I really enjoy your videos. You explain your work VERY nicely and you are very humble about it. Your knives are second to none with awesome craftsmanship. Please keep the vids coming as I am positive everyone that watches them enjoy them as much as I do.

That's awesome. U make it look so easy. I'm in the long drawn out process of making a knife for a guy because I have 2 jobs and I really wanna do dovetail bolsters and pummels and really wasn't sure how to approach it. So this video shed some great light for me. Thanks so much

@@DIYeasycrafts well, I've only made one knife so far and you have more and better equipment that I have, but at least now I have better knowledge and that's what I appreciate. It all comes in time and I understand that. I just like to let guys like you know that guys like me are paying attention and that you are making a difference.

Great video Dan; I always learn something with your videos! Making bolsters straight is hard enough, let alone throwing a dovetail element in there. I think it's worth noting how difficult it is to get the grinds on the bolsters and the scales to match up freehanding on the disc sander. They have a tendency to walk a bit leaving them slightly rounded; the same can happen with the scales. Very very nicely done!

Thanks Mike. I usually just leave the back edge factory cut. This way I dont have to worry about grinding the brass at a perfect 90 degrees.

    Dan,
I do love your precision as the final finish looks really good. Do you ever do pommels?
