Very nice office indeed! Just curious, are there any core software development done in London office? Or London office is only for external supporting tasks and sales only?
Hello. I am currently having problems with my UA-cam account. The videos and content in my account is not refreshing and all my watch history is outdated. How do I get the latest trending videos on UA-cam such as technology, entertainment, fashion, gaming, business etc. Can you confirm if my account has been hacked or if my codes have been swapped?
Hey there,I’ve just failed my employment assessment test(I’ve only got 55 percent for it ,as a new requirement is 85 to get a job as a translator on Google/ and utube;in 5 min I had to listen to about 25 quite long audios without any chance of repeating those,as the questions that I would get were really what you won’t expect of getting at all, while 5 years ago it was more about the quality rather then speed…but I am glad that your day looks so well-organised and stress free…Looking forward to see what’s the average translator/or interpreter day is like for those who work remotely for Google and is it worth it trying again?
looking forward to see your laid off video. I swear if it weren't for all the bogus meetings and teleconferences, where nothing of real value is ever done, actual quantifiable "work" would be less than 2 hours.
Kinda sad since I had the trip booked to visit the London office, but COVID cancelled the trip for me. Looking forward to the visit soon. Cheer from the ZRHF :)
Hey Harbir - welcome to the channel, your press-up channel looks super impressive! I don't know about the program manager role in particular, but I do know that Google/UA-cam have had a growing health focus, so your background could fit in really well. DM me if there's any roles you're looking at in particular and I'll see if I can help more.
Thank you Haris - a lovely comment. Honestly each day varies quite a lot, but generally a mix of meals, meetings and meet-ups aha! Working hours are kind of standard 9-5 (but there's variation when I come in and out and some days I might finish at say 4 to go to the office gym) and Mon/Fri are WFH.
Great video! Is the fire alarm thing a regular part of Google London? I had my phone screen interview with a software engineer from London and suddenly the fire alarm started blaring xD
Wow so much hate on the comment section. If you feel what he did is easy. Than try to apply google yourself and get the work. I know people work only 1 h a day and earn million a month even more with more benefit. You can say they just get lucky, but have you try find out what they do and how they get that work? Its either the short hour work achieve so much result as it brain intensive work or, he/she is the family of the stock holder
There's a tonne of internship opportunities in business and technical roles, I think it's Jan and June when the internships often start, checkout careers.google.com and filter by internships for more insight!
Following the ownership change at Twitter, people are looking at these 'day in the life of a [insert big tech company] employee' videos, with a fresh pair of eyes. What some people are seeing is a culture of unskilled, work-shy, spoiled, petulant, wokeists who have no clue about what a day of REAL work looks like. Some people see these kinds of videos as being people like you essentially just rubbing other people's noses in it. I would worry that you are ultimately making yourself unemployable by posting this kind of content. I have two questions for you? One: Do you think that you are bringing good value to your employer or the marketplace more generally? Two: Would you personally employ somebody to hang around gyms, sipping soy lattes and treating the place like a holiday camp?

Man you work for a really great company, but the office seems like a waste of time. You’ve got all these distractions and it takes so much time to get there.
I definitely think having the ability to be able to decide when to work from home is something I’d like for sure, but as far as offices go all the niceties and perks make it an enjoyable place to be vs say generic cubicles! Plus the journey time does massively depend on where you live (there’s like 5 offices in London for example)
The worst part is he genuinely believes he deserves all these luxuries. These aren't "perks" as he calls it, this is all inclusive luxury resort treatment. All that's missing is the pool.
@@Paul-km9ox Paul at what point in your life did you decide to be hurtful? What a beautiful office you guys have. Everything seems super cozy and chill, lovely.
It’s not bad huh!
This didn't age well.
OMG the office is amazing!!! The food options look so good too, I'm jealous!!
I love the google office features. Wish one day I can work there. It might be not possible. But love to wish
Any video with a clip of that scene of the office gets an automatic like haha. Amazing video Charles! The content is only getting better and better
Appreciate the love my dude 🙏
I ll join this office next year for sure.
Lovely tour of the office! Those meals looked incredible!
Thanks Shaun - certainly a great perk of the job!

A cool look behind the scenes!

Were u impacted by layoffs?
I can see why Google fired 12,000 people.
Awesome video, love to see the channel grow! :)
Working hard to work at Google as a Data Scientist ;)
Thank you - you totally got this, if you want a hand with the application drop me a DM on Twitter!

Usually about a 25min commute!

Kings Cross is such a lush area of London!
So before you were just laid off, did you ever do any actual work?
Lots of meeting so everyone could pad out their schedule. Meeting where nothing actionable that helped the company make revenue was ever resolved.

Yup - everything!
