Great video like always. I only have the Dame Certified from this video. But I agree. I gave up on a lot of shoes because, I did not give them enough time. Zoom separate I feel is another for me. I'm a big guy with wide feet, but pretty nimble. So I still need great traction and willing to sacrifice a little comfort. Be blessed brother, hope fatherhood is being good to you. Salute @Tommy.

I remember the days when break in periods are kinda standard process. You gotta burn the rubber, endure blisters and callouses from the fit/materials, and that takes weeks.
Yes older models, for sure needed much more break in time. Otherwise some could be literal bricks on feet 😂 I’d be surprised often too at how nicely some of the older ones can feel once things turn around over time.
@@TommyLiu4 shoe tech really has come a long way, and these kids have it good. From cushion to uppers, most shoes are good enough to play in out of the box

Spot on on fresh foam bb v2, on first use, you can feel the elevation and be a bit worried about stability, after a couple of games, you get used to it and it’s just deliciousness from there. 😂 I have to borrow that description from you.

Love this video! I think as nice as it is for hoop shoes to be instantly broken in, it doesn't always feel like a shoe that's one to one with you when ti comes to breaking in a shoe. (Side note: I never had the OG GT Cut, but have the 2 & 3.) I think that the 2 gets a lot of unnecessary hate, and from my experience I've very much enjoyed the shoe.

What I was saying was I think shoes that take more time to break in, tend to mold to your foot more, rather than something instant/out the box. But perhaps that could be a placebo effect somewhat. 😂

The Giannis Immortality 3 has top tier traction once you brake them in. On indoor courts has a nice bite at clean courts but on dust it picked up a lot but when you keep using them onclean courts more often or dusty courts (of course it needs wiping) the traction will pick up dust less and it will still have an amazing bite plus it will sqk more overtime

Actually had the same with my yushuai 17 lows, at firat it didn't even squeak, now that i think the rubber was broken in it squeaks and has much better grip than when u first got it, i thought it was wierd, but i'm relieved you also had the same struggle at first 😂
👍 Oh true that’s one that I struggled a little bit with at first too, especially against dust I remember that super dusty court I played in them at it was meh lol. But over time that traction performance turns around nicely.
Love the Kai 1, but need to break it in more for better performance. But they limited edition, so im afraid to damage it lol. so idk

I lowkey think the new balance fresh foam bb2 traction gets way better the more you play in them. Even with dust they feel amazing

I think you mentioned in another video that the AC 12 DNA colorway was one to get because it had better traction. Is that still true for you?
Yeah that one performed a little bit better initially. But honestly over time, the differences are minimal you should be good to go with any of them I have a few pairs of the All City 12. Top notch performance.

Snug yes but no pinching for me.
Updates over time are good. Some shoes can get better and some can get worse at times

Much better than earlier retro’s for ball but still need a good amount of break in time.
