I found the Pits a horrible place to be as a lower level person, I found even in Fields 1 or 2 I was being defeated and losing what I had mined by people using your strategy who were usually way stronger than me. The strategy you mention works great when you are strong, or have developed your troops effectively (which I didn't due to not knowing what I was doing). I started experimenting with recalling my troops once I hit 40k (the point at which I was robbed) and moving to an empty section. My other strategy was to recall once the section filled up and moving to an empty one...this has worked really well and was able to get the 3 level 3 modules (100k each to buy) in a couple of days and only using field 1 where as previously I was getting nowhere. Hard being at the bottom and this game punishes the weak and rewards the strong....maybe others will find one of these two strategies helpful as they build up their own troops and might.
You make a lot of great points! I have been playing for a while and am well developed so some of the tips aren't going to work as well for newer sanctuaries. Thank you for pointing out what has worked for you in those situations! Very helpful and informative.
I know it's been a while since you posted, but pit level 1 you should be able to gather protected and no be able to be raided. I think level 1 is protected.

I had wondered about that... Makes sense that there is a place for those starting out to at least have a chance. Most higher level players will steal your pit if you are down to an hour left, so if you are moving before then you are usually safe.
@@kingofzed7558 definitely! I always try to collect when I get close to full. It's not so fun always staying up on it but I usually only get stolen when I'm close to maxing out the gather. And I rarely ever steal anyone with more than 2 hours time left. Lol. Only if I am in a hurry.

Awesome! So glad to hear it helps! I just got a tip I didnt know about from MoneyChanger in state 102(I think) he said the skull icon over the pit can help you determine how strong the opponent is. If it is a skull with lines on it means a vert strong opponent. A skull with no lines means not as strong so that can help save some time when looking for a pit to steal! Good luck!

That’s a good trick he’s learned by using the State #s of opponents as a point in time to set a benchmark of probable opponent strength and growth. Cuts an entire step out of the process. Brilliant.

-reset only if you went into a too high pit.
-lvl5 pit occupants are 30m+ usually 45-55m up to any, some high players sleep here too. :)
-When you fight for spot and loose nothing happens try different spot. No real casualties even if you loose, there is no risk in trying.
-When you steal a spot you get 20%. If 100k currently you get 20k. If 150k you get 30k.
-You cannot lose all you mined, max 20% you still get 80%. Just check in like every hour if you are concerned and redeploy if kicked.
-While there can be popular page numbers (??? 555? etc.) if you attack 100k+ then he was left alone
for longer so higher chance you wont be attacked too early either....
-For me state numbers are irrelevant, there are farm low powered acoounts in low number states and paying insane strongs at newer ones
so simply check for might. You could check which modules and chips are strong of theirs assuming those troops are defending,
but for me its a great time saver to just find a much weaker or just simply "risk": try and if failed move try other spot not to calcualate and spend
too much time on this.
Protected field: lvl1 field is the only protected, you can only choose empty spots, and you will never be attacked. Lvl2+ are unprotected.
VIP7 tool finding empty spots is BAD to use due to above reasons. YOu will be attacked and loose few of collected, so you also
should also starts with headstart, getting their 20%. I tried max pit level i could beat the spider and go for empty spot,
i was ninjad too frequenty. Not worth it.
Good information and accurate to the best of my knowledge! Including some stuff I didnt know so thanx for that! Also I was told about a good tip related to the strength of the opponent. If the skull icon has lines on it, then it may be a difficult battle for you against a stronger opponent. A plain skull no lines should be a weaker or comparable might player that you should have a good chance of stealing! Thanx for the tips!

So a few things not mentioned:
1) There is a protected layer. You can't be stolen from within level 1. Level 1 is 14.4k/hour, which is 86,400 rare earth in six hours (103,000 if you have a subscription)...which is...not insubstantial. This is actually a very sweet deal for ALL levels of might. Why?
2) You reap what you sow. You can raid people, but you aren't protected, you WILL be raided against. In fact, the people you raid against KNOW you defeated them, and will come back for their goods if they can. Granted, if you fight someone with significantly lower might than you, they can't win...but if you fight a close battle...they are coming back.
3) You only steal a percentage of what they have mined. (I think the rate is also based on how well or poorly you did in the fight too, but can't confirm) So this makes your winnings VERY random. As the video stated: Yes, you do want to find people that have already mined a lot, to increase your earnings. However, you have to do some math here..and some thinking: If you have 5 raids, AND you raid someone to get 30,000 rare earth each time, AND you manage to survive not getting raided yourself for two hours, all five times, to recall out. Then congratulations, you have earned 150,000 rare earth.
...think about that...
For a PERFECT RUN, against FIVE OPPONENTS THAT HAVE MINED OVER 150,000 THEMSELVES...
...waiting TWO HOURS EACH TIME TO RECALL OUT YOURSELF.
150,000 rare earth.
Then keep in mind how mind numbingly boring a task it is to scroll through 3,000+ pages, looking for someone that:
1) Isn't in your state (Because state Etiquette...it's not a rule...but mind the fucking state etiquette)
2) Mined 150,000+ rare earth themselves
3) Is a might you can take on
And you have to rinse and repeat that, SUCCESSFULLY, five more times.
You get 86,000 (106,000) per six hours at level one, without fear of getting raided. That is guaranteed, in your pocket, take it to the bank. 345,600 rare earth a day (520,000 if subscribed)
Am I saying raiding is bad? Nope...but it's a gamble. You aren't going to get a million a day, like video, unless you are 100 million might or higher. Because, despite this guys...dubious claim of: "Lower states equal easier people to beat"...there are always a bigger fish than you in this game...always. I've ran into people with 1 billion+ might....and I have seen THEM get beaten.
Some caveats:
Yes, when you raid, you get that 30,000 up front, and then whatever else you mined before either 1) Your two hours is up and you recall, or 2) You get stolen from yourself. So the actual value of say, raiding a level 5 mine, and getting 30,000 for that raid, and staying for 2 hours, is something like 80,000 rare earth total. Once again, that looks fucking awesome, doesn't it? Nearly what you get in level 1 for six hours...in a third of the time. It's far easier said on paper, than done in practice...unless you are like video, and have 100 million+ might.
5) IF YOU GET RAIDED AND LOSE. You lose exactly half your earnings. End of story. Done. Half gone. Enjoy. Compared to the winner only getting a percentage? This is a BAD DEAL ALL AROUND. If you mined 150,000 rare earth, and get raided successfully. You just lost 75,000 rare earth. If you are a raider and beat someone that mined 150,000 rare earth? You are getting 30,000...at best. Not even half...but a fifth. Where did the other 45,000 go? Might want to get your troops to sow up the holes in their pockets.
4) IF YOU DO WANT TO GO THE RAIDING LIFE. Then type in a random number, and go to that page..make sure it's a fair distance away from the beginning, or ending page. The more random and nestled in the middle you are, the less likely you are going to be spotted, and raided. Auto-Find doesn't find people for you to target..it finds empty spots for you to mine...other people have to scour through page...after page....after page....after page....just to find someone to beat. It's long, its extenstive, its exhausting, its boring. Make it even more boring by picking a page right around the middle of the cluster.
Like what you do Valance, but you really should consider being more thorough...I get that this is a fucking old video, and times have changed, but c'mon man..you missed out on some basics.
I like that you were very thorough. However there are some mistakes in there. Before I get to that I would like to say this is one of the first videos I did and was more an introduction to the rare earth pit and the importance. It wasn't intended to be the complete guide. At the time I didn't realize that level 1 pit was all that was protected. I never ever gathered in level 1 pit. Just an accident not on purpose. But you are right I missed that caveat and for low might players they absolutely should be gathering in level 1 pit. It's the easiest most reliable way to gain rare earth and it's easy and hassle free. However once you can gather in rare pit 5 or higher you should be. Which leads me to the big mistake you made which is you do not lose half of your gathered resources. What is stolen (20%) is what you lose. Nothing more. In addition like you said if it was a close battle you can regain that with revenge. I have a second video on the rare earth pit that covers that. Another note is that it doesn't even necessarily have to be a very close battle. If you haven't been attacked in a while your revenge targets still exist. If you have upgraded more in the same time frame as them then you can win the revenge battle just by getting stronger. Last thing I want to say is there are of course multiple tactics that can be employed. The main consideration is how much time one can spend on it, how strong the player is and which pit they are gathering in. Thank you for pointing out some things I missed and sharing your tactics. You can use Mega March as well if you have that available to you in gathering in the pit

Yeah, it is good to stay at a lower level of playing field for sure, I was pit 6 and i could make it throughout an entire cycle without being beat, then i went up to pit 7 and i am lucky to make it to the end, sometimes i get beaten out of my spot in under 5 minutes.

I always check commanders level, gear, gems, modules... and am still losing to people that have less in all those things, but the game doesn't say "why" it just says "defeated" with me losing a higher percentage... any idea of why that would be?
Excellent vid, thanks. With many higher lvl players now immigrating to newer states, the state # isn't a guarantee that they'll be newer players, but worth looking at. Do you know if activating a military talent set, entering the pit, then switching back to economy talent set changes your talents, or are they "fixed" when you enter the pit?
So if you are occupying a pit with military talents and switch to economy the troops in the occupied pit still have the memory of the military talents. And yes you are right immigration has changed a lot and now newer states don't mean newer players. At least not completely.
@King of Zed I just started the pit and I don't have T9 troops and yet it gives them to me to use in the pit why is that I've noticed it does that for a couple other things as well.

i went into lvl6 last night before watching this video. maybe go back down to lvl 5 we'll see. since VIP 7 i have only done auto find. great info. now i know why i get kicked all the time anot very productive. lol. so, lvl 6 spider. i have 113000 T8 troops for march. Rider based (98K) with some fighters to make march cap. i zeroed my vehicles and shooters and enetered my estimated ratio of riders and fighters. i smoked his ass. big time. by far. my march is just under 14mm.
Nice! You could probably do fine in 6 you just have to make sure you are recalling after 3 or 4 hours so you arent as big of a target. But if you're struggling 5 is just fine.
So question. I want to get in to lvl 6 just to get into the shop area of that lvl 6 lol.
So my question is.
How to know which heros are the best to use?
Since you can't pick the troops usually troop stat based heroes are the best or if you have say a really high level hero for your main troop type using them and all troop stat heroes. so as an example requiem Meyers Mars Marlowe nam hayul are all good choices.
I have raided a few and it gives me a message that field cannot be reset, but does not give me the jewels. I have raided others and have received them. Is there a limit. What am I missing
Not sure. That's probably a question for customer service but you can only reid 5 times a day. So if you are raiding more than that, must be the issue.

In the earth shop, what does it mean when it says wood (unlimited for 5,000)? Is that for the day or….confused. Thanks.
So every item can be purchased if you have enough rare earth however some items are limited to how many you can purchase each day. The good news is the shop refreshes daily. So every time the "day" resets (which is server reset time til server reset time) then the counter on those items also reset. Same as many of your free attempts (i.e. arena, etc.) As an example module promoters ii are limited to 10 per day. You can only buy 10 at a time but every time the server resets you can buy 10 more (server time for reset is the same every day although what time that is for you is based on your geography)

Yes 350000 for one frag. So it takes 3.5 mil to unlock him. (I actually recommend unlocking him first this way if possible). Good luck.
Ok so I have a question no one seems to be able to answer. What kind of might/troop level do you need to be at in order to get into the level 6 field? I don't want to stay there, but I need to be able to get in just once to unlock items in the shop, and I'm sending 100,800 t9 fighters + matching heroes and 300+% atk/def/hp and am only doing 30% damage to the spider dude. So is it really only for 100m+ players to be able to get into or am I fighting wrong or what? Any help appreciated on figuring this out, thanks!
Hard to say without seeing all your stats and your percentage on the spider. I can tell you the percentage you see is what is left. So if it is 10% then you've done 90% damage to the spider. Your might isnt a true indication of your military strength. You can have really high might and not be that strong of a hitter and vice versa. So watch the percentage. It took me a bit to clear stage 6. But t9s troops can do it. Just might need troop boost upgrades.
@@ValenceRing Ahhh so the 30% I see at the end means I'm doing 70% damage to him? That at least makes me feel a little better haha. I've tried really hard to focus my troops for max boosts and I'm like minutes away from hitting 50m might overall with my chips/mods/gear focused pretty strongly on my troop type, same with research, glory,, and eva, always focusing on my fighters. I don't have vip 10 yet tho so the talent set switch might be the missing element perhaps? Gah patience is not my storng suit lol

What do the different skulls mean on the pits (there are simple looking ones and ones that have lines and look angry)? I have heard that the simple ones you can easily defeat and the others are not but I have tried that and either I am doing something wrong or that's not what they mean...
So the skulls do mean what you have been told. What is unclear is if it is based off might or troop tier. So my assumption (just an assumption) is that the angry ones with lines represent battles that may be difficult for you to win and the blank skulls represent battles that should be easy to win. However it is possible to defeat the angry lines skulls and it is possible to lose to a blank skull. The reason being they are just an oversimplification of the possibility based on factors that are vague. So let's say you are fighter based with t9 troops. And there is an angry skull that is shooter based with t9 troops. They may have stronger boosts on their shooters then you have on your fighters. But since shooters are weak against fighters you actually win the battle. And vice versa. You may have better stats overall but send in your fighters against some slightly weaker riders and lose. So the way the skull looks isnt very important. It is just a quick guide on battles that may be harder or easier. But does not guarantee a victory nor a loss. Since a losing raid attempt doesn't cost you any attempts or casualties I recommend ignoring the look of the skull altogether. Look for the amount of rare earth they have gathered or the time gathered and attack anyone that has the amount of resources you would like to steal from. If you win congrats! If you lose, try someone else! Hope this helps!

How do I get my hero to 6 star at 350,plus have over 2000 6 star?
Not sure I understand what you're asking. Hero frags are how you enhance your heros. Only 5* heroes can go to 6* once you have enough books and they are +5.
@@ValenceRing Like I have 5 star heros trying make them into a 6 star.I believe the requirements 500,000 antisurum and 2000 six star to upgrade the 5 star hero to a 6 I believe
Gotcha. Yes that's correct. You need 500k antiserum plus the 2k 6* books. However you be clear the hero also has to be enhanced to +5 before you can increase their star level.

Does anybody know how you get one of those protected positions with a weird little skull?
The only protected pits are in level 1 pit. All of level 1 is protected. All other puts levels 2 through 8 are free to be stolen. The lines indicate the difficulty of the opponent. Lined skulls means may be a difficult opponent to steal from. Unlined skulls represent easier battles. Lined skulls can still be beaten and unlined skulls can still result in a loss. Its an estimation of the outcome not a guarantee. I did a part 2 to this video that covers this in more detail as well as some advanced tactics. how do you prevent from your crystals from being stolen?
Rare earth pit acts like a battle zone. So you have to have a stronger defense than those attacking you to defend your pit. Or you can drop back down to a level 1 pit which is protected. So you wont get stolen there.

How do I increased gathering rare earth output?
Higher level pits are the best way to increase the amount of rare earth you get. Also recalling and attacking will give you bonus rare earth. You can do that up to 5 times every day.

If you purchase the subscription you get a bonus to rss gathering including the rare earth pit.

If you look in the gift center in between gold and silver cards there is a new option that just came out with the most recent update called Subscription. One of the boosts with it is the rss boost.

Well pit 1 is always an option. They always have open pits too. If you're vip level 7 you can auto occupy.
how to even start mining when everyone is either unbeatable or "protected".
You have to find an empty spot.
How do you get new heros??
Noah's tavern, completing events, winning epic choice cards and hero frags. Beating zombies and zombie lairs. Or they can be purchased in the mall.
The raid attempts are how many people tried to steal from you
So after I shot the video I went back and started looking at the raid attempts. Every time I attacked the count went down by 1 until I hit zero. So I'll look into it again to be sure but I do believe it limits how many times you can attempt to raid. The important note is losses dont count as a raid attempt. I would still check who you're attacking first to make sure you're fairly confident in a win! Good luck! I'll keep investigating to be sure.

Might isnt the only factor in the game and it takes time and effort to improve might and a lot of players spend money on things they want or for events that help them build their might. If you are a f2p player it can definitely seem hard to keep up. My biggest recommendation is to play the game how you want to play for enjoyment. Find a good alliance and a good state if necessary where you can just have fun. There is a lot to do, you dont have to do it all at once and you dont have to measure how fun the game is based on anyone else's might. I put out videos to help everyone find aspects of the game they like so they can improve their game experience and do well in the areas that they enjoy. I wish you luck! I am not saying they are bad if you have two accounts and are playing "fair" but what is a grey area is too risky for me lol that's all

New trick I learned I'm pulling in 2mil a day. It's not easy but easiest thing to do. All about utilizing an alarm. You can pull off your pit after 2 hours so once in my pit i set an alarm for 2 hours soon as it goes off I jump in look for highest possible. Sometimes this takes for ever. I try shoot for people who have collected 300-350k (pit 7) recieving 60k+ then set my alarm for 2 hours. Most ive hit in one week was 10 mil only time ive got into the top 100. RedᏒedBeardFknᎮiᏒate
(s93 UWS) as for pulling in 2 mil a day....that was one time most the time it's 1 to 1.5m can't exactly get every 2 hours but weekends I hit high
