For those of you that have commented in the comments section regarding lifetime licenses and lifetime license holders, and the whole fiasco surrounding this, as of a few days ago, Filmora reversed that decision courtesy of the millions of angry customers in the community and Daniel Batal. So if you’ve held a lifetime licence previously, you’ll be guaranteed to be able to upgrade to Filmora 12 and further for free.

Will someone please confirm if I understand correctly that the new export option; "Compression Quality" setting of "None" means no additional video compression upon export. The Low, Medium, and High modes add compression. Is this correct? I tested export in both modes. The size and bitrate were the same.
Also, for max quality, I aways set the bit rate to CBR (Constant Bit rate). This will is higher quality than VBR. Correct?
Hello all. I am currently looking at using a video editor for the first time to start creating/uploading training videos to UA-cam. I was considering Camtasia but I don't want to spend alot. I don't plan on doing anything too fancy, not even splitting screens with my camera. I plan to mostly show my computer screen with either pdf and/or powerpoint presentations while narrating it. Now looking at Filmora. Your opinion?
Hey Marvin, how are doing? I would personally recommend CapCut. It's one of the best video editors right now, and absolutely for free. It has the PC and the Mobile versions as well. It has even more options than you will need. Have a nice day!
Big fan of your videos. Can you help me with something. I am using animation effect on photos: Fade Zoom in, Zoom out or Fade Slide 1-4. But there is one second at the start and at the end of the animation when it's black screen. Can I do such zoom in/out or Slide animations without that blackness?

The difference between 11 and 12 is large. 12 is much more responsive and bug free in the time i have used it.

Hi, I tried getting a reply from Wondershare help but no luck... For some reason when saving a project Filmora can't access my folders. Not the C drive, not any other drive including memory stick. Everything else is working fine but it's impossible to save a new or old project. Have you come across this kind of thing? The warning message says 'Failed to save project file. You may choose a new path, fix the write permission or free up disk space and try again'. There's lots of space on my drives and altering permissions doesn't help either. Any idea of what's going on please?

Sorry to rain down on your Filmora 12 tutorial, I can not even follow your explanation since Filmora decided to cancel the lifetime licenses like me and other thousands of users did to support Wondershare to reach where they are now... I know you don't have anything to do with this mess they started, but I sure feel sorry for you since you are caught between Wondershare and angry users like me. Hopefully your UA-cam channel will survive the negative image Wordershare is getting in Social media....

I’ve learned how to add text on my videos. When i export the video it has another text at the start of the video with the file name eg… myvideo mp4. Is there a way of stopping it appearing in the video during editing?
You have to hide or delete the text clip showing such piece of text.

I can't find Elements on the toolbar in the new update. There used to be an arrow at the end of it that gave you option of Elements and Split Screen, and now that's gone. I have a favorited element that I used at the end of every video I make for my boss' UA-cam channel and now I can't get to it. Someone please help!!!!

With the way Filmora is treating lifetime license holders there is no reason to continue using the product. Do some videos on Davinci, it’s less bubblegum and more serious. After all even Hollywood production studios use Davinci for color correction.
Hey Filmora, nice product but TERRIBLE treatment of your longtime LIFETIME license holders. Did we all die? Lifetime means lifetime, not until you decide you want to change terms of something we bought back in version 8. Users beware. This company will screw you over!! The software can't hold a candle to Divinci, which is free, and SOOO many more features. Definitely use something else.
Watch updates on UA-cam from a few days ago. Particularly from Daniel Batal who posted a video on this a couple days ago. Needless to say, spoiler alert, Filmora reversed that decision.

I think you bought filmora 11, i almost bought the same. Ask for a refund and search for filmora 12.
I suggest a refund. This platform is about to get sued.
You can upgrade to Filmora 12 for free if you have just bought version 11.
If you haven't used such software before it just moves too fast...you need to try things out at the baby steps level, not just roar along like you are a professional already.

My goal with this program is to remain positive, but the more I try, the clearer it becomes that it is an extortion scheme. I have paid $84+ and for the videos that I have been able to create, one, the damn program will not allow me to remove the watermarks. Each time I attempt to use the program, it informs me that I must purchase it. I am directed to a different page each time I attempt to contact the support group. After 22 years of active duty service, I have been forced to return to school, and this program was designed to assist me in presenting school projects. As a consequence, it is a hit-and-miss process that does not allow me to perform my duties effectively. Oh, but if I try to purchase another product, they quickly open the floodgates for me to waste my money on another product. This is a complete fraud, a swindle!

This software has too huge effect pack more than 45 gigs if you download them all. that will consume memory . Not effective and efficient at all.

If You have a lifetime License DO NOT upgrade or update to 12. They are cancelling Lifetime Licenses. Just don't this company has just gotten horrible and if you read the new EULA they can decide to charge you for anything they want too. But this comment will likely be deleted soon.
They just reversed their decision after the pr nightmare, all lifetime licensee will from now on be getting filmora 12, 13, 14 for free
