In this video I set up camp with my new tent I bought at a thrift store for $3. That's right, three dollars. I love to buy hunting and camping gear at thrift stores. I also bought my Vortex Bino Harness seen in the video at a thrift store for $12.
I fill up my air mattress with a battery powered air pump and rig a tarp over my tent with bungie cords attached to a tree and stakes in the ground.
I use a Silky Pocket Boy hand saw to cut some kindling and firewood. I go for a quick scouting trip and get a beautiful sunset view.
I use a folding Sterno Stove and my old boy scout stainless steel mess kit to cook up some top ramen noodle soup over a can of Sterno fuel. I also heat up some fried chicken.
I then sit by the fire for a little mukbang with me eating my soup and chicken while I talk about my scouting for elk and hunting plans for the next day.
I then take you on my hunting adventures where I hike through a swamp, blackberries and along logging roads and national forest trails in search of my quarry, the roosevelt bull elk, in all its glory.
Sign we did see, elk droppings, tracks and the dropping of an unidentifield mammal-- was it Bigfoot / Sasquatch?
I see two bull elk during the second morning of my hunt. But alas they were out of reach for me, since they were hanging in someone else's camp.

Hello, I live in Oregon, so it was a fairly inexpensive two day hunt for me. My total cost was under $350. I spent one night camping and one night in a hotel because it started pouring rain. Resident hunting license and elk tak was $84, cheap hotel was about $105, gas was probably $80 including traveling from home to hunting area. Maybe $50 on food and stuff. I am not counting the cost of rifle, ammo and other hunting and camping gear of course.

Where abouts were you hunting at. What unit ? I hunt elk by myself as well most of the time .
