O wow thank you so much I'm glad I don't sound annoying hahaha I never thought of myself as sounding relaxing but I'm so happy you feel that way! Maybe I should do Sims ASMR hee hee kidding
Super cool. I love your tutorial videos. Your creativity always amazes me. It is like we can hear the wheels turning in your head, it is truly beautiful. ❤️
Thank you so much! One day turned a post and it did not work, and TM told me, that some objects can´t be rotated. And I was like: "ok...". And now I see, what possibilities come up with those elements, that can´t be turned. Your creativity is simply awesome! Thanks again!
I've only ever tried 90 or 180 degrees and was always annoyed that it would disappear or not work. I thank you for showing me that it is possible. I just got the idea to try it differently. Thank you so much - Player ID TrudeHair
YAY my absolute pleasure love and I'm so excited that you have some new ideas for what you can do with it! When I first started using TOOL I did the same thing where I just assumed they all disappeared if you tried to rotate them lol. It's so fun to learn new ways of using TOOL!
Wow, Fanta! Thanks so much for this tip! I’ve always gotten so annoyed at the objects that don’t rotate with the mod, but naoooowww, you’ve opened my eyes to a whole new level of manipulation!! 💛 Wonderfully put together, as usual duck!
LOL "duck" I love it!!! hahahaha and my absolute pleasure, thank YOU for your lovely comment and I totally agree - it always bugged me too because there are some awesome objects that would look so good rotated! Still bums me out but at least we can smush them hee hee
I finished the deco shell! I hope you like it. Thank you for this video. Your so amazing! Your so creative and I have learned so much from you! Thank you again! Big hugs!
O YAAAAAAAY!!! I seriously can't wait to tour it, thank you so much for joining in the fun and putting in all that work to decorate the shell! Also thank you SO MUCH for your kind encouragement you are truly lovely! BIG HUGS BACK ATCHA!
This is amazing! It would be great if you create a lot or room with all the debug objects that can be rotated with this method. It will be a time saver for other builders. Thank you for taking the time to explain this.
Thank you so much and brilliant idea since I know a lot of console players can't use mods so that would help them too and builders on PC! I'll make sure to start uploading these as rooms for you guys! and I will also post my prebuilt arches from my Hogwarts build when I finish that video too so you can use those as well if you like!
You just always take it to another level! 😆 I've used "smushing" before, too, and found it very helpful, but I could never just spend hours going through all the objects trying to see how they rotate and what I can do with them! This dedication of yours to your art is what really fascinates me. 🤯 One idea that I actually didn't think to utilise before is rotating objects that cannot be rotated to get rid of the footprint ... 🤔 Hmmm ... This could be immensely useful indeed. I also realised during my latest build that it does actually get much easier to use T.O.O.L. the more you work with it. You also kind of get a feeling for which numbers to put in to manipulate an object just like you want. I don't know if I would've delved into the mod as much without you though! Your tutorials are incredibly useful and inspiring, thank you so much! 🤗 All the best! ❤️
AWE thank you so much my lovely-jubbly friend! lol I've been smushing for a while too but I figured I might as well make video out of it since I've been doing it a lot lately just in case other ppl didn't realize you can do it hahaha glad to hear you've been smushing too hee hee and YES if you rotate on the other axis to change the footprint by 180 degrees, for most objects it will remove footprint so your sim can walk over/under/through it! I'm gonna try and do a tutorial on that too soon just to test it out with a bunch of objects lol. and YES Tool does get much easier and you are right, after a while you get a sense for the numbers and you can just look at an object and know the degrees of the angle you want - they should use this mod as part of geometry training in school hahaha I would have loved math so much more! and THANK YOU you are always so encouraging and i'm truly honored that my videos could help and inspire an any tiny way possible! Appreciate you TONS! HUGS
@@fantasims I'm actually a math teacher, so I know how hard geometry is for many students, as they can't just rotate objects in their heads or imagine them from different angles. I think that (certain) video games can and do actually help teach them spatial awareness, and in a fun way, too! You just need to have seen and done something enough times in order to imagine it and transfer the experience to new situations or objects. I originally learned it the old-fashioned way by playing with legos and doing arts and crafts (like folding paper, building cardboard boxes, or sculpting), but video games have helped a lot as well. When I asked my students who liked doing arts and crafts in their spare time, no one raised their hand. It just isn't a thing any more, I guess. Too bad. 😔
@@alisakumm9165 O that's so cool! really struggled with math in school and I thought I was stupid but then my older sister (has a physics degree) tutored me to prep for my SAT's and I got the highest score in math even though it was my worst subject - just goes to show that the WAY a subject is taught is so important because so many kids who feel stupid are actually smart! lol And yes it is such a shame that crafts is not as popular now, I grew up during the DIY craze era lol I love creating things out of random things and puzzling how to engineer it, it is so satisfying! I hope you're also uploading these, I haven't added my mods back yet & I'd really love to have some of these brilliant "smushes" you've made! For future reference, I think the axis is actually not random (I mean, I haven't tried EVERY object, but I think I've noticed this pattern with most of them): if the axis goes down to meet the side of the footprint with the arrows on it, that rotation will only rotate the footprint, while if the axis goes sideways on the footprint arrows, that rotation will smush the object.
AWe thanks so much wonderful! I'm so glad you finished that deer it's awesome!! Thanks for the tip on the rotation! Awe you are too kind and you TOTALLY can! I just mess around moving objects and then eventually come up with ideas for how to put them together - trust me I make a lot of weird looking stuff in my pursuit to make something cool hahahaha
Wow the smooshing factor grows exponentially. That means theres so much more variation between 70 to 80 degrees than between 60 to 70. this is so weird
Yeah I don't know why it does that since it's technically the same amount of degrees! hardly anything happens between 0-10 degrees and then so much happens between 80-90!
What a creative way to turn a limitation into another tool in your arsenal! Creative genius at work
