@@enderdragon7384 How hard (at least initially) was that thing! When I saw what they wanted me to do to beat it I was like ?!?!? (was hyped about finishing the game for the first time). But then it actually gets fun - its a cool boss
Never played R-Type Series but when I was a child I played some shooting ship games with my dad. This game is beautiful and my favourite song is "Light" every since I got addicted to its singer Mai Iida. Nice video!
This game reminds me a lot of R-Type Leo. I really enjoy the dark and brooding atmosphere of Delta and Final, but it's interesting to me for the series to sometimes go back to kinda cheery energetic themes. I'm really happy to get anything in the series after all these years, especially with the involvement of the original devs, so I'm glad we actually got this game in an era when so many crowdfunded games disappear under the radar never to appear again. It's sort of a fusion of the more traditional cheery and energetic themes of Leo with the ideas raised by Final.
I watched a video that the youtuber tell the timeline of R-Type, very cool. In R-Type Leo, He has a favorite power "GO POD!!!", when launch the pods, he scream that.
really good soundtrack, but I think the samplings are too short, they end and start looping too soon. It would've been much better if they had designed the tracks to last for the whole duration of each stage, adapting to whatever is happening at the moment.
Couldn't agree more. They did s great job remixing the dlc stage tunes whereas the main soundtrack is a bit meh. I'd be very happy if along with the option to customise the stage names and order, we could choose from some classic tunes.
Now you are about to go into the start sequence R-9Leo2 Leo II, R-9A4 Wave Master, R-9D2 Morning Star, R-9A2 Delta and RX-10 Albatross The start sequence has been completed Are you ready to take off? Good Luck!
This is a fun soundtrack, no doubt. But it lacks emotion which is disappointing. It doesn't speak to you. There's no opposition between truth and deception in it's language. R Type Final accomplishes this perfectly as you uncover the deepest darkest secrets.
não comprei o game, e nem vou comprar... fizeram o jogo correndo, joguei a demo, achei mal feito, mal otimizado, o r-tyfinal original... era muito mais ambientalizado, e também, não ta em portugues
As I was expecting, a complete let down compared to Delta and Final's soundtracks, it's not all bad, but this is all far too simplistic and upbeat for what R-Type has become, way too many generic, poppy dance beats, even the final boss music is dull. Where's the drama, the tension, the existential dread?
Its good callback to what made R-types great in the first place... Dark and broody are fine and delta/final capture that... But final 2 has a good mix of cheery and upbeat/dark and somber but hey that's just what I think if it
48:00 my favorite, definitely gets you in the mood to fight a trash slug
Indeed my friend (btw I actually play the game, it’s a little hard to get through the stage without dying from many things and that trash slug)

It's just such a beautiful song.
R-TYPE was my first game on PC-Engine console back in the 80's. Its graphic, music and design are still excellent by today's standard.
The PC Engine was a great system and that version of R-Type was outstanding.
28:13 the start of my favourite part. Got me so psyched up in game, when you're watching these new things flying at you onscreen thinking wow.

54:11 - tbh this final boss music really suitable for playing Stage 7.1 (neutral ending)
Its more of a neutral ending. You do see your fallen dead R ships
It's not a "bad" ending.
Melancholy is a part of the series. Play 3 and Delta. It's worth it.
ALL just EPIC/IMMORTAL tracks! Didn't expect that! 10!!! 👏👏👏🔥🔥🔥

@ 41:27 I hear R-Type Final (PS2)'s Stage F-A ( Baido Is... ) in Breakthrough: Defense System against Enemies
Doesn't sound like it to me. This seems more like a original theme unique to this game.
Yup, the first game's final stage

Sorry, but I needed a departure from all of that. Too bleak makes it all the more boring.

I agree but I’m grateful this project exists at all
@@darkridearts I can't argue with that.
I was thinking the same thing. R-Type final had techno music with a nice beat but it was offset by dark undertones. This game has none of that.
This is utter trash for a R-Type game !! Reminds me at times of the OST of Project X2 (and that's not a compliment) :(
