- Sonny spent the best part of the 1960s travelling the high roads and by-roads of Ireland playing to packed ballrooms from Cork to Carndonagh. It was the dawn of cabaret in Ireland and the start of Sonny's amazing career as one of Ireland's biggest stars.
He held the top spot on the cabaret circuit until the late 1990s when the world of pub and club entertainment began to change once more.

A lovely Song .I first heard this on an Ed Ames LP i got from America years ago.
Sonny as always does justice to a greatd song. But thats Sunny he should have been know world wide,not just to the Irish Fans.

Georgina I don't know him personally , but when I put these videos up about 6 years ago his grandson commented on one of them saying thank you for making the videos and his granddad would be thrilled, as far as I know Sonny is well but taking it easy now.... thank you for your comment..
