I’m late by months, but I think the scrapped one could fit. Think about it- This sounds heroic, which usually won’t fit for a villain like chaos king. But he thinks what he’s doing is “right and for his people.” Hence he says ‘To my people, I am a hero. But to you? I’M THE BAD GUY!’ That’s my take.
We are 100% going to hear this song again. Mark my words this will be the final boss theme in some way shape or form, maybe a little remixed but this will come back. Toby is just known for reusing songs in the best way possible.
Wow. I like this. The chorus sounds like it is from Roasting Rails from Donkey Kong Country Returns, the drums sound like they're from Pokemon's Arceus battle, and the melody gives off the vibes of this one Deltarune fan song "Goat Chase". (This is a really weird compliment)
I think this is really awesome. While I prefer the version used in the finished game, this is still great. Hope you produce more stuff like this in the future.
I can see why it's unused. Well if the Undertale motif was in the original i can see why including it in there would be confusing as all hell. But i really like it, whole different vibe than the one he went with and i really like both of them
Thanks! I mainly just recreate UT/DR tracks for fun lol, which I've done for about 3 years now. Everything I know about composition (as much as a remix with no original melodies counts), I've taught myself through recreating.

This sounds more "Final Boss-y" than the used version, maybe that's why it was scrapped.
