      When you say ‘best selling’ do you mean simply quantity of knives or are you referring to total dollar volume?

      My favorite knife that I got in 18 was the 0462 for me it's my go to fishing knife. I did also pick up a natrix with copper handles for an EDC. I think we all buy a knife for a specific use or set of uses and of course the biggest reason I want it. But I would have liked the option to get the copper natrix with a 3.25 - 3.5 blade. Who's with me on that one.

    I purchased 14 knives from Knife Center this year.
    - Spyderco Ronin 2 Fixed
    - Spyderco Native 5 S90V Knife Center Exclusive
    - Kershaw 8320 Outright
    - Ontario 2quared
    - Spyderco Dragonfly 2 ZDP-189
    - Spyderco Perrin PPT
    - Hiroaki Ohta FK7 Friction Folder in Carbon Fiber
    - Camillus 19144 Tyrant
    - Spyderco Mamba
    - Spyderco EuroEdge
    - Artisan Cutlery Apache
    - WE Knife 802FB Vindex Fixed Blade
    - Buck 113 Skinner
    - Artisan Cutlery Immortal in Carbon Fiber
    It's a really tough choice for 2018 just from that list alone, but I'd probably havre to go with the Mamba as the one I'm the happiest to have snagged before it was discontinued. As far as the one I use the most that would be the DragonFly 2 ZDP-189 because it's on my key chain. Fixed blade wise I am currently EDC'ing the Buck 113 Skinner and overall I'd say the one I used the most and was most surprised about was the Ontario 2quared.
    2019 continues the obsession.

    I can’t believe the serrated hawk Bill from Spyderco sells much. That’s hard to believe. I’ve never known anyone to buy one and nobody on Instagram is taking pics of it.

    My favorite purchase from you folks in 2018 was the WE Knives ‘Double Helix’ / Model 815(f)
    Innovative mechanics; top notch materials; WE quality. Hard to go wrong with any WE knife

    Those are some nice looking knives and I would love to own some of them, especially the new Buck 110 automatic knife. I have the original 110 and love it. The company produces some great knives, but their quality isn't as great as it use to be, in my opinion.

    The ZT was nice looking, however, the single-sided scale loses my purchase every time.

    Buck upped their game? Good to see them run away from that 420 nail clipper steel.

    • @aw9389
      @aw9389 5 років тому

      They used 440c with bos heat treat. I'm personally not a fan of buck knives but that's a decent steel.

    • @gavocrazy
      @gavocrazy 5 років тому +1

      Bucks 420HC is not nail clipper steel. Don't associate it with Chinese no name gas station knives. Buck has the Bos heat treat down pat, and for the price, makes their knives unparalleled. I often reach for my buck a lot more than I will one of my other knives with the super steels. I find it holds an edge just as good as the others, far better than its price range would lead you to believe. Don't dog Buck, they've been making knives for a long time, and doing it RIGHT. There's a reason they're still kicking

      @@gavocrazy Couldn't have said it better myself! With the Bos heat treat, 420HC will perform on par with some other higher priced steels.

    I don't think I would have named that Gerber flatiron if you gave me 1,000 guesses. You couldn't pay me to carry that. But I guess that's what makes this hobby so interesting.

    I bought a Buck 110 on one of my orders from Knife Centre in 2018 and was disappointed to find a couple of issues with it.
    It's just the standard version with wooden scales. The hinge and back lock at the hinge end were gunged up with black, powdery deposits, probably polishing compound and dust. This made the opening and closing action gritty and nasty. Also, the blade is poorly centered between the scales when closed, so much so that the gap on one side is so close that a piece of copy paper will not slide in! On the other side the gap is about 2mm. Knife Centre offered to exchange it if I returned it, but being in the UK that isn't viable due to the cost of return shipping. I did flush all the gunk out of the hinge and it does operate more smoothly now but that is pretty shoddy for a knife with this reputation for quality. So, I guess I'm stuck with a poor quality example, a shame because I was looking forward to having a 110 in my collection.

      Fat Guy Outdoors no shit huh? When Ganzo starts using S30,35, or 154, benchie will lose sales. An hopefully lower prices to a reasonable level. 🔪🔪🇺🇸

    That ZT is FUGLY, I hope they move away from that style. I like the Ken Onion and Hinderer ZTs more. In Fact my 0562 and 0350 are in the mail, they'll keep my 0566 company.

    Why does Benchmade keep putting their " Penis clip" on their knives? I called Benchmade and had them send me different pocket clips every time I bought a knife with that horrible clip. Even the lady at Benchmade talked about how many ppl hate that clip. But Benchmade has always given me excellent customer service. I'm grateful for that!
