you made me so happy when you realized our first president's speech in this video, and don't worry about history. i've been to Holland a few times, meeting a lot of Dutch people and they always say the Indonesians are our brothers
It's okay bro, that the past when the colonial time, we know how struggle in the past, but now Indonesia be friend to all country. If i'm not wrong, in Netherlands there are many people that have Indonesia blood or half Indonesia and they still learn the Indonesia culture too. I'm Indonesian and let me explain little bit about that video, actually that was medley folks song or traditional song from many region in Indonesia, like Java, Bali, Papua and many more. Every part of song have different language (local language), different costume, and different culture that show about Indonesia diversity. Then when you hear music rock the backsound was the speech from our first president when declare independence in 1945. After that Indonesia patriotic song. Yeah this music video made for celebrate Indonesia independence day at 17 August. I hope you understand and enjoy my friend 👍

Not sure if someone realizes the main story line of this music video. It is actually highlighting the situation of Indonesia from time to time. 1. The narration tells the existence of Indonesia (previously known as Nusantara) with all of its diverse landmarks and natural landscapes. Note: The word Nusantara means Islands between Islands or simply translated into the archipelago. Each island has its own kingdom, but all are under the rule of a few big kingdoms like; Srivijaya, Majapahit, Kediri, Sunda etc. 2. Then the music started with an uplifting song Paris Barantai, and then continued by showcasing the different look, different languages and outfits of its people to showcase how diverse the country was, yet they all shared the same happiness. 3. The dark scene - the western invasion; Portugeese, French, British, the Dutch and Japan came to colonize the country for 350 years, which bring so much pain in a very single Indonesian people. 4. The mother singing lullaby tells us how hard that situation was and even every newly born children were destined to fight for independence. You can't be non - patriotic when you've brainwashed to do so even since the first day you see the world. 5. Listen to the solo guitar played by Alffy. That's was the sound of revolution. We have to fight back. 6. Independence day declared by our first President. 7. All of the youths unite with a strong oath to protect the nation. The song Bagimu Negeri is one of Indonesia's national songs, which actually more than just a song. It's the promise, the oath of the youths to protect and defend the nation. 8. The Garuda and Antaboga awaken to guard the nation from above and under. Garuda is the main symbol of the country. Antaboga is a mythological creature from our previous Majapahit Kingdom which believed to be the guardian of the underearth dimension.
We hold onto our history, yet at the same time we moved on from the past. Learn what should be learned, and more importantly Dutch and Indonesia are both tied in a good relationship now. Enjoyed your reaction, your perspective, and input.
This is an explanation from lombokfriendly Hi , thanks for doing this awesome reaction. Really enjoyed it. Sending you big hugs from Indonesia. Most people were asking: What are those headpieces she wore? Those headpieces (crowns) she wore called Tiara for females or Mahkota for males. In the past you must wear those kind of headpieces to identify yourself as a royal family member and normally made of gold and silver with diamond installed in the middle of it. Every diamond placed in a Tiara or Mahkota can't be just a normal diamond. It has to be something with a magical power. Meanwhile, headpieces for the usual people are made of clothes. Headpiece is one the most important outfits for almost every ethnic group in Indonesia. Even more important than shirts. In my original tribe and many others, we don't wear shirt for males, We usually wear 3 pieces of sarong (a loose cloth) to cover our waist up to the knee (No shirts on) and of course a headpiece. In my own tradition (Sasak in Lombok) headpiece isn't just an accessory. It is actually more as a symbol that you appreciate your head and to prove that you are responsible to protect it even from the heat. Headpiece is the very first thing you wear when you're born. Your parent will have it made for you a month before you even born. Nowadays, everyone can wear any kind of royal headpieces during their wedding ceremony and many other special occasions. Traditional costumes worn in the video: 1. From the ethnic group (Tribe) of Dayak in Kalimantan called Ta'a (for females) Sapei Sapaq (for males). Their headpieces are made of Hornbill feathers. This is just one of the many traditional costumes belong to the Dayak tribe. 2. I think is from the Kohongian tribe in Sulawesi Utara. This us just one of the many of them in Sulawesi Utara. 3. Based on the headpiece she wore, I think it is from the Asmat tribe called Sali made of bark and decorated with cassowary and bird of paradise feathers. Again, there are so many other traditional costumes in Papua. 4. Kebaya Labuh from the province of Riau. 5. Limpapeh Rumah Nan Gadang from the province of West Sumatera. 6. Payas Agung, Bali. 7. Kebaya Brokat from West Java. 8. Bula Molik (Crescent) made of silver and Gold. What are they singing? (Please refer to the traditional outfits as well because the songs and outfits represent the region where they originated) This video showcases 9 traditional folk songs from 9 ethnic groups out of 879 ethnic group existed in Indonesia. The main song is Bagimu Negeri - One of our national songs. As an Indonesian, there is no way you not gonna cry when singing or listening to that song. It is our oaths to the mother land. Our promises to the nation. And as the answer to the prayers of our parent which Alffy described perfectly through that young mother singing lullaby to her newly born son. A lullaby can't only be just a nice song to bring you to sleep, it consists a prayer, wishes and hopes of our parent to see us grow as someone useful to the nation. Nothing can make them happier than that. By the way, here's the list of the folk songs featured: 1. Paris Barantai from Kalimantan Selatan 2. Si Patokaan from Sulawesi Utara 3. Sajojo from Papua 4. Soleram from Riau 5. Janger from Bali 6. Manuk Dadali from Jawa Barat 7. Anak Kambing Saya from Nusa Tenggara Timur 8. Kampuang Nan Jauh di Mato from Sumatera Barat 9. Tak Lelo Lelo Ledung from Jawa Tengah National song featured is Bagimu Negeri. What is that traditional musical instrument he's playing? That musical instrument is a traditional Dayak instrument called Sape. You must check out UYAU MORI playing Sape SOLO which will bring you into the world of true relaxations. Who did the speech and what is it about? It was the original proclamation speech done by our first president Soekarno. Are those places real? The buildings and nature scenery were all real but yes, CGI effects applied to make the video looks more cinematic. Those floating buildings are; Rumah Gadang (Sumatera), Rumah Toraja (Toraja), Borobudur Buddhist temple (Jogjakarta), and Pura Ulun Danu (Bali). If I'm not mistaken, the Goddess statue where the singer starts her singing is at Royal Pitamaha, Ubud, Bali. Of course they're not floating in real except Pura Ulun Danu which situated on the lake. What is the Symbol that awaken the dragon? It is called Surya Majapahit or known as Dewata Nawa Sanga - The 9 Gods that protect the universe from 9 different dimension compass wise. What are those creatures? The creatures you see at the end of the video are GARUDA and a Dragon known as ANTABOGA from the mythology of the ancient Majapahit kingdom . Antaboga is believed to be the guardian of the underearth dimension. That's why you will find it featured in many of our traditional carvings, crafts, and even in our architectural designs. Meanwhile, Garuda is the main symbol of our country (You can't really showcase it for commercial purposes because It's protected by law). Garuda itself is a huge gigantic bird that can only be found in Indonesia. And is believed by the Hindu as the main vehicle of God Vishnu. Where they shot this video? 1. GWK - Garuda Wishnu Kencana in Bali which known as one of the biggest statues in the world. 2. Royal Pita Maha, Ubud 3. Taman Nusa, Bali 4. Ubud Valley 5. Baleurang, Ubud. Note: Trust me, there are thousands of 'mysteries' yet to be unfold in Indonesia (Nusantara). By the way, thank you for the awesome reaction. It means a lot for all of us in Indonesia.
Lol it feels weird coming here for BLACKPINK only to stumble upon this. Indonesia is a unified nation of 17.491 islands from the Sabang until Merauke and hasa wide variety of islands, customs, arts, cultures, dances, tribal songs, religions and languages. The first dance and the first song is the dance from Borneo (Kalimantan). Here are the details: 1. The local song and dress areas are used in the common Paris Barantai (Kalimantan). 2. Si Patokaan regional song (North Sulawesi) 3. Sajojo county song (Papua). 4. Soleram (Riau). 5. Kampuang nan Jauh Di Mato (West Sumatra) and a plate dance. 6. Traditional instrument instrument named "Sape" (Kalimantan). 7. Janger (Bali) dance. 8. The song of the "Manuk Dadali" region (West Java). 9. The song of the " Anak Kambing Saya" (Nusa Tenggara Timur / NTT). 10. Tak Lelo Lelo Lelo Ledhung (Central Java). 11. The declaration of Independence of Indonesia was brought to you by the original voice of Indonesia's first President. "Ir. Soekarno". 12. A song "Bagimu Negeri" National song of Indonesia. In the video there's a dragon, it's an anthaboga. Antaboga is a mythological creature that is legendary in almost every corner of the world. His presence is still a great puzzle in life on earth. Each country in the world has a belief in dragons, in its own version. Indonesia, for a certainty, also had a dragon figure that became mythology. The dragon was named the Hyang Antaboga (Java call it Ontobugo). For the peoples of Java and Bali, the story of Antaboga has been handed down from generation to generation with the same story, drawn from the story of the puppet. The same beliefs and tales about antaboga in Java and Bali are due to the common belief of people in the era of Hindu-Buddhist teachings developing in nusantara. For Javans, Antaboga was the earth's buffer god. Antaboga is a manifestation of the dragon in the mythology of the Javanese pirates. Sang Hyang Antaboga was one of the characters in the form of a dragon and had a number of powers, one of which was to bring a dead body back to life. In the story of the passage, the Antaboga is depicted as living in a place called "Saptapralata" or seven layers of earth underground. He also had a wife named Goddess Supreti, who looked like a dragon. From there he had offspring and children. Javanese belief in dragons, is really not only portrayed in an anthaboga figure. Before it appeared, in the relief from the majapahit also appeared a representation of the dragon. Nagaraja Anuhut Surya relief was found in the Sawentar temple, in Blitar (East Java), dated 1396 c.e. Happy 76th of Independence Day of the Republic of Indonesia to all Indonesian people everywhere in the world. MERDEKA!!!

Hi , thanks for doing this awesome reaction. Really enjoyed it. Sending you big hugs from Indonesia.
Most people were asking:
What are those headpieces she wore?
Those headpieces (crowns) she wore called Tiara for females or Mahkota for males.
Headpiece is the very first thing you wear when you're born. Your parent will have it made for you a month before you even born.

5. Limpapeh Rumah Nan Gadang from the province of West Sumatera.

MERDEKA!!!
So genius
Terima kasih mister 🙏
