The explosive charge is used to build multiple ships on the same blueprint and then separate them to end up with multiple separate ships.

Oh yes, I am familiar with that. thanks. Although, now you can just make new blueprints without it. Maybe the only thing it could be for is if you wanted attached fighters. to break away. That gives me ideas on making an escape pod.

hahaha, thanks man. I know that UA-cam algorithm is really "troublesome" at best. But, as long as you like the adventure, that is all that really counts, I guess.
