  • In dental implantology, digital implant planning is widely used to preoperatively assess the bone quality and digitally plan the optimal implant position starting with the design of the final restoration.
Cone Beam Computed Tomography (CBCT) is used for the assessment of bone and soft tissue for implant placement and intraoral scanning is used for the assessment of the soft-tissue contour.
The combination of intraoral scan with CBCT allows the determination of the implant position and its spatial relation to anatomical structures, while the Primescan allows us to design the final crown before the surgery.
Join Dr. Ben Bringewald, as he reviews best practices to integrate the Primescan intraoral scanner with CBCT to accurately and confidently place implants; including:
    • The multi-step process to take a digital impression
    • Designing the restoration and merging the intraoral scan with the CBCT image
    • Digital workflow process of a predictable treatment plan using the SICAT implant suite of the Sidexis 4 software
