Thank you Jane for all of your wonderful videos. I have been binge watching them as part of my self isolation therapy during this covid-19 crisis. Looking forward to ordering some screens from you.

    Thanks Jane... appreciate your feedback.

Hi Jane... I decided to pass on buying it.
I am using the screens on clay, and found the image quality is much better on the blue mesh. The white is probably better for application on fabric I presume.
That was the only reason I wanted the blue mesh.
    Thank you again!

Question. I am a true novice at thermofax. I have several screens that I ordered from Lyric Kinard and need to tape them. I saw on one of your videos that you don't like to use duct tape on this. Lyric DOES demonstrate using duct tape on both sides. What tape do YOU use?

I discovered that strapping tape works much better than duct tape and never comes off, and is not affected by water. Here's an example so you'll know what to look for, although you can buy it locally and from many other places online. This is not an endorsement for the site, only an example of the porduct. www.fetpak.com//product_info.php?products_id=8264&gclid=EAIaIQobChMIi7CjpvG24AIVsP_jBx09pgr_EAQYAiABEgKJp_D_BwE

THANK YOU FOR RESPONDING. WE USE STRAPPING TAPE ON OUR POSTED PACKAGES...DIDN'T THINK OF IT FOR ANOTHER USE. AND THE NEXT TIME I WISH TO PURCHASE SCREENS, I WILL LOOK AT YOUR DESIGNS. I HAVE NO WISH TO MAKE THEM MYSELF. @@CreativeStrengthTraining

Hello! Is it possible to thermafax on knits? I’m a machine knitter so this could be an interesting application of natural dyes with dye thickener paste

It would break up the image based on the surface of the knit. A smooth surface is usaully a better choice. BUT it might be driven by what sort of organic "look" you are after.

@@CreativeStrengthTraining maybe a densely knit wool could be good

Hi Jane... any idea of the shelf life of the screen mesh? Someone is selling a roll of the blue mesh which is about 2 1/2 years old. It’s been stored in a cool and dark place.
    Thx! Mary

I wouldn't risk it unless it's really cheap. It may "only" be 2 1/2 years old to that seller, but it is actually much older, because the blue mesh was discontinued as a "new" product more than four years ago. Even when properly stored, it will probably delaminate fairly quickly. The white mesh is readily available and is actually a better, sturdier product.
