i knowww i 100% agree with you. this was our first video and we were too nervous to film inside these cafes LOL hence why we opted to do take aways for all our videos
I used to go out for coffee but since around 2009 when I bought my first coffee machine I have not bought a coffee from a local cafe. I just tried different beans from different roasters. It is much cheaper to make you own and I enjoy the process of making the coffee myself.
did you end up buying an espresso machine? We are now in a small town in Canada and coffee isn't the best here so we ended up getting brikka to make coffee at home. it's decent espresso but always missed having lattes in australia
@@MarkandElly_eats Yes, in my first stab in the world of coffee machine I had a jura automatic machine. Then in about 6 years ago I moved to a semi automatic machine, a year ago I went with a E61 single grouphead semi auto machine with flow control and temperature control. I have a dedicated grinder. A lot of people in my work place are also into coffee. There are a lot of Australian coffee forum where I bought and tried a lot of different beans. After all these years it become very easy to be picky on the quality of latte when our bosses often volunteer to buy the coffee after a hard day of project works.
@@MarkandElly_eats different person but also a melbourne coffee nerd 😄 i can recommend the cafelat robot, it's zero maintenance and makes really good espresso. you just need a milk frother if you want latte style milk. i use the nanofoamer. as far as melbourne coffee goes baba budan is still my favourite.
Looks like I have some new places to try, thanks for the review :)
melbourne's coffee scene changes quickly and we filmed this about 2 years ago :/ LOL I hope they are still great!
You've gonna try Coffee Supreme. They are the best.
honestly, never heard of this place. how does it compare to other places in the city?
Can't believe Quist coffee is still going. I grew up with them.
oh I miss Melbourne coffee
It really is the best
I wish I could taste those coffee someday soon.
ONE DAY!!! 😄😄 its going to happen! manifest it!
Why did you get them all in takeaway cups? Coffee in a mug tastes far better. Baristas pour the milk more carefully and the milk has a better texture.

@@jliang70 our main concern was the maintenance part of it. does it cost a lot of money to keep a machine at home?
