Do a video on the ww&f railway in main
I’ve always wanted to go up there! It’ll definitely be a future video!
I would change the definition of narrow gauge railroads between 600 MM and 1000 MM.
Very good video, and I like the history recap. However, their is a bit of an error when it comes to the locomotives' current ownership. The Editville railroad no longer owns any of the original Maine 2 foot steam locomotives. Around the 80s or 90s, the original Editville railroad shut down, and most of the locomotives,#3,4,7, and 8, and cars were acquired by Maine narrow gauge railroad, and one locomotive, #10, and some cars went to the Wasasset waterdeville and farmington, narrow gauge railway. The current Editville railroad was rebuilt and uses locomotives and cars that I believe were custom-built for the new railroad. However, the Maine narrow gauge railroad does send its locomotives down to Editville once in a while for a visit. As well as for occasional visits to the Wasasset Waterville and Farmington railway.
Ah i see. I found that confusing when I was reading the history, thanks for the clarification!
We grew up going to Edaville. We’re about 25 minutes away. It’s been a great “day” for 4 generations of our family. After they closed and the trains went home I’m just thankful it came back to be!
I would define standard gauge railroads between 1067 and 1435.
If I were to build a 2 foot narrow gauge railroad, I would Build a dinner car a baggage car a dining car a lunch car an economy class car a cafe car a snack car and a refreshment car for the Narrow gauge railroads between 500 MM and 1000 MM.
I bet they used to have those, just lost in all the closures and abandonments
Nice video! I'll be up in Portland in about a week and a half and I'll have to check this out!
Definitely take a look at it! It runs Wednesday through Saturday
@@conorontherailsyou should also check out the WW&F which runs on 3.4 miles of rebuilt trackage on part of the original WW&F railroad grade.
That is a 2-4-4 Mason Bogie, Right?
Nope, it’s a 2-4-4T Foreny type
