It reminds me of my young age. I was staying in West mambalam. Every year Madurai somu used to come to Ayodya mandapam for katcheri. He used to sing this song after 10pm. The surrounding used to be very very calm and his voice used to be heard from very fsr away. We all will he waiting for this song. Very nostalgic. Thank you uttara for bringing back our memory.
Yes he used to stop before Muruga and by patting on his cheek whisper Murugaa. His favourite (marutha malai) would be sung after 12 am. Really relished . Ayodhya mandapam's Ram navami concerts and the pravachanams by renowned scholars were all a big treat .
