Great review as always, Lauren! With so many pockets/zippers, the weight on that bag adds up. Would love to see Packer Hacker tackle the question: how to travel on a size/weight-restricted airline (like Lufthansa to Europe). That starts with a lightweight bag. How would the team approach that challenge? Keep up the great reviews!
Thank you for a great quick review. A bag review doesn’t need to be 35 mins. You did a great job of showing us all the bag features and what you store! Nice job!!
I used this bag (40 L Transit) over my Farpoint 40 in my recent trips both international and domestic US. It survived a downpour without having the rain fly. It takes in a lot of gear (a CPAP machine, health kit, tech pouches, clothes pouch and more) but the weight adds up. I attached Shimoda straps in front for external carry such as attaching a jacket. The laptop sleeve is convenient for TSA checks. I use the hip belt which helps with the shoulder straps and load lifters. Great to see PH do a review on this bag!
Were you able to use as a carry on item on the international flights or did you have to check it in or gate check it. I’m going on an international trip next year and wondering if I should stop this up.
@@alf.quijano7582 it depended on the airline. I was able to fly the Transit as a carry on Alaska, American, Delta, United and Korean. I had to use my Osprey Proxima 30 instead on Qatar because of the weight restrictions.
@@pinoyastronautThanks for the follow up information. I currently have an Aer Travel Pack 3 and am wondering if I should add the Wandrd to the mix. This is helpful information
Kinda weird to complain about the pockets looking bulky when empty but not pointing out that it also means that these pockets stay useable when the main compartment is stuffed. Something not discussed on the heimplanet which I have. Fill the main compartment and those outside pockets, which are very clean and flat, store absolutely nothing anymore.
The velcro pocket at 12:45, with both ends open, is actually the stowage compartment for the flap of the camera cube, if you want to use the side access to your camera.
Crazy I just searched for your review of this bag and you juuust posted it! Will PH be giving the bag a number system rating as well please? Love your reviews!
hi, not Lauren, but I do have the transit pack 35L (and not the Aer). The transit pack is very pockety and zippery - if all of those pockets and storage spots are your thing, then the wandrd may get the nod. The Aer is more simple with the big bucket plus admin panel section and a few other features. Both are well made and neither is light (4.1lbs for the transit and 3.9lbs for the Aer). I ended up replacing the zipper pulls on the Wandrd with more standard pulls to tone down the exterior as it was quite blingy with the large lockable pulls. Overall it probably comes down to looks and whether you would take advantage of all of those pockets and zippers (and split clamshell storage of the wandrd as well as the quick access), or whether you would find all of that to be too much and want the more streamlined features and straightforward approach of the Aer. Will be in the Aer store today and update with anything else I notice on the Travel Pack 3. Edit: Only thing to add is that with the Transit pack, if you are travelling with it at 35L (expanded), it would crunch down unexpanded a bit more than the Aer would compress with the straps if you wanted to use it as an emergency day pack (it would still be large at 30L, you'd probably be better off with a packable day pack, but it could be done in a pinch).
Nice presentation but at high pace. Give us some time to breathe….😉 Like previously written would have been interesting to have a presentation of the bag before going to all pockets and its organization. Name, size, volume, weight and existing alternative in the range. Pricing idea at the time of the review would be interesting and what alternative bags from other brands with your experience. 🙏🏻

In a 200+ flights all over the world, I have never had my carry on checked for weight!

I enjoy your reviews. It would be helpful if the reviewer would give the dimensions as well as capacity.

Phew total pocket overload. Looks to be sturdy quality, but it's too much organisation. Sometimes, a little less is more.

I agree that you could get lost with all the pockets. I do like the expansion feature. Will check out the 40L

How does this compare to the Aer travel pack 3 xpac 35L?

Is the Wandrd Prvke 41L a good options for all in one daily/travel?
I have the 35L, the 🎒 botton grap handle is rubbing against/digging my 😫 lower back.
Wow 🙆♀️

What is other travel bag like this wandrid transit travel backpack and can expand 35 to 45 litter and has lots of pockets outside and inside?
Matador globerider
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Goodness that looks like it's going to get heavy. One bag travel is overrated.
