I would choose white if I want the speakers to disappear into the background. However, If the speakers are part of the decoration like a painting or plant I would prefer a rosewood finish. I will be re-evaluating the Monitor audio series with respect to my situation. I would prefer a wall hanging speaker for my 7.1 and then a 2 channel speaker for music.
I own the bronze 1's which are in the second cheapest line monitor audio got but wow, they're actually absolutely amazing for the price. They beat the zensor 1's and maybe even the zensor 3's. They can play extremely loud, up to like 108dB. They've also got some pretty impressive bass, managed to play that 35 Hz note in Icarus by Synthetic Epiphany. You should check that song out, has some really great bass. But wouldn't say can play anything below 40 Hz before it's basically inaudible. And btw those Silver 500 has 30 Hz as F3, so they'll go way below 30 Hz. They probably go down to 25 - 22 Hz not sure but they go extremely deep, got like 5 minutes to hear them at my local store. You wont be dissapointed!
@@corkydukeII5898 ive always loved polk and never had this problem with them. I own the polk 550t and they are still the best sounding speaker that I have ever heard.

On screen, the natural oak looks great. I would sencond the gloss white if you are not color-matching with oak furniture and want them to disappear into the background. White also gives you a more spacious feel.

I just picked up a pair of Polk lsim707s because u said how good they are and now u go and get monitor audio. 😅 But it's all good. I have owned the monitor audio silver rx8s for 2 years now and they are phenomenal all around. Great choices sir!!!!!
@@Kpaceguy oh man I'm getting the Lsim 707 delivered today to replace my Monitor Audio s8 that have owned for 10 years. Great sounding speakers. But I'm going to use the Lsim 707 as my mains and moving the Monitor audio's to the rear surrounds in a 5.1 set up. Also picked up the Lsim 706c for center. The silver center speaker was lacking for home theater use.
Previous generation Silver 10 has white woofers and they look beautiful. They decided to go with grey woofers with this new 500 and it does not look as attractive as the 10.
You're probably making a good choice. I've heard the M.A. 'Silver' line is outstanding. (AND glad to hear you stayed away from Polk....they're such a 'cliche' speaker these days...)

@@Kpaceguy i really liked the 10s, the 500s i heard did not impress me (same room and amp but had not been broken in yet) i would check out the focal aria 948s if you can. you can find them for 3k if you look around. Personally i like the mids and highs and soundstaging on the arias better but the MAs have more (maybe not better) bass.

Monitor Audio is a fantastic choice, I’m considering those myself, you’ll know after setup, Speakers have to fit a room like hand in glove

Finally someone that doesn’t just go with klipsch/svs. I’m digging it👌
Someone's gotta be different! Lol
I’ve never understood the klipsch hype. They sound way cold and in movies they can get ear piercing on higher pitched voices.
Yeah, and Polk....another super common choice along with Klipsch

Hello, What is your opinion on MA PL100II and 200II speakers? Do you think that they are a bit on the dark side or warm side of neutral? Thanks.
I hated the new theme first time I heard it. Second time not so bad! It will grow on me I think.
Awesome speakers - but expensive. Still.... good choice I think.
We will find out soon, huh! Haha
