mic just constructive criticism maybe have some water or something before recording
A technical note: The power output of a solar panel on Earth is effected by the angle of the Sun to the horizon only because the light from the Sun is attenuated by the atmosphere. On the Moon with no atmosphere, as long as the panel can point itself flat to the Sun's angle, the power output will be the same no matter where the Sun is overhead. If the developers knew this or took it into account, the total power generated by the panels should not vary from sunup to sundown.
The other thing being pointed in the comments about power is RL accurate. The power generated by the solar panels must exceed the power requirements of the base before the batteries will begin to charge. The time it takes for the batteries to charge depends on how much excess power is available. Whether that's true in the game is hard to tell but it seems to be the case.
Still better than some games where solar panels produce power 24/7. Planet Crafter comes to mind here.
The space elevator looks like it might be another major faux paux. I am not expecting hard science from a PC game, but it looks like that elevator is propelling itself upward using rockets or some form of on-board thruster. That would, of course, defeat the entire purpose of a space elevator. Its purpose it to remove the requirement for propulsion and fuel instead using a cable/pully/some mechanism to lift the payload without any fuel needed. Or am I missing something?
@@neocorricon I noticed that, too, but a space elevator is physically impossible to begin with unless we can come up with massless cables so I let that one slide.
Fun fact if we put an open pit mine on the moon at can have up to 1 km of dust around the moon yes it will require a couple large or a few more smaller ones to do that but can make it dangerous to land and effect equipment.
So having an underground mine makes perfect sense
@@3DPDKa space fountain is more viable from a material perspective, but is harder to keep stable.
Some sort of hybrid might work, now that I'm thinking of it...
