    With Rithmic you can see the whole book. They also offer MBO data. Ability to see the large individual resting orders is helpful. Until CQG offers MBO, Rithmic wins hands down. Just make sure your platform has the ability to display more than 10 levels on each side to take full advantage.

    Hey Korbs, Ron here from CT... Your journey sounds so familiar, lol. I must have said that a hundred times over the last year or so that I've been watching your channel.
    Pulling all nighters, trading multiple markets, all sorts of data feeds, chart full of indicators, the works!
    After several thousand hours of chasing my tail, I took a step back, threw it all out, and just went bare bones... My trading improved 100x almost instantly.
    I was just looking up CQG when I noticed you had a video on it.... I trade with a prop firm and word on the street is, they do something with CQG, which I've heard would make it so we could use TradingView instead of NinjaTrader & Rithmic. I've been trying to wrap my head around what the heck CQG is and how it would enable us to use TV instead of these legacy dinosaurs..... Now I understand! =)
    Personally I love TradingView and use it for my personal account.... The data feed for Futures is a nominal $4/month.... Regardless, trading Futures without real time data would be a death sentence.....
    Cheers!

      CQG using Tradingview data? Is that real?

    • @ronredmond
      @ronredmond 9 місяців тому

      This feels like it was a decade ago. I don't use or care about indicators and real time data these days. Just a consistently profitable, minimalist, price action, swing trader. Wish I kept it this simple from the beginning. @@jccgold

    Do you offer a paid course/mentorship? All I see in your website is that free training button.
    I'm actually deciding between you and Trader Dale. I'm willing to pay to go beyond these free videos you put out (which are great btw).

      Yes, I offer a full development program called Profile Method. You can look exactly what's included here: www.tradacc.com/demo-optin/
      On the same page you'll find a button to schedule a call with my team to learn more about pricing and enrollment options.

    The price for the data feeds are very different from vendor to vendor.
    I am surprised you were paying a $100 for DTN, I thought they were cheaper.
    I use CQG because I don't have access to other data feed vendors that Tradovate can support.
    I believe what matters is whether you trade through the DOM.
    I believe Denali for Sierra charts is superior to all of the others.
    Great video.
    Cheers

    There are so many issues with these semi-professional data providers. My rithmic just can't handle high traffic and they don't care. Always giving me time-out message. There's compatibility issues with platforms, among many others. They just don't care if retail trader has any issues as long as they can make $ from institutions.

    • @korbstrading
      @korbstrading  3 роки тому

      Interesting to hear that perspective. Are you still using Rithmic? And have you tried IQ?

    • @Gindaman999
      @Gindaman999 3 роки тому +1

      @@korbstrading No, only Rithmic, but I’m sure you know how the customer service of some of these trading vendors can be. I use Rithmic because of price and they offer full depth for limit orders (I need them for my heatmap). I have a ethernet connection to 1Gbps internet and my computer has 16gb ram with a decent CPU, there’s no way it’s coming from my end. There might be a platform issue, but I have no way to fix it either. When there are traffic, the tick data just can’t keep up, I even opt for the aggregated data.

    Thanks Korbs. Another great video that helps with the real issues that traders have to deal with!
    So I'm guessing you use the combination of AMP as your broker, CQG as your data provider and Sierra Charts as your platform? If yes, that's a great combo.
    I've also been hearing about Sierra's Denali data feed. Have you tried that too? Would really help to know how well Denali works with AMP + Sierra combination, and if there's an added benefit in your experience given the additional costs.
    Cheers Korbs

      Kinetics is actually DTN's IQFeed, but rebranded. And, you don't get the instant customer support that DTN offers. Other than that, Kinetic works just as good as DTN's IQFeed.

    Hey Korbs, you ask for comments and yet you ignore or delete them. So I’m not sure why you post the best and the worst out there. You never replied to my question about Level1 and f it’s enough for Orderflow or Footprint or one needs both level1 and level2. I hope it doesn’t go into the trash in this time. I’m using ninja trader and thinking of getting CQG data feed for Orderflow and chart analysis and trade NAS 100 and sp500 on mt4

    You must have not really used Rithmic, otherwise, believe me you WILL notice a HUGE difference. Rithmic data is so laggy at the US open for NQ, the instrument becomes not tradeable and you will end up loosing money.

      For volume profile you need tick by tick. L2 is the order book. So you will need it for DOM or order heat map (like book map)

    Folks, let me introduce you to the poster child of the 99% of people who lose their money trying to trade when the only qualification they have is the ability to click a mouse. Or perhaps it is even worse than that. This is the poster child of the youtuber who has never made a single trade and puts company brand names and other search terms in the titles to drive traffic to completely useless content. How do you quantify good data versus bad data? Where is your analysis that compares these data streams and discusses why one is better than another? What criterion should be used in selecting a data provider? You didn't even mention the word latency in the entire discussion. I can't believe someone hasn't ripped this guy yet. I guess today I am in the mood to do it.
