Omg yes i hate the feel of valvet. Tho whenever i go out and see something in velvet i cant resist to touch it to remind myself why i hate it. Wore smt made out of a few years ago and nothing was ever THAT itchy, sweaty and just uncomfortable
I have major sensory issues with anything velvety and just watching this makes my hands feel horrible weird... but y'all are funny so I still watched it
I understand that one! I, for some reason, feel that I physically cannot breathe when I touch anything flocked/velvety. Not like an anxiety feeling, but like my diaphragm literally freezes. Never figured out why that is.
How weird, I have major sensory issues too but feel most comfortable in Lycra or velvet. I have so many embossed velvet dresses I wear to stim with haha Not calling you weird, it's just amazing all the different kinds of neurodiversity around :)
Okay, grandma is absolutely precious! My grandma would have loved this! She flocked so many Christmas ornaments in her day. I will warn you, after about 20 years, flocking starts shedding and it’s slightly disturbing to witness… especially when it’s a flocked nativity scene and its faces losing their flocking.
So excited guys! So happy you had this stashed away. Looks cozy! It's giving me ideas because green velvet is part of my houses aesthetic. Though getting a long-haired cat may put a crimp in that. Interested in seeing how long it handles Jube hanging around.
in my experience with having velvet on the inside of my violin case and my cat sometimes sleeping in it,, it is pretty easy to just swipe your hand over it and the hair easily bunches up and you can pick it up in clumps the only thing is that if it's the flocking (and not velvet fabric) it gets sort of greyish dirty much more easily. but i never had that problem with velvet
I, as everyone else, am in LOVE with granny ♥♥♥ She was the most wholesome part in this video and it made me realise how much I loved my grandmother when she was still around

For anyone curious, I have flocked my nails before (only one of each hand, as a little detail) and it looked really cool! Weird but cool. But it was some eight years ago and with a nail-appropriate thingy
1. I LOVE YOUR GRANNY SHES SO PRECIOUS 2. omg you should totally do velvet nails! however i think you should flock press ons since it takes forever to dry and we dont know if its safe, otherwise IM OBSESSED WITH THE IDEA AHHH if only i had the ability to do that lol
the fact I'm watching this is serious proof of how much I love you guys, seeing as I'm absolutely repulsed by anything velvety or flocked. the texture just makes me super uncomfortable
Now I really want one. (My grandparents had the flocking tubes when I was a kid. I didn’t know what it was for, but they were fun to play with, even without flocking.)
This is flocking great! However, what if you are like me and need to see what some of the key's are? A little tip, you can just dip/roll the key in the flocking dust because you kinda want to press the flocking into the paint, not just sprinkle it on. Faster too

this keyboard would be a nightmare for me since I can’t stand the feeling of velvet, but the end result really looks so nice and luxurious it almost made me want it haha
Sammmeeeee!!
Velvet is bad touch
Omg yes i hate the feel of valvet. Tho whenever i go out and see something in velvet i cant resist to touch it to remind myself why i hate it. Wore smt made out of a few years ago and nothing was ever THAT itchy, sweaty and just uncomfortable
I hate hate hate the feel of velvet. It sticks to my skin like when you're trying to peel velcro apart slowly.
Same, a friend of mine and I as well don't like the texture of snow. Any of yall have the same dislike?
oh my gosh, seeing the fam's reactions was so cute. Their southern accents are *chef kiss*
First of all, your granny seems adorable. Second of all, we need more Katelyn's Dad content xD
That hole-in-one joke with the space bar made me actually cackle out loud 😂 ⛳
OMG, I've had an idea to use flocking for a while and I didn't know how to do it or where to find the color I wanted. This was perfect!
Died of laugher at the “congratulations you played yourself” 🤣
Epic intro. Oh yeah great job on the keyboard too 😆
I have major sensory issues with anything velvety and just watching this makes my hands feel horrible weird... but y'all are funny so I still watched it
I understand that one! I, for some reason, feel that I physically cannot breathe when I touch anything flocked/velvety. Not like an anxiety feeling, but like my diaphragm literally freezes. Never figured out why that is.
I hate touching velvet as well! I can just feel it ind my hands and flinch my wholy body. Ugh. Still watched the video
@@Picometer1 It's called haptodysphoria apparently, I consider it a form of sensory overstimulation but basically it makes me want to break my hands 😶
How weird, I have major sensory issues too but feel most comfortable in Lycra or velvet. I have so many embossed velvet dresses I wear to stim with haha
Not calling you weird, it's just amazing all the different kinds of neurodiversity around :)
I need more granny approval for projects, she sounds so sweet! Please tell her we love her 🥺
So excited guys! So happy you had this stashed away. Looks cozy! It's giving me ideas because green velvet is part of my houses aesthetic. Though getting a long-haired cat may put a crimp in that. Interested in seeing how long it handles Jube hanging around.
in my experience with having velvet on the inside of my violin case and my cat sometimes sleeping in it,, it is pretty easy to just swipe your hand over it and the hair easily bunches up and you can pick it up in clumps
the only thing is that if it's the flocking (and not velvet fabric) it gets sort of greyish dirty much more easily. but i never had that problem with velvet
Me: I'll just watch this resin video
Me 3 hours later: I'll just watch this velvet keyboard video
Also I'm sitting here rewinding the video like "what was that next step??" like I'm really going to do this...
I might do this
I, as everyone else, am in LOVE with granny ♥♥♥ She was the most wholesome part in this video and it made me realise how much I loved my grandmother when she was still around
Evan: **asks for funnel**
Katelyn: **offers funnel**
Evan: **rejects funnel**
I wheezed 😂
No you didn’t I didn’t
@@yassnation3967 tf? So what?
Most men will prefer to do things without help if they can. (myself included)
@@holynder3181 cool.
For a moment I thought this comment said "offers funeral"
This reminds me of the theme of my grandmas funeral because it was velvet and it was just yesterday aka 1/18/22 so yea my eyes hurt from crying so much because once they lowerd her casket i just broke out into tears
Awesome project! And aww I love the family part but the reaction from Granny was the cutest and melted my heart!
I have to look SOMETIMES just to get my bearings while typing, but I did type this entire sentence without looking. I'm with Katelyn, you have to glance from time to time
Just wanna say that your granny has such a wonderful southern accent! I love it!
Flocking is also used on a car’s dashboard mainly “race cars” to prevent glare from the sun and dashboard
Still my favorite UA-cam channel ❤️ I'm so happy I found yall
I am so glad that I found you wonderful people and your amazing channel! You are my new feel good movie 😍
omg Evan revealing the letters still show for Katelyn and her being super excited just made me wanna squish them both in my arms they're so freaking cute together *GRRRR*
For anyone curious, I have flocked my nails before (only one of each hand, as a little detail) and it looked really cool! Weird but cool. But it was some eight years ago and with a nail-appropriate thingy
I remember! But it would also get really dirty
This is so great! But imagine...a velvet keyboard; a piano keyboard. Oh the possibilities!
Evan and Katelyn: *spend days making a project to show us*
The Audience: I love your granny!
1. I LOVE YOUR GRANNY SHES SO PRECIOUS
2. omg you should totally do velvet nails! however i think you should flock press ons since it takes forever to dry and we dont know if its safe, otherwise IM OBSESSED WITH THE IDEA AHHH if only i had the ability to do that lol
I'm a nail tech and artist...flocking powder is often used for design 😅 we use gel polish, sprinkle flocking, and cure! Then brush off excess lol
the fact I'm watching this is serious proof of how much I love you guys, seeing as I'm absolutely repulsed by anything velvety or flocked. the texture just makes me super uncomfortable
I’m *SO* glad I’m not the only one.
Watching this made me nauseous, but also made me laugh. It was like a comedic horror movie.
Faster too
Velvet is something I have a very strong, negative sensory reaction to, but I watch for Evan and Katelyn
